Chapter 48: Would You Like to Learn How to Stay Fit Through Swimming?

“It looks like a weapon.”

With curiosity, Qin Guan bent down to observe the item. He found out that it was indeed a sword handle. It was black all over, and the end—which was near the floor—was a huge crossguard.

Based on the length, he could tell that this was most probably a two-handed sword.

“Has the system finally decided to be kind and give me a weapon?!

“Urk… fruit knife, my buddy, don’t misunderstand, I’m not dissing you, I just think… I need different weapons to handle different situations. Yes, that’s right.”

Qin Guan felt extremely excited. He took hold of the sword handle with both hands and pulled!

And pulled!

And pulled even harder!

‘Alright, it didn’t even budge an inch.’

Qin Guan tried a few times, but there was no reaction.

The useless person’s body did not feel fatigue. Qin Guan could tug at the sword all day, but that would be meaningless.

Since Qin Guan’s control over his body as well as his technique in how he should exert force had reached a very high standard, if he could not pull out the sword right away, it meant that he could truly not pull it out. It meant that he did not have enough STR.

Qin Guan felt a slight pang of pity. He had thought that the Diamond Lottery Ticket had given him a weapon since he lacked an offense that had a slightly longer reach.

But the sword was there, and it would not suddenly grow legs and run away. Once he leveled up more and gained more STR, he would come back and take it.

“Looks like my decision to make STR my main attribute is correct, or else it’ll feel really horrible to not be able to get good weapons when I see them.

“Fiiineee. I won’t say that my trip here has been completely in vain. I’ll go back and continue leveling up so that I can raise my STR.”

Qin Guan explored the hall a little more and came to the conclusion that there was truly nothing else worth investigating.

With a thought, he returned to the world in his mind and found that the Backdoor Key was still in his hands.

‘Welp, at least it’s not a single use item. That’s great…’

With the key, he could enter the hall with altars at any time he wanted.

He looked at the time. It was almost the agreed hour when he should meet with the manager of the club. After all, he still had to worry about next month’s rent.

Whether or not they could receive enough money would decide whether Qin Guan and Su Xiaoyu could continue living in their house.

Qin Guan tried to tell how hot it was outside through the window and made a firm decision to get a ride.

Of course, he could also switch to the useless person’s body and head out. Its tolerance toward heat was very good, and it would not get tired. Even if he ran there, he would have no problems.

However, once he thought about how hot it was outside and imagined himself running on the road barefoot while he dressed in torn shorts, he decided that he would rather skip out on feeling this mix of distress and joy.

Even if everyone knew that he was a Transcended Gamer and used a useless person, they would most likely sigh and say, “So, even retards can become Transcended Gamers, huh?”

Once he got into the car, Qin Guan told the driver his destination and closed his eyes while leaning against the backseat. He immersed himself in the world in his mind and began cutting fruits.

It had to be said that the trials were divine tools for killing time. It was similar to playing with a phone when he had nothing to do while sitting in a car, just this time, it was actually meaningful.

After some time, Qin Guan opened his eyes. “Why aren’t we there yet?”

Qin Guan did not live too far away from Chenxing Esports Club. There was no reason why he should have been unable to reach it despite such a long time having passed.

The driver pointed up ahead with a troubled look. “There’s still about a few hundred meters, but look at the traffic.”

Qin Guan looked, and he found that what the driver said was indeed true. The traffic was so heavy that the cars blocked off the entrance to the club.

The driver could do nothing about the situation. He explained to Qin Guan. “There has been a lot of Transcended Gamers coming here recently, so this club is constantly crowded. I’m puzzled too. Why did they put up a law that the other organizations are not allowed to recruit Transcended Gamers, but these clubs can ? I don’t understand the logic behind this.

“And the most frustrating thing is that when I drive over here in an attempt to get to work, there are often some Transcended Gamers heading to the club by stepping on the roofs of the other cars because they don’t want to get caught in the traffic. But you can’t scold them either, because you never know whether they’ll come and take revenge on you

“Don’t you think these brats lack morals? My car might not be expensive, but don’t step on it just because you feel like it…”

‘How did you know I was just thinking about going over by stepping on the roofs of the cars?’ Qin Guan wondered.

He truly had this thought, since the movies always had this sort of scene, no? Instead of inching forward like a turtle through the gaps between the cars, it would be better for him to run on the roofs and save time.

But when Qin Guan thought about it, the driver also made sense. It would be immoral for him to step on another person’s car.

Qin Guan paid the fare with his phone. “I’ve paid the carfare, so I’m getting off. Have a safe journey!”

He pushed open the door and got out. He immediately sensed the heat crashing into his face in waves and quickly switched to the useless person’s body.

The driver cursed. “Darn it.”

Just when he finished complaining about Transcended Gamers stepping on the roof of his car, he was going to have his car stepped on…

But why would a Transcended Gamer grab a ride?

The driver quickly wind down his car window and shouted at Qin Guan, “Don’t step on my car! Ah, do you see that Porsche over there? Do you see that Maserati as well? Step on those, the cushioning effect on them is great!”

Qin Guan laughed. The driver had quite a good sense of humor.

Why was there a need for him to hate the rich? Those people might drive a Porsche and a Maserati while the driver could only drive a taxi to earn a living, but when they were all caught in a traffic, all of them could not move. They were all caught in the same situation…

They were all stuck there, and no one could leave. This made things very equal…

Qin Guan grinned at the driver and jumped up on the guardrail by the road. He then ran towards the club.

The driver was shocked. ‘They can do this as well?’

The Transcended Gamers he had seen all stepped on the roofs to draw attention to themselves. Some would even slip and step on the side mirrors, bending them…

But the boy he had brought ran to the club on the guardrail! And he was even running quite quickly!

‘Boy, you’re epic!’

The drivers who was stuck in the traffic was originally frustrated, but now, there was someone putting up a show for him!

Qin Guan was running on the guardrail when he saw that the drivers on both sides of the road were staring at him. They watched him leave through their car windows.

“Why is there someone clapping their hands and cheering? Do they really think I’m putting up a show or something?”

Qin Guan felt speechless. If he did this next time, he should bring a bowl so he could make full use of his shabby clothes and his professional acrobatics…

When he finally reached the club, Qin Guan leapt over two private sedans and moved from the middle of the road to the roadside.

When he raised his head, he saw the door to Chenxing Esports Club.

Qin Guan was just about to switch back to his real body and walk inside when a flyer appeared in his line of sight.

“Learn how to stay fit through swimming—I mean, do you want to gain more understanding towards Chenxing Esports Club?”

Qin Guan looked over and saw that the person who had handed him the flyer was a fifty- to sixty-year-old man.

His appearance and mannerisms made him look like an elderly, person, but his face and figure both seemed young. He also stood straight and did not have a hunched back.
