Chapter 29: You Said You Didn’t Do Martial Arts?!
When all the people in the amphitheater heard that sentence, they understood their situation.
There were indeed some students whose heads had become swollen with pride. They had imagined themselves to become superheroes in the future and be idolized by millions.

Low whispers rose in the classroom.
Qin Guan had predicted this situation, but it was slightly different from what he had imagined.
A department as unique as the Parapsychology Association was not part of his calculations. Because of it, the government had to create a new organization to manage the Transcended Gamers, and there would definitely be a lot of loopholes in it.
For example, where would they get new members for this new organization? Who was going to be in charge? What sorts of tasks would this organization be in charge of? How would they intimidate and control the Transcended Gamers who had unique abilities and were arrogant?
These were all very troublesome questions. Before they were completely solved, the government’s control over Transcended Gamers would be rather weak and lax.
However, since they already had an organization like the Parapsychology Association, everything was different.
The Parapsychology Association had a fully integrated management system, unique tasks they were responsible for, and its members were all powerful Transcended Gamers. This meant that the supervision of the Transcended Gamers in the country would be very strict from the beginning.
This was just like the education system. Once it was full integrated, most of the students only had one path they could take. Even if there were a few exceptions, their effect on the overall education system was insignificant.
And based on what Du Wei said, the Parapsychology Association would try their best not to let Transcended Gamers affect reality and the lives of the normal people. They wanted to prevent all possibilities of conflict in society.
Qin Guan suddenly realized that the Parapsychology Association should have a lot of power in the country. In fact, they could even manipulate the policies related to the Transcenders.
From the moment the discs and trials appeared, there were different voices in the country regarding them and Transcended Gamers. The debate was still ongoing.
Based on what Qin Guan saw, the voices from the Parapsychology Association had clearly gained the upper hand in the debate and had even set the tone for the Transcended Gamers’ future: they were to either be supervised, or become normal people; they could not choose to be both.

He was not the only one troubled by it. Most of the people in the amphitheater should have been faced with the same dilemma.
Du Wei coughed and said calmly, “I mentioned just now that you should not be in a hurry to make the choice. You can think about it slowly and carefully. But after you heard everything, you should understand that regardless of whether you join the Parapsychology Association or not, you will be under the supervision of the Parapsychology Association as long as you are in the country. Do not think about doing anything unlawful or immoral just because you obtained great power.
“Lastly, we will divide you into different classes one more time. You will be divided into the official class and reserve class.”
While Du Wei provided the explanation, he sighed in relief in his heart. ‘I finally managed to finish the speech. It’s really difficult being a teacher…’

“As for how you will be divided? Right now, if you want to join the official class, the criteria for it is that you must be someone who has cleared the second trial in Medium Mode. Those who have done so, come and register your names with me.
“Let’s start from you. Student, what is your name?”
Du Wei looked at Qin Guan rather hopefully.
“Er…” Qin Guan hesitated for a while. “I, uh… haven’t actually cleared the second trial in Medium Mode…”
Du Wei looked at him askance. “Are you kidding me?”
Qin Guan looked at him speechlessly.
Du Wei swore at him in his heart. ‘Are the youngsters nowadays so dishonest now? I’m not trying to harm you by asking you to join the official class, so why are you lying to me?
‘And if you want to lie, could you at least make a lie that is of some standard? Could you put more heart into it?
‘I was beaten until I was dumbfounded just now by your attacks, and you’re telling me that you haven’t cleared the second trial with those beautiful moves of yours and crazy reaction time?
‘Who do you think you’re fooling, an idiot?!’
Du Wei was not swayed. “What’s your name?! And stop talking nonsense!”
Once Qin Guan put down his name, Du Wei went to register the other students who fulfilled the conditions.
What surprised Qin Guan was that once the official class and reserve class were divided, he found that there was, once again, an incredibly huge gap between those who had cleared the second trial in Medium Mode and those who did not.
Among the four hundred or so students, only around sixty had cleared the second trial and made it into the official class.
Qin Guan noticed that each trial was like a huge funnel. It would filter away most people.
‘What happens if there is a third trial in the future? There may only be around ten who’d clear it among from the sixty or so students…’
Du Wei sorted out his records. “Alright. Everyone, you may go back now. Wait for my news. I will contact you. Those who have joined the official class, do not let your guard down, because there are very limited amount of slots in the official class, and you may get replaced at any moment.
“The others, once you go back, work hard and try to clear the trial. Clear a higher difficulty or increase your completion rate, both of them will be good for you in the future.
“Lastly, I must stress once more that you have signed the non-disclosure agreement. If you divulge this secret, you will be responsible for your own actions. Alright, dismissed.”
Once Du Wei finished speaking, he left with the people standing guard at the door. They gathered with the other members from the Parapsychology Association that had taught the other classes and left the lecture block.
Once they left, the class immediately burst into an uproar. The students were originally rather reserved, but once the people from the Parapsychology Association left, they finally said the words they had been keeping in their hearts.
Besides, they could only talk to each other about this, since once they went back to their dorms and faculties, they had to keep this matter a secret and honor the non-disclosure agreement. They could not speak about this to the other students nor even their counsellors.
Qin Guan stood up. He was just about to leave when Xiao Qiang grabbed his arm.
