202 From Uncle to Daddy 2
Yes! They finally managed to convince Mommy to consider Uncle Ji as their new daddy! But what did she mean that they were together? They both wondered.
Did she mean like Auntie Qian and Uncle Number 3, she and Uncle Ji were going to get married and have a baby? Or were they like Auntie Yaoyao and Uncle Number 2 who were still dating and were preparing for their wedding?
"Mommy and Uncle Ji are together? Just like Uncle Number 2 and Auntie Yaoyao?" Little Star pondered out loud, answering her Mommy's question.
"Yes, very good, Little Star. You are really smart like your Mommy!" Feng Tianyi said, tickling the girl under her chin, making her giggle on his lap.
"Does it mean Uncle Ji would become our daddy, Mommy?" It was Xiao Bao's turn to interrogate his mother, his tone serious and unwavering as he pretended to be a grown-up, crossing his chubby arms over his chest. Since he was the little man of the house, it was only appropriate for him to question her for her and his twin sister's sake.
Tang Moyu was taken aback by her son's question. She hadn't even thought that far, but Xiao Bao had already assumed that she and Feng Tianyi were intending to marry?
"That isn't what I mean, darling. Your Uncle Ji and I are still trying to get to know more about each other. Are you afraid that Mommy would forget about you and Little Star?"
Her fingers gently brushed her son's thick mane. She felt that her twins grew too fast these days. She couldn't help but feel a little guilty for missing out on some of their milestones due to her heavy workload.
"Well, Uncle Ji doesn't mind being your daddy. What do you think, Little Star?" Feng Tianyi said, earning a pointed look from the empress sitting across him.
Little Star's face lit up and nodded her head in glee.
"Little Star approves! Little Star wants Uncle Ji to be our daddy!" She exclaimed, her small hands fisting Feng Tianyi's shirt as she looked up at him with stars in her eyes. "Can I call you Daddy Ji from now on, Uncle?"
Tang Moyu suddenly felt dizzy at how fast the turn of events were. This was definitely beyond her expectations. She hadn't expected that her little buns would go as far as to willingly accept Feng Tianyi as their daddy when she had only just admitted her feelings for him.
"Uncle Ji doesn't mind. Do as you please, Little Star." Feng Tianyi said, pinching the girl's chubby cheek gently.
The empress rubbed her temples, not knowing how to deal with this. Since her little buns already had the notion that she would eventually marry their Uncle Ji, she couldn't decide whether she should pop that imaginary bubble and set the things straight with them.
"I don't mind, Mommy." He said in a deadpanned tone that amused both his mother and his Daddy Ji. "As long as Uncle Ji wouldn't make my Mommy cry." His obsidian eyes narrowing towards their Daddy Ji.
Feng Tianyi was amused by how protective the little boy was towards his mother. If he was in Little Feiyu's shoes, he would have done the same thing.
"Baobao, I cannot promise that your Mommy and I won't argue. Arguments are a natural part of a relationship. But I can assure you, I won't intentionally hurt her or any of you." He said in a gentle voice to the little buns. "Right now, if you'll permit Uncle Ji, I want to be with your Mommy and the two of you, always."
"So Daddy Ji promises that you won't leave us like our real daddy?" Little Star asked him straightforwardly.
Tang Moyu winced at that. She didn't know that her children held it against their real father, not that she could blame them. Their father had not been around for any phases of their lives, starting from her pregnancy to their birth to now. In their mind, he might've been a very irresponsible man indeed.
Still, whoever the man was, it was unfair to say he abandoned her little buns. He was not even aware of their existence and probably wouldn't have expected that he fathered them from that fateful one night stand. If he found out, it would be a huge shock to him after all these years.
"But where do you think Uncle Ji will go? I really like your Mommy and I love your company. So why would I leave the three of you?" Feng Tianyi asked the little girl.
"Well, our old classmates said Daddies leave Mommies when they find someone better, or if their Mommies turn ugly. Isn't it true, Uncle Ji?" Little Star asked curiously.
The devil's brows drew together. Just what kind of children were these little buns exposed to for them to hear such horrible things? While it was true that there were several reasons why married couples break up, it never crossed his mind that young children would have their own ideas on it.
He shared a knowing look with the empress before explaining his side to the little buns.
"Do you think there's someone as good or better than your Mommy?" He asked them. The two little buns shook their heads at the same time in response. In their young minds, their Mommy was the prettiest and the smartest. She might not be able to cook a variety of food well but she's definitely good at making money.
"See? I feel the same. I think other women are incomparable to your Mommy. She's simply the best out there, don't you think?" He said with a wide grin before winking at the empress, who was obviously flustered by his words. It seemed that the devil had easily managed to convince her little buns to join his team.
