Chapter 590 - How Gullible You Can Be? (2)

Song Huifen, who was seated at a safe corner with her grandson, ran her fingers affectionately over Xiao Bao's thick mane. The boy sat on her l.a.p and was busy narrating the life he and Little Star had back in New York, before returning to the country with their mother.

She was hung on his words as if she couldn't get enough of them and asked him follow up questions that made the little boy extra eager to tell more about his 'misadventures' with his twin sister.

Ah, there was no doubt that he and Little Star were her son's children, judging by the way the two acted mischievously behind their mother. She could only imagine Tang Moyu's frustration whenever she came home from work, only to learn of her children's misdeeds of the day.

Song Huifen smiled at his grandson and looked around, hoping to see her other grandchild in the crowd. Tianyi said that Little Star would be with Li Meili tonight, but she only got a glimpse of their little princess once earlier.

Now that the cat was out of the bag and everyone knew about the twins' existence, there was no need to hide them in public. Tang Moyu didn't need to always be on guard when people talk about her children any longer.

The empress dowager had to admit though, her son went overboard this time with his announcement, albeit she had to admit that she enjoyed seeing everyone's shocked expression when her son revealed about his marriage with the empress.

After all the insults and humiliation that her daughter-in-law suffered in the past, it was nice to see that she was the one giving them a hard slap on their faces right now. Too bad that the Tang family wasn't here to witness such a scene.

There was no doubt that they would be vomiting blood once they knew that the kin they had abandoned and forsaken in the past was able to survive and even managed to fly on their own without them.

"Baobao, would you like to accompany me for a short walk? I think I need to move a little now." She told her grandson.

Xiao Bao nodded his head and slid down her l.a.p before offering his hand to his grandmother.

"Mommy Fen, you need to hold my hand, okay? Don't get lost, please." He told Song Huifen with a cuteness that made the older woman fawn over him. What kind of luck did she have to be able to have such grandchildren who never failed to amuse her to no end?

She should be the one who needed to remind him not to let go of her hand and not the other way around.

"Oh my. Our Baobao is such a kind gentleman. Mommy Fen promises not to let your hand go." Song Huifen gave her grandson a kiss on his chubby cheeks before raising to her feet. She took her grandson's hand in hers and walked around, intending to meet and talk with the other guests.

"Lady Song, it's nice to see you in good health. I knew those rumors were unfounded." One of the guests whom she and Xiao Bao ran into greeted her. He then turned to look at the little man escorting the empress dowager.

"Oh, is this the rumored young master? He took after his father, I see. Hello, Little One. Nice to meet you." The old man extended a hand towards Xiao Bao and wondered how the little boy would react. Would he cower in fear and hide behind his grandmother, or did he inherit his parents ability to win people's favor?

Xiao Bao put on his best act, copying his father's posture and tone like the one he saw earlier. He knew that he shouldn't embarrass his parents and his Mommy Fen.

"Hello, Good Sir. I'm Tang Feiyu. Nice to meet you too. I hope you are enjoying the night." He accepted the old man's hand and gave it a firm shake with her smaller hand.

Song Huifen couldn't suppress the smile that bloomed on her face, seeing her grandson try his best to act like a little man in front of them. How can people not love her grandbabies when they were as cute as this?

It was a pity that the twins had to wait before she could announce them as her successors. It was for their own safety anyway. After all, the Qing Tian Group was a massive business empire. Many might deem them as a target once they find out that the twins were the next in line to inherit the company.

It also didn't help that she hadn't completely gotten rid of her brothers, who weren't satisfied with not having any hand on the company and its vast fortune.

The old man laughed at Xiao Bao's eagerness and smiled as he looked at the boy. This little boy might have gotten his charming looks from his father, but there was no doubt that the glint in his obsidian eyes came from his mother, the empress.

"Lady Song must be proud to have such a sensible and smart child as your grandson." The old man told Song Huifen.

The empress dowager glanced at her grandson and nodded at the guest.

"Why, of course. They are family after all. You must see the twin sister. She takes after her mother." Song Huifen held Xiao Bao's hand and smiled at him. "Please enjoy the night, Sir. My grandson and I need to go now."

"Of course, of course. Don't let me keep you here." The old man laughed and gave way to the two.

Wang Ruoxi felt uncomfortable in Song Huifen's presence. She didn't dare to speak first and chose to avoid the empress dowager's domineering gaze.

"Madam Feng, what a surprise to see you here."
