Chapter 543 - The Best Clown in Town (1)

Just as he thought he could finally be reunited with his father and Tang Moyu, Zhang Jiren was once again rendered speechless by what fate decided to drop at his feet.

His twin sister, who was pregnant, left the country again with Li Meili's help, saving her from further humiliation that Feng Tianhua and the traitorous Tang family inflicted on her.

Just as he expected, once Tang Lixue heard the news about the misfortune that befell on his precious little empress, the man had turned hysterical on his hospital bed, throwing everything his hand could reach, cursing his wife as well as his ungrateful father to the heavens for the horrible treatment on his Little Moyu.

If he hadn't been gravely sick, bound to this hospital bed due to his cancer that metastasized, causing him unbearable pain, he would surely give a piece of his mind to the traitorous family that not only torn his own family apart, but also forsaken one of their kin by favoring the Feng family.

Feng Tianhua? Just who did he think he was? If it wasn't for his Little Moyu, the Feng Conglomerate wouldn't have reached the glory they were enjoying today!

Those who knew the Feng brothers were aware of how incompetent Feng Tianhua could be as compared to his elder brother. Even Tang Lixue was confused as to why Feng Tianhua succeeded Feng Conglomerates when everyone expected that his elder brother was the one who would take the lead after their father's passing.

"Calm down, Dad. I know you are mad. I am too, but this wouldn't help you at all." Zhang Jiren was also trying to reign his anger towards Feng Tianhua, but his father's health was more important than that bastard.

With the cancer cell already metastasized in Tang Lixue's body, it caused him tremendous pain. Zhang Jiren had tried to convince him to get the chemotherapy, but the old man refused to prolong his suffering any longer.

"If I am going to die, I'm going to die." Tang Lixue told him. He knew that even if he took treatments and chemotherapy, it was already too late to save his life, as he was diagnosed too late.

He would rather face his death sooner than to prolong his suffering. The only regret Tang Lixue had right now was not being able to protect his beloved daughter.

It took half an hour before Tang Lixue finally calmed down and the nurse came to re-insert the IV needles in his hand, the one that he pulled out of rage earlier. Once the nurse left, Zhang Jiren sat beside his father's bed and lowered his head.

He was still weak. Even if he had arrived earlier, he knew that he wouldn't be able to protect his twin sister from everyone. He was still lacking, not only in money, but in status and influence. Perhaps it was time for him to devour the Zhang family from the inside.

"Dad, Sister Moyu has just left for New York with Li Meili." He informed his father.

Tang Lixue shut his eyes, but tears rolled down his face. He continued to shed tears for his daughter. It must have been hard for his Little Moyu to face everything on her own.

"My Little Moyu… they wronged my little Moyu…" He wept silently, which broke Zhang Jiren's heart even more.

Just how much misfortune did he have to endure? How many drops of tears did his twin sister have to shed for them to have the happy and contented life which both of them deserved? Why was it that everytime he could almost grasp happiness in his hand, fate decided to f.u.c.k them up for the umpteenth time?

Wasn't it enough that the two of them grew up apart from each other? That they lost their birth mother at a very young age and struggled during their childhood through their teenage years? Zhang Jiren was hoping to introduce himself to his twin sister this time, but the sudden turn of events had chased her out of the country. Her reputation ended up ruined by her ex-fiancé.

He and Tang Moyu didn't deserve any of these. No child should be f.o.r.c.i.b.l.y taken away from their parents, especially at a young age. Whatever issues the a.d.u.l.ts had around them, they shouldn't be the ones who should bear the consequences of their parents' actions. If anything, they should be protected and loved.

"Don't worry, Dad. I'll work hard and be sure to teach Feng Tianhua a lesson. He shouldn't have treated Sister Moyu like that. He should have dissolved his engagement with sister if he truly didn't want to be with her."

Well, f.u.c.k arranged marriages. Though it would work for some, Zhang Jiren despised the idea of it. Children shouldn't be used as a bargaining chip to secure their parents' future. They shouldn't be treated as if they were an investment, as they had never asked to be born in the first place.

In fact, it should be the other way around. Parents should be the ones who should work hard to give their children a brighter future. Arranged marriage ruined his father's life, along with theirs as his children. It also ruined Tang Moyu's life.

"Be careful, Lingjun. I don't want you to get hurt like Moyu." Tang Lixue said in discomfort and hissed in pain. The medicine injected in him started to work, calming his nerves down, leaving him feeling lethargic.

"I know, Dad. I know." Zhang Jiren lowered his eyes, hiding his murderous intent from his father. He might not be able to cripple the Feng Conglomerate, who shamelessly used his twin sister, but it didn't mean he wouldn't be able to inflict physical harm on Feng Tianhua.

He was itching to beat the man into a pulp for daring to hurt his sister. His fists were singing for blood, Feng Tianhua's blood.

Just the mere thought of Feng Tianhua trying to strangle Tang Moyu, slapping his sister, only to be saved yet again by Li Meili, were enough to make Zhang Jiren's blood boil in anger.
