Feng Tianyi tilted his head once he heard footsteps approaching him. His lips curled into a slight smile when he realized it had been the same woman who'd been occupying his thoughts and dreams for the past few days since he left Shenzhen.
It also didn't help that the rumors about her and Yun Zhen had started to circulate around again, ruining his mood. It hadn't been easy for him to leave Tang Moyu and their little buns for a business trip because he couldn't help but feel homesick.
And now that those ridiculous rumors had reached his ears, how can he idly stay still, knowing that another man wanted to take his woman away from him?
Tang Moyu walked slowly towards him. She adjusted her coat and shivered due to the coldness of the night.
When she was in front of him, Feng Tianyi drew her into an embrace, taking a deep breath, sniffing her familiar scent that calmed his nerves.
"I miss you too, Baby!" He kissed her crown and smiled to himself.
Having her next to him surely improved his mood that had been soured for the whole time she wasn't with him.
Tang Moyu pulled away, and lifted her face to look at his face. It seemed like she wasn't the only one working hard these days.
"You should have told me you're coming back today. We could have brought back the twins with us." She told him. No doubt, their twins would be ecstatic to know that he was back.
"Can't we do that tomorrow? I want to have you all to myself tonight." He grinned at her.
The empress narrowed her eyes on him with suspicion, but didn't comment in return. Instead, she looked around and noticed that he was standing in an empty parking slot.
"So how did you come here?" If Song Fengyan didn't come with him, how was the devil able to arrive at Tang Enterprise at such short notice? Since his rehabilitation therapy wasn't completed yet, Feng Tianyi wasn't allowed to drive on his own.
"Ah, I called someone to drop me here and he wasn't quite happy about it." Feng Tianyi laughed, earning a chuckle from the empress as she managed to figure out who it could possibly be.
"I'm sure he's upset. You probably took away his precious time with his wife." She shook her head before taking her car keys while twining her fingers with his as she dragged him to follow her to her car. She didn't walk too fast so he could walk at his normal pace with her.
Feng Tianyi looked at their entwined hands and couldn't help but grin to himself. This woman was his no matter what other people think. The way she smiled at him, her eyes glinting as she looked at him, how can they say that she wasn't his when her actions were enough to let them know that this empress was the devil's woman?
Tang Moyu unlocked the car and released his hand to allow him to go to the other side and take her passenger seat. As she ignited the engine of her car, ready to drive and go home, Feng Tianyi held her wrist once he was buckled up in his seat.
"Wait, Moyu. We are going somewhere else. We aren't going home tonight." He informed her with a feral grin that she rarely saw on him.
"What? But where are we going at this time of the night? I thought you'd rather go home?" She furrowed her brows in confusion, her hands were already on the steering wheel, ready to leave.
Feng Tianyi released her hand and pulled a card inside his coat, giving it to her.
"Go and drive to this address."
Tang Moyu arched a brow when she read the name of the hotel on the card. Of course, she knew that place. She had been an occasional guest at that hotel when she was still working for Feng Conglomerate.
"I still owe you a date, right? I intend to give you one tonight." Feng Tianyi said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Are you sure you aren't tired? We can postpone it to some other time if you want." She replied.
"No, that won't do. I already made the reservation before I came back here."Feng Tianyi was eager to leave now as they couldn't waste time here any longer. Hadn't he waited for a long time for this to happen?
With Tang Moyu's busy schedule and the twins always around, how can Feng Tianyi take her out without dealing with those little buns first?
There's no way he would be able to cancel the reservation last minute. It wasn't easy for him to convince Li Yuanyi to reserve the whole restaurant he owned at that five-star hotel. The man was still holding a grudge against him over Meng Yanran's case for charging him over a million bucks for her stay.
If he didn't owe Feng Tianyi a favor, Li Yuanyi would surely not agree to this last-minute reservation. Anyway, he only reserved the place for tonight and it should be more than enough for him and Tang Moyu to enjoy their night together.
"Or we can just go home and you can cook as usual." She suggested, but to no avail as the devil denied it at once.
"What? No way! As much as I love cooking for the three of you, this date with you should be special. Everything is prepared ahead, Moyu. We are the only ones who will being waited there."
Tang Moyu only raised a brow at him and decided not to argue anymore. He was just like her children. When they were set on something they wanted to do, there was no turning back. Any attempt on changing their mind would be pointless.
Of all the traits they could inherit from their father, why did it have to be Feng Tianyi's stubbornness?
