Roland cooked for Stacey as they ate right after.
Stacey has already grown accustomed to his level of cooking that she even thought that the sparkling chickens produced daily in Sparkling Buds was not that appetizing anymore. Even though she was not a connoisseur, she could still tell the difference between Roland's sparkling chicken and the one cooked in the Sparkling Buds.
"Your fried chicken of heaven is truly more delicious than the one cooked in the kitchen," she exclaimed as she gobbled a drumstick like a famished rabbit.
Roland smiled at her almost exaggerated praise. However, he accepted it with a smile as he felt proud of himself.
"Fried chicken of heaven?" Roland asked amusedly. Who came up with such a cool sounding nickname for their fried-chicken?
Stacey smiled and explained the matter to him.
Apparently, it was the customer themselves who came up with such a nickname. The nickname started to spread in the internet and it became popular along with the store's fame soaring due to the viral post.
Roland nodded his head amusedly hearing such an interesting thing to happen. The internet people were truly creative and imaginative.
He instructed Stacey not to waste this cool sounding nickname and make use of it to promote the store even more. In which case, Stacey told him that she already has this matter handled. She could be considered a business genius, how could she let this opportunity go away?
Roland patted her head in satisfaction as he gave her a satisfactory kiss as well. Stacey was about to go at it, but fortunately, Roland managed to hold her back in, saying that he was about to go to school now and they were still inside her office and that there were other employees just outside them.
Stacey could only pout in disappointment but she did not hold Roland back. She still had work as well and she was also afraid that the other employees might hear them doing the act inside her office.
Roland bid her a farewell as he called Janine to fetch him over. The employees greeted him with a smile as he made his way to the back door. He smiled and nodded to them in return as he waited for Janine.
Janine arrived some time later with the Budi R8 Coupe as they made their way to school.
"What time are you going out later?" Janine asked.
Roland shrugged his shoulders and said, "I don't know, it depends, I guess. But my schedule covers until six in the evening."
Janine nodded her head. "Oh right, the spare clothes and your bag are at the back!"
Earlier on the phone, Roland requested for her to bring him an extra shirt as he was a bit sweaty from the errand earlier. The school bag was also given to be brought as well.
Roland nodded his head as he took the nicely folded shirt at the back of the seat. However, he did not change yet, considering that Janine was still there. He planned to change in the school bathroom later.
However, Janine, who had made up her mind after her little talk with Stacey, did not let such an opportunity past to interact more with Roland.
"Y-you can change, I don't mind," she said as she bit her lower lips due to nervousness.
Janine was naturally a straightforward yet shy person.This time, both of her contrasting personalities acted at the same time. She seemed not to look at Roland as she said those words, but her side-glance did not escape Roland's eyes at all.
Knowing that she might just be acting so that he won't get uncomfortable while changing, Roland just shook his head and said, "Don't worry about it. I'll just change in the school bathroom."
It was not that he was uncomfortable with a girl around him. Roland's mindset has long changed about it. In truth, he doesn't care at all. However, Janine was still after all his employee, so he thought that acting indecent around her was not a good thing.
Janine gritted his teeth hearing Roland. She bit her lips, gathered her courage once again and said, "D-don't worry about it really. You can change, I won't look, promise!"
This time, Roland finally looked at her strangely. "Well, it's not about you looking. Nevermind, alright then."
In the end, he just shrugged and took off his shirt. He threw the shirt at the back of the car as he proceeded to wear the spare shirt that Janine had brought him.
At that moment, the Budi Car visibly slowed down. Janine's eyes carefully glanced to the side, glancing at Roland's body that has been transformed for the third time already.
Roland was lean and muscular. He no longer looked thin like when he was still at Level 2, and it could be said that he was pretty ripped at this moment. His muscles that were outlined perfectly without the need of him flexing it, bathed Janine's eyes in full glory.
It was such a good sight that Janine's foot ceased stepping on the accelerator.
Roland finished wearing the shirt in an instant and looked at Janine strangely. "Why did we stop?"
Janine was startled awake. It was only at this moment that she realized that her face had already fully turned to Roland. It was only a split second but it still embarrassed her to the core. Even though she had already set her mind, it was not easy overcoming one's own personality after all.
"N-nothing," she said with a cracked voice as her foot finally stepped on the accelerator again.
Due to her talk with Stacey yesterday, Janine has already planned that she must 'flirt' with Roland at any given time and made him fall in love with her as well. The opportunity was already there earlier, however, her personality got a hold of her bravery. She was very embarrassed and ended up not talking on their way to the school at all.
Like yesterday, she also dropped Roland at the same corner as she went to park the Budi R8 Car in the school's parking lot.
"Sigh, this is harder than I thought," she said as she thought of the event earlier.
Her face turned rosy as she disembarked from the Budi R8 Coupe.
