"Yo, the item is already in our possession, when will you send the money?" Scar-face to the person over the phone.

A grin appeared on his face as he nodded his head, "Alright, we'll deliver the goods to you in a few days time."

A while later, Stacey was escorted out by another member of Scar-face gang.

Seeing Roland being held down and beaten up by the few men around him, Stacey was about to run towards him in worry when she noticed that Roland winked his eyes at her as if signaling her to play along.

Fortunately, she caught Roland's signal quickly. She no longer tried to resist as she allowed them to escort her toward's Roland.

"This is a fine one," the thin man from earlier looked at Stacey with a lustful gaze.

The others also turned their head towards Stacey and upon seeing her appearance, they could not help but nod their head in agreement.

Even Scar-face nodded his head as he looked at Stacey with a strange gaze.

"I'll let you guys play with her later after we get the ransom from their parents!" He stated with a straight face as he beckoned for them to secure the place while he and the others brought Roland and Stacey to an abandoned place not far from the dock site.

Meanwhile, as they were moving, Roland had already secretly marked those guys who looked at Stacey with a lustful gaze.

Revenge was not too late when he secured the hostages and when Stacey and his life was no longer in danger with the guns that the opponents possessed.

Inside his mind, he was already planning to make them regret setting their eyes on Stacey.

However, outside, he still acted as if he was weak on his knees after they managed to 'beat' him up.

A few moments later, they finally arrived at the abandoned building.

Inside, Roland saw some familiar faces having bruises on their faces as a dirty cloth was wrapped around their mouth as if to prevent them from making a single sound.

Looking at them, Roland could not help but utter, 'So it's actually them!'

Meanwhile, a hundred meters away behind them, a woman wearing black tight suit could be seen hiding inside a building, looking at the scene unfold with a cold gaze.

She was about to take action earlier when she noticed Roland's timely signal toward's Stacey.

Thinking that he has his own plan, she stopped on her tracks and decided to watch from the shadows for now.

After all, her job was to save and protect Stacey in the shadows and not to show herself until the last moment.

'Let's see what you've got to be able to capture our Young Miss's eyes!'

In another part of Brine City, at the top of tall building, Martin could be seen fidgeting around as he fiddled with his phone.

"Fuck, why can't I contact them at this exact moment?"

He cursed loudly as he tried to dial a lot of numbers saved on his phone.

These were the numbers of his men who usually just laze around because of their lax work.

Some of them were included in the many men in black that Roland saw a week ago .

Although he said that they were his men, they were actually ex fishermen that he managed to recruit over the years.

Their loyalty to him was already unquestionable, the thought of them betraying him never crossed his mind.

At this moment, none of them could be contacted, making him feel uneasy, especially after Stacey's urgent call.

Martin tried to call Roland's number this time, however, a frown appeared on his face as he realized that his number was already out of range.

"Fuck this!" Martin cursed once again as he called Denis this time.

Fortunately, Denis picked up almost instantaneously.

"Meet me and the others at where my brother's yacht was docked last time," he ordered before driving his car towards Brine Dock Site.

Unbeknownst to him, Denis was also actually in kind of trouble at this exact moment.

It was fortunate that at this time, Martin changed his plans midway and decided to go toward the Brine Dock's boss to ask some help.

"Damn it!" Denis cursed at the top of his lungs as he pocketed his phone.

Blood was rolling down his muscular shoulders as a long knife was held on his right hand. pan(da-n0vel.c)om

A few days ago, Scar-face and his gang approached him once again.

At first, he thought that they were there to recruit him again, however, he was proven wrong when Scar-face asked about the owner of the Divine Destiny yacht.

Of course, as a loyal man who values friendship over anything else, he would never dare to sell out Roland, especially at how Roland treated him as if he was his equal during the few hours that they were together.

Knowing that he could do nothing to Denis to make him give out any information, Scar-face just scoffed as he began to pressure him on a daily basis including his friends.

They became even more presumptuous after a few days as they tried to extract whether Roland would still come back and if they did, when they would return.

Knowing what they were planning, Denis remained tight-lipped.

However, as if reaching the limits of his patience, Scar-face personally arrived earlier to threaten him.

After he left with his other men with a dissatisfied face, a fight broke out between Denis and Scar-face's men.

Fortunately, his friends arrived in time and helped him to fend off some of Scar-face's men.

As they were afraid of alerting the authorities, Scar-face's men did not use any guns this time.

Instead, they went for the old style, brawn and knives, to Denis and the other's delight.

However, Scar-face's gang greatly outnumbered them, hence, a chase that has been going on for at least an hour ensued.

The sun was still up when their group bout started, now, it was already night and the chase still continues.

Right now, Denis and his seven friends, all of which were members of Martin's security party, were moving around the dock site to avoid Scar-face's twenty men party.

One of them had blood over his face as he looked at Denis with a straight face, "Who was that just now?"

Denis did not even look at him as he said, "The boss!"

The blooded man frowned upon hearing that, "Is something wrong around him as well?"

The seven of them were part of Martin's core security group. Their main job was to guard Martin and follow his orders.

However, due to the fact that Martin was lowkey and only a handful of people knew of his real wealth, there was usually no danger around him, hence, he ordered the securities to just relax a little.

If something was also wrong on his end, he and his six other team members would need to go there and help him.

Denis shook his head, indicating that he doesn't know. "He just said to meet him and the others at the cargo site before he hung up the phone."

The blooded man nodded his head.

"We should go there then. There's no use staying here anyways, we'll just get surrounded by them. Also, we need to have better weapons than this. Too bad our guns were left in the boss's building!" He continued.

Earlier, they just decided to visit their old friend Denis on a whim to catch up, so they left their equipment behind. They did not expect that they would actually get into a fight the moment they arrived at Denis' place.

Looking around everyone's messy appearance, a smile suddenly appeared on the blooded man's face, making him look hideous.

"Have you gone nuts? Why are you laughing all of a sudden?" One of them suddenly said after seeing his strange reaction.

The blooded man shook his head and said, "Nothing. I just find this scene very nostalgic. Do you guys remember when we were just teens? Roaming around the city to defend our little gang's reputation from other school gangs?"

And as if to reminisce about their past, the grown men actually closed their eyes as they basked with nostalgia.

"This is indeed a bit nostalgic. And out of all of us, only Denis went astray and decided to live a peaceful life. And to think that he was deemed as the most skillful fighter out of all of us, tsk!"

Denis merely smiled, he too found the current situation very nostalgic.

With blood all over their face, the eighth of them doesn't seem to be too concerned with their current predicament at all. It was if blood and gore were already in their life on a daily basis and that nothing would be able to faze them anymore.

"Unlike you guys, I already have a family to feed and a family to return to. I can't just be as reckless as before, and still stay on a dangerous job like yours," Denis said.

"Well, we know your reason. But, are you secretly trying to imply that we just became security personnel because we are still single until now? Are you asking for a beating?"

Following a light laugh to ease their tense expression, Denis just shook his head and said, "Alright, let's stop with the nonsense and meet with the boss."
