"That's to be expected." Tang Moyu nodded. "Tianyi then should triple the amount of Zion Inc. shares. That should be enough to stir discord within their management." The glint in her eyes made Song Huifen laugh at her devious scheme.
Oh, her son had chosen the right woman, alright. Song Huifen hadn't anticipated that Tang Moyu would be able to spell out and soon make her intention to acquire Zion Inc. possible.
With Zion Inc.'s limited resources, they would be forced to liquidate some, or maybe most, of their properties if they want to compete with Qing Tian Group, but how long would they be able to keep it up? Eventually, it would cause a discord in their management and some might even jump from the sinking ship to save themselves.
Song Huifen had to admit that Tang Moyu's way was perfect in this scenario. Tianyi would be able to establish his reputation, not giving everyone the ability to doubt him, and would also cause internal conflicts in those companies who dared to oppose Qing Tian Group.
They were only seeking death if they persisted in opposing Feng Tianyi, but this would be a perfect opportunity to acquire Zion Inc., giving Qing Tian Group a chance to raise its assets. If they continue to raise the stake, the higher Zion Inc. would fall on its own.
"I see. So it's as simple as that." Feng Tianyi realized that he was worrying for nothing. It was a good thing that he'd discussed this with his mother and Tang Moyu. If anything, this gave him a better perspective on how he should look at Qing Tian Group's situation.
His worries were forgotten, now that he heard his wife's reassuring words. If anything, Zion Inc. and the other companies should be the one worrying about themselves and not him.
Feng Tianyi excused himself to make a phone call to arrange their counterattack at once.
Song Huifen stared at her son's back, then shifted to Tang Moyu who was looking at her children with a smile. These two, they should be fine as long as they had each other's back, So she didn't think she needed to worry about them.
"I heard from Tianyi that you want Xiao Xing to become part of Qing Tian Group. Are you sure about this, Moyu?" Song Huifen took the chance to discuss this matter with her daughter-in-law.
"It's just a possibility, Mom. Although I own the majority of the shares at Xiao Xing, Tianyi still has a say in it. What do you think, Mom?" It was Tang Moyu's turn to seek the empress dowager's opinion.
"No, I think Xiao Xing has to stand on its own for now. Moyu, you understand that after you left Tang Enterprise, people are still interested in what you are up to. You shouldn't give them an opportunity to doubt you and use Xiao Xing as your own sword."
Tang Moyu nodded. She understood what the older woman was trying to say. Since Qing Tian Group was also facing a problem on its own, this wasn't the perfect time for Xiao Xing to get absorbed by the company.
"Xiao Xing's inauguration ceremony will be in two weeks, Mom. Would you be able to attend? Tianyi and I would appreciate it if you would be there." The empress inquired.
"Ah, yes, of course. How can I waste the chance to see everyone's reaction after seeing that I'm perfectly fine and not dying on my deathbed." Song Huifen chuckled.
The rumors about her health were so ridiculous. The only reason she was at home right now was because of Tianyi and Moyu's insistence that she should take a break from working.
"But I have to warn you, Mother. You might meet someone that you don't want to see." Tang Moyu reminded the older woman.
After all, she and the Xiao Xing's management team had invited most of the popular jewelers, celebrities and personalities within the country. It also meant that the Feng family would be there out of courtesy.
Anyway, it wasn't her idea to invite the Fengs to the occasion, it was Feng Tianyi's. She was thinking that her husband wanted to use the event as a way to give his father's other family a slap in the face. Not that she minded anyway.
"Oh?" That took Song Huifen's attention. So there's a chance that she would meet that harlot and her ex-husband's bastard?
"Hn? I don't mind, Moyu." She said with an amused smile. "I'm so bored here lately. I don't mind watching a good show anytime soon, but I do have a request if you don't mind."
She was curious if Wang Ruoxi was still the same person as she was before. She only met the woman once in an event several years ago, but she didn't find anything spectacular about the woman except for her peerless beauty.
It was a good thing that her son, Tianyi, was able to find a woman who had a good head over her shoulder. Although Song Huifen had to admit that Tang Moyu's cold beauty didn't fall behind Xing Yiyue's face.
Tang Moyu was satisfied with her mother-in-law's answer. She thought Song Huifen would abhor in the idea that she would be in the same place as Wang Ruoxi.
"Then what is that you need, Mom?" She inquired.
"I just want my Xiao Bao to escort me during the event." Song Huifen's smile made the empress think that the empress dowager had a plan in her mind.
"Ah, well then. I don't think Baobao would mind accompanying you, Mom." Tang Moyu nodded. She wasn't planning to take her children to the event, but how could she deny her mother-in-law's request?
