Three days later, the Tang family was thrown into a deep turmoil.Tang Moyu was now the biggest shareholder of Tang Enterprise, however instead of keeping her post in the said company, the empress had made a ruckus not only for the whole Tang family, but the whole business community as well by selling out her 42 percent.
Her name filled the headlines along with the fact that the whole executive managerial team of the Tang Enterprise would be leaving with her. This was a huge blow to the company. It caused other shareholders and investors to panic when the news reached their ears, except for those who had closely kept in contact with the empress, like Xu Wenyang.
In her own family, Tang Moyu was an outsider. This was why it was easy for her to cut her ties from the family that betrayed her and continued to plot against her. Today, she really cornered the whole family as the market shares plummeted the moment she announced her resignation as its CEO.
CEO Tang had no other things to attend to today except for officially announcing her resignation, alongside Lu Tianxin and Gu Yuyao. Everyone in the company was shocked as they thought that the empress would fight tooth and nail against the Tang family. However, they couldn't really blame her as she was the one who made it possible for Tang Enterprise to continue to exist until now.
When Tang Moyu's car arrived at the Tang Enterprise, she wasn't surprised at all when she saw journalists waiting outside the building. She didn't know how, but some of them had managed to recognize her car and blocked her way.
It was impossible for her to continue driving. Everyone seemed to be in a rush to get a scoop about her. One cameraman even went as far pressing his camera against her window to get a shot. Tang Moyu frowned and made a call to the security of the company. This was her last day at work and she wasn't planning to waste her time, answering the media's questions.
The security guards rushed out to maintain the order, pushing everyone aside to let Tang Moyu drive into the parking space below the building to take the private elevator. But it was impossible to avoid everyone, as some of them rushed to her the moment she stepped out of her car.
"Miss Tang, why are you leaving Tang Enterprise all of a sudden?"
"CEO Tang, you just announced that you own the majority of the shares in the company three days ago, but you suddenly sold them off to the Jiang family. Is this because you were expelled from the Tang family?"
"The whole managerial team is resigning alongside you. Is this your way of showing everyone that you have the employees' support?"
"Now that you've left Tang Enterprise, what's the next step for you, Miss Tang? Are you and President Yun considering marriage anytime soon?"
She then sent a quick message to Gu Yuyao and Lu Tianxin to inform them of her arrival. Tang Moyu was glad that she wasn't alone dealing with all the ruckus today. Since she had made up her mind, as promised, the two women would be resigning from their posts too.
When she arrived at the top floor, she was surprised to see people crowding there, but this time it was the department heads and managers of the Tang Enterprise. They were pacing back and forth as they waited for her arrival.
"Miss Tang!" They hurriedly went to her once she stepped out of the elevator.
"CEO Tang, we're here to also file our resignations! We will leave with you!"
Tang Moyu was shocked to hear that. She wasn't expecting that they would do such a drastic thing that could hurt their careers. As her eyes swept around them, she realized that these were the best talents she had procured since she joined Tang Enterprise.
They had great potential and talent that would be put to waste if they didn't receive the recognition or be given challenges that could nurture them. Something they could never have if they continue to stay at Tang Enterprise.
"This… you all know you don't have to do this." She told them. Tang Moyu didn't want them to suffer just because she was having difficulties with her family.
Tang Moyu had not expected to gain this kind of support and loyalty from her team. When she decided to leave the company, it was for her own personal gain. She had considered the employees of the company, but what must be done had to be done and she knew she cannot stay any longer.
"It's our own decision, Miss Tang." One of them answered her, "Who wants to stay on a sinking boat? We have no future waiting for us in Tang Enterprise without you, CEO Tang. But if you don't mind giving us some recommendations, we would be grateful."
Meanwhile, Zhang Wuying was seething in anger as she threw everything her hand could reach in her own room. Several vases were shattered on the floor while her eyes rimmed red from the anger.
She was expecting Tang Moyu to bitterly lose her position by gaining the support of Feng Tianhua when he joined the board, but who would have thought that her wretched daughter would eventually receive her husband's shares that were vetted for her?
