101 Is He Yours? 1

"Stop it, Uncle Yan! You stink!" Xiao Bao pinched his nose while pushing Song Fengyan's face away from him with his other hand. "Did you smoke again?" He said with disgust.

"Alright. You got me." Song Fengyan conceded. It was the real reason he'd left the boy earlier, but he didn't expect that Xiao Bao would roam around and bump into the Empress Dowager himself.

"Why don't you take Xiao Bao outside? I'll follow you shortly." Feng Tianyi told his cousin, not wanting Xiao Bao to witness him arguing with his mother.

Sensing the devil's intention, Song Fengyan didn't argue and brought the child outside. He didn't want to get involved with their issues anyway.

"I didn't know you need to babysit someone's child now, dear. Say, what have you been doing these past weeks? I couldn't even be in touch with you."

Song Huifen went to the president's seat and ran her forefinger on top of the desk. At least the office was kept clean although her son wasn't around to use it. It had been over five years since he used this room anyway.

"Nothing that should concern you, Mother. You did say I can do whatever I want if I come back here, right?" Feng Tianyi countered, hoping that his mother would stop delving into the details.

How was he supposed to explain that he was living with the Tangs now? How would his mother react to that? He wasn't particularly homeless. In fact, he could live on his own, but meeting the little buns months ago had sure turned his boring and mundane life to a tolerable one.

It was already hard enough that his every waking time was spent thinking about how to mend his relationship with Moyu. Feng Tianyi didn't want his mother to complicate things further.

"Indeed, I said that. But going missing for more than two months? Do you expect me not to be worried about my own son? It's too late for you to hide the truth, Tianyi. The boy has already told me about his mother." The Empress Dowager eyed her son knowingly. She wondered what kind of relationship he had with the empress.

Feng Tianyi's jaws hardened at his mother's words.

"Moyu has nothing to do with my decision." He bit out but his tone betrayed him.

"Oh, so it's Moyu now, huh? Did she know that you are Feng Tianyi? The older brother of the person who ruined her reputation?" She had never seen her own son being so guarded like this before.

Feng Tianyi looked down at his hands, avoiding his mother's gaze.

"She has no idea… I'm only Qin Jiran to her." He admitted to his own mother.

"No, of course not. I would have told you if he and his sister are mine." He frowned. Why was his mother asking him this anyway?

Song Huifen looked at her son with all seriousness and briefly reminded of the boy outside. No… there was no doubt that they resembled each other a lot. It couldn't just be a coincidence. She was a person who didn't believe in coincidences. Nothing in this world can be passed as a mere coincidence because everything happens for a reason.

She had never pried about his affairs before although she had known that he'd been with a few women before his accident five years ago. She'd never seen him take his relationship seriously nor introduce a woman he was seeing to her. For her son, romance and dating were a silly thing and could only be treated as something to cure his boredom.

"So how sure are you that he and his sister aren't yours? Are they Tianhua's children then?" She challenged him. There's an easy way to find out if the twins were his or not, but Song Huifen wasn't sure if he would be willing to undergo a paternity test with the children.

"Mother, you are overthinking again! There's no way I would be the one who fathered them, not when I am like this. What's more I've only known Tang Moyu for a few months." Feng Tianyi frowned, not understanding why his mother was acting like this.

"Is that so?" Song Huifen nodded. No, it didn't make sense to her, but looking at her son, she didn't think he was lying to her this time. Then what are the odds that the boy and his twin sister were part of her family?

"Yes, Mother. Now, if you'll excuse me, we need to leave as we're already late for the lunch we've reserved earlier." Feng Tianyi wheeled himself to head out of the room. He didn't think there's any other reason to stay with her.

"Nonsense, just join me for lunch. I also want to know more about Tang Moyu's son. He amused me." Song Huifen said before following her son out and seeing that her nephew and the boy were waiting for them.

"Pretty Auntie, are you joining us for lunch?" Xiao Bao asked when his Daddy Ji said this beautiful grandma would join them.

Song Huifen chuckled and let Xiao Bao hold her hand again as they made their way to the elevator.

"Auntie? Don't you think I could pass as your Granny, Xiao Bao?" She asked back.

The little boy shook his head and blinked.

"But pretty auntie looks so young to be a granny!"
