25 Your Uncle Yan Is a Conman 3

He shook this thought away from his mind. What the hell was he thinking?

"Okay," Tang Moyu agreed easily to his invitation, which baffled him. Did she really trust him this much to let him look after her children and cook dishes for her to eat?

He was only asking out of courtesy but she easily agreed without any hesitation. He felt a little ashamed, but couldn't take back his words.

The twin settled next to their mother and started to eat heartily. Tang Moyu complimented him for the delicious meals he and Auntie Lu made tonight, while Song Fengyan watched him and the empress with amusement in his eyes.

Tang Moyu didn't eat that much, not that Feng Tianyi cared. She didn't touch the vegetables Auntie Lu prepared earlier, but at least she was attentive to both her children. Soon after, the pax of six at the table managed to clear all the dishes.

By the time the dinner was over, he started to feel uncomfortable; knowing that the little buns and Tang Moyu were about to leave. Suddenly, lightning flashed across the sky, followed by a loud thunder that brought Little Star to tears.

It was only then Feng Tianyi and Song Fengyan realized that the little girl was extremely afraid of lightning and thunder.

Tang Moyu looked outside the window near the kitchen with a troubled expression. The rain started to pour heavily in Shenzhen. Feng Tianyi and Song Fengyan looked at her.

"I don't think it's a good time to drive back home in this weather." Song Fengyan commented before giving his cousin a knowing look. He wasn't sure how Tianyi ended up knowing Tang Moyu, but he would have his answers later.

"Maybe you should just stay over tonight too," Feng Tianyi added.

As soon as he said those words, Song Fengyan's head turned to him in a flash.

What?! Too?! Did he mean that this wasn't the first time Tang Moyu and the little buns spent the night with him? What was Tianyi up to?

Feng Tianyi could feel his cousin glaring daggers at him but pretended not to notice. He suddenly felt like he was digging his own grave at the moment. Not only did he allow the Tang family to stay overnight at his place but he also cooked meals for them, which he had never done for anyone, not even his own mother.

"Okay." Tang Moyu replied. She really didn't have much choice as she wouldn't place her children's lives in danger by driving through this bad weather. Thankfully, Auntie Lu had brought the twins' backpack filled with their extra clothes and essentials.

While Auntie Lu helped the children to take their bath before bedtime, Tang Moyu was left alone with Feng Tianyi and Song Fengyan in the living area. She was on the phone, sending instructions to Cheng Ning for her schedule tomorrow.

"Since when did you get acquainted with Tang Moyu?" Song Fengyan asked his cousin discreetly. He was still in disbelief to meet the woman face to face, they even had a meal together!

Within the business circle in Shenzhen, Tang Moyu's name was no stranger. Regardless of her relationship with Feng Tianhua, her skills and capabilities as a ruthless business strategist were highly recognized by everyone.

"I've only met her yesterday. I didn't know she's the mother of those twins. I didn't even expect to meet her like this." Feng Tianyi said in defense. It wasn't like he planned all of this when he came back to Shenzhen.

"So why is she calling you Mr. Qin?"

Didn't Tang Moyu recognize the only brother-in-law she'd have if she'd married Feng Tianyi's half brother, Feng Tianhua?

"She only knows me as Qin Jiran, not the elder brother of her ex-fiance." Feng Tianyi responded.

Song Fengyan remained silent for a moment as he thought of the gravity of these circumstances and how it would affect his aunt's plans to destroy Feng Tianhua.

"It's impossible for Tianhua not to know that she's back. I'm sure he would give her a hard time." He said knowingly.

'This only means her children wouldn't be spared' was what he meant and Feng Tianyi understood it easily. He stared at the fallen empress' back as she busied herself. Tang Moyu was a strong woman, but he didn't think she and the twins deserved to be subjected to any type of mistreatment because of his younger brother. If anything bad happened to her, the little buns would surely be affected by it, directly or indirectly.

For some reason, Feng Tianyi couldn't understand why it left a bad taste in his mouth thinking about it. Was it because he somehow pitied the little buns that he didn't want harm to befall Tang Moyu?

"The weather forecast says that heavy rain will continue throughout the night. I'm so sorry for troubling you again, Mr. Qin." Tang Moyu came back, then eyed Song Fengyan.

Following her gaze, Feng Tianyi understood that she wasn't comfortable seeing another stranger tonight.

"This is Song Fengyan. He's my cousin and the one responsible for helping me around here. Fengyan, this is Miss Tang." He reintroduced them to each other.

"Hello, Miss Tang. Nice to meet you. I'm living next door, so if there isn't anything else, I'll go now." Song Fengyan excused himself before gesturing to Feng Tianyi to explain himself more during their next meeting.

"I'll let Auntie Lu use the guest room if that's alright." Tang Moyu said once Song Fengyan left them alone.

Feng Tianyi looked up to her from his wheelchair and nodded.

"No problem but where are you going to sleep? You can't possibly take the couch this time."

"It's alright. I don't think I can sleep tonight as I still have work to finish."

Feng Tianyi wanted to argue that she was working too hard and must take some time off to rest and spend with her children, but he didn't want to be presumptuous of his guest.
