200 Dear Mother-in-Law 2

99.9999%!

The paternity test came back as positive a week after she presented the samples. The individuals written on the paper were indeed father and son.

Song Huifen had already expected the possibility that her son had fathered the fallen empress's twins, yet as she held the papers that proved Feng Tianyi's blood relation to those little buns, her heart couldn't help but be overwhelmed by this fact. She still had no idea how this was possible, but perhaps she needed to talk to Tang Moyu to find out more about the incident behind the conception of the twins.

When she presented the blood samples she collected from her son and Little Feiyu, she tried not to expect anything as she sent for this paternity test. She was slightly perturbed, but nevertheless, this should prove whether or not her suspicion was right.

Did she want the Tang twins to be her grandchildren?

The thought caught her off guard earlier. However, she knew that whether they were her son's children or not, the two little buns had undeniably won her heart. She was already set on doing the best of her capabilities so that the two little buns would always be happy.

To be honest, Song Huifen couldn't see how Tang Feiyu and Tang Feixiu could be anybody else's child.. Tang Feiyu's facial features were already a giveaway, especially to those who had met her son in his younger years.

Tang Feixiu however, barely had any Feng features on her. She was so much like her mother, from the way she smiles to her mannerisms and her bashfulness. She was definitely a perfect replica of the empress.

Part of Song Huifen was simply overwhelmed with joy that her son had produced such an adorable set of twins. They were simply too irresistible, smart and cheerful, there's no doubt that they could win anyone over with their charm.

The other part of her felt regret that she and Tianyi weren't able to be part of the children's budding life. Indeed, they might be a product of a one-night stand that her son had with the empress and no one would have expected that the fateful night would lead to something as wonderful as this, but Song Huifen truly felt bad for missing her grandchildren's early years.

Her chest expanded as she inhaled deeply, trying to calm herself from her thoughts and this shocking revelation. She leaned her back on her seat and gently traced the results from the hospital, her heart filled with joy knowing the Tang twins were really her grandbabies.

Ah, this was way better than winning multiple bids and striking successful deals lately. This news was certainly one of the best she had received in years.

Her phone rang, pulling her back from her thoughts. Her hand reached out to answer the call.

"Song Huifen speaking." She didn't bother to check who was calling her.

"Mother, Moyu is asking when would be the best time to visit you with the twins." She heard her son's voice through the receiver.

"Hn? No 'how are you' or a proper greeting for your mother?" Song Huifen chuckled as she eyed the paternity test that was still on top of her desk.

"Mother…"

"Fine." She conceded, not like she was expecting her son to treat her warmly anyway. "I'll clear my schedule this coming weekend. No need to bother driving to my place. You still need rest to recover until you are ready to resume your therapy sessions. I'll go there instead."

Song Huifen also wanted to grab the chance to talk to the empress, and maybe she would be able to look at the twins' baby pictures too. She and Tianyi had missed those years, she couldn't wait to see how cute they were and listen to any stories that Tang Moyu would share.

"Alright. I will inform Moyu. Goodbye, Mother. I'll see you soon." Feng Tianyi said before hanging up.

Song Huifen chuckled and hummed to herself. She decided to keep this information to herself first. She wanted to observe her son and Tang Moyu's relationship and confirm how stable it was before she shared this intel.

Staying together because they had a child wouldn't be a good idea. Just look at what happened between her and her ex-husband. This also meant that she would be able to see who would attempt to use the twin's parentage against the empress in the future. Song Huifen could already guess that that person would definitely use this card.

With so many people eyeing the empress since her return, Tang Moyu would definitely be re-subjected to schemes, just like the one that happened five years ago.

Song Huifen's thoughts were forced to halt when she heard a knock on her door before her assistant showed up to remind her of the next appointment she needed to attend today.

Rising to her feet, she took the paternity test result and locked it in one of her drawers before leaving. Her mouth curved into a smile as she thought of how she couldn't wait for the weekend to come for her to see her little buns again. She made a mental note to do a little shopping later for special gifts that her grandbabies might like.
