197 Moyu, I’m Good at Other Aspects Too 1
Pulling her travel luggage with her, she waved a hand at Ye Xiaozu and Lu Tianxin, who decided to send her off to the airport. One might not be able to think that she was one of the heiresses of a wealthy family from Singapore by the way she dressed.
Elaine Wu was used to dressing casually in non designer clothes, giving herself a goofy and carefree look to everyone who sees her.
"I'll be back soon for another visit." Elaine Wu told them. "You better make sure not to make Sister Tianxin cry again or else…" She threatened her ex-fiance.
With the short time she spent here in Shenzhen, meeting Lu Tianxin and Tang Moyu was the best part of it. She finally understood why Ye Xiaozu wasn't willing to open up to any other woman he'd been with. It was because he hadn't truly moved on from Lu Tianxin.
As for the fallen empress of Shenzhen, Gu Yuyao had given her a brief history of Tang Moyu within the business circle of Shenzhen and how she was able to save her family business from the brink of bankruptcy.
That gave Elaine Wu an idea to convince her father to propose a partnership with the empress too. She might have broken her engagement with Ye Xiaozu by coming here to Shenzhen, but if she could convince her father to consider Tang Moyu as one of their partners, perhaps he wouldn't be upset with her sudden decision to split with Ye Xiaozu.
"Are you sure you don't want me to come with you? Shouldn't we explain why we're breaking off the arrangement?" Ye Xiaozu asked her. Now that he was back with Lu Tianxin, he wanted to make sure nothing would be able to hurt her and Luo Luo.
"Ah, it's alright, President Ye. My father is a reasonable man. I'm sure he would understand why we have to part ways. It's for the better." Elaine Wu assured him before giving Lu Tianxin one last hug. "I'll be back before you know it, so please don't forget about me, okay?"
It was rare for her to meet people who would look at her as Elaine, and not some rich heiress that they could take advantage of. She also started to learn how to depend on herself ever since she met Tang Moyu and Lu Tianxin that fateful night.
"Why would we forget you, Miss Elaine. You've been good to us. I hope you'll find your calling soon and will find what you truly want to do in your life." Lu Tianxin replied.
Elaine Wu had confided in her and Gu Yuyao that she was having a hard time accepting her role as an heiress of her family. There were just too many expectations that she could not meet, causing other people to doubt her capabilities.
"So where do you want to go next?" Ye Xiaozu asked his new fiancee, holding her hand as they made their way to the parking lot where they left his car.
"Let's buy some flowers and visit your sister." Lu Tianxin smiled at him. It suddenly felt like it's been a long time since she last visited her Sister Yimei's grave.
Ye Xiaozu hadn't expected that she would want them to visit his sister's grave. Now that he thought about it, he'd only seen his sister's tomb twice since his return.
"Yes, let's visit her." He agreed to Lu Tianxin's request.
When they arrived at the cemetery, the two cleaned up Ye Yimei's tomb before placing the flowers they brought on it.
"I'm sorry if I don't have much time to visit you these days, Sister Yimei. There were just so many things that happened recently and we were caught up in them. But don't worry. Luo Luo and I are okay. We have Xiaozu on our side now." Lu Tianxin talked to Ye Yimei as if she was still able to hear her from the afterlife.
There were so many things Ye Xiaozu found out after his reunion with Lu Tianxin. She'd told him everything that happened from the moment she found out that she could never have a child to Ye Yimei's confession about her pregnancy and why she was kicked out of the Ye family by their father.
But what pissed him off the most was the cowardly man who impregnated his sister and accepted their father's bribery to leave his sister alone. Ye Xiaozu then promised that he would do everything he could so that man wouldn't be able to exploit his relationship with Luo Luo, in case he ever came back to claim his rights as a father for the child's custody.
He'd realized so many errors of his ways in the past and how Lu Tianxin remained faithful not only to him, but to his dear sister as well. If she was any other woman, she would never have agreed to raise another's child and sacrifice her own future for the child's sake.
What a colossal idiot he was for staying angry at her for this long, not knowing the pain she'd suffered over the years. Lu Tianxin had proved to him how wrong he was, that she had never forsaken him willingly.
When he found out about his sister's death, he was beyond devastated. It felt like the world had taken everything from him unfairly. However, this time, things were different. He was more capable and more mature than he was and he was determined to take good care of the woman he loved and Luo Luo, his young nephew who his sister had left in their care.
