Chapter 44 Green Savage Octopus

[AN: Please, I'll like to point some things out. One, you must be patient and follow the story as it progress. Don't expect the story to be an open book that you will understand the plot with a single glance. Two, some chapters are connected. For you to understand, you must link the chapters to under the plot. I'll not be choking everything in a single chapter for you to understand. And don't expect me to vividly write everything out when everything is already spell out for you. Lotus world is so complicated that many scenarios will be happening at the same time. For example, The Bloodmoon Envoy, the Blood Whisperer, the Monster Beast Race, the Ancient Seal Demon that are just appearing in the plot and many more to appear in the future. These are some question our MC would be trying to unravel:

What are the Bloodmoon Envoys. What do they want from the Lotus world. If you think Lotus World is just any ordinary mortal planet. Then, you're wrong. There are many forces at play. So, don't expect this to be the normal level up cultivation novel where the MC kills and level up quickly and ascend to the upper realm. Therefore...

Please, follow Su Yen patiently as he unravels everything.]

Su Yen and Huang Yin raced desperately through a treacherous, narrow path with rushing streams on both sides. The waters roared and churned, mirroring the urgency of their flight. The rocky terrain beneath their feet was uneven, making every step a precarious gamble.

As they pushed forward, the continuous, heavy footsteps of the mutated humans echoed ominously behind them. The narrow path twisted and turned, the sheer water walls on either side closing in, giving them no option but to forge ahead. The air was thick with the scent of dampness, and the sound of rushing water and heavy breathing filled their ears.

As Su Yen and Huang Yin sprinted to the end of the narrow path, they were met with an unexpected sight – a wide, open rushing river. The path had led them to the river's edge, and there was no way to proceed except to confront the formidable waterway that lay before them.

The river stretched out endlessly, its powerful currents surging with incredible force. The water roared like a ferocious beast, its surface churned into frothy whitecaps by the relentless flow. Seeing this, Huang Yin looked at Su Yen, waiting for his decision. After a couple of seconds, Su Yen said slowly.

"I think it's time for us to take a quick bath." He looked at her rosy neck and hugged her thin waist. "You don't need to be shy. I'm your man, after all."

'Shameless pervert,' she said in her heart. Without waiting for her, Su Yen picked her up and jumped into the rushing water. A gasp escaped from her mouth, only for water to rush in.

Subconsciously, she grabbed Su Yen tightly as the strong tide of the water carried them forward forcefully. Meanwhile, as they left the narrow path, a group of massive mutated humans appeared and looked at Su Yen and Huang Yin inside the river, an evil smile crept up their faces.

As for Su Yen and Huang Yin, they tried to swim out of the river, but a powerful force obstructed them, forcing them to the center of the river. "This is not an ordinary river," Su Yen thought. Suddenly, a panicked cry came from Huang Yin as she was forcefully dragged down to the depth of the river.

The sudden attack caught Su Yen by surprise, but he quickly reacted, diving after her. 'You're getting on my nerves,' he growled and took out his sword. It was the Green Savage Octopus. However, this was no ordinary Green Savage Octopus but a mutated one. A long, strong tentacle wrapped around Huang Yin and dragged her downward at an extreme speed while the strong tide of the river blasted over her face.

And if she were a Body Building realm warrior, the strong tide of the river would be enough to knock her unconscious. She struggled frantically to escape from the clutch of the tentacle but futile. The tentacle wrapped around firmly, giving her no room to escape at all. While she was struggling, she saw a colossal beast at the bottom of the river.

It was the Green Savage Octopus. However, this was no ordinary Green Savage Octopus but a mutated one. Around its body were green stripes that flashed continuously. Its big round eyes fixed on Huang Yin with its mouth wide open as if it couldn't wait to feast on its prey.

Just then, a flash of starlight came whistling toward the Green Savage Octopus at an extreme speed. Boom! Growl! The Green Savage Octopus cried in pain, and at that moment, it released its clutch on Huang Yin. Getting free from the savage octopus, Huang Yin breathed a sigh of relief and turned to face the savage octopus.

As for the savage octopus, it had regained from the attack and looked at the attack direction and swung four of its tentacles. The water swirled, gathering a powerful momentum that rushed toward the incoming Su Yen. Facing four powerful tentacles, Su Yen didn't have any change in his expression and swung his sword in an arc.

A flash of starlight power formed an arc and traveled toward the incoming attack and cut it into two before continuing toward the tentacles. Bang! The Green Savage Octopus cried in pain as one of its tentacles was cut into two. Subsequently, Huang Yin swung her whip and attacked one of its tentacles.

Even though Huang Yin's attack wasn't as deadly as Su Yen's sword attack, nonetheless, it caused the octopus a huge pain. However, as a mutated beast, the Green Savage Octopus's instinct kicked in. How dare a puny human attack him and take its prey out of its mouth.

Two of its tentacles attacked Huang Yin, and others attacked Su Yen from all angles. Huang Yin swung left and right, trying to dodge the tentacles. As for Su Yen, he moved back and forth in the water, dodging the tentacles by a hair. Slash! After coming out of the web of tentacles, Su Yen didn't dilly-dally and cut two more tentacles, dyeing the water blue.

As for the Green Savage Octopus, its miserable scream echoed throughout the river. Its big wide eyes lost its madness and were replaced by fear. "Let's end this charade," Su Yen thought and attacked.

"Starlight Blossom Slash— Second Form."

Whoosh!

The slash was so fast and sharp that it cut the water into two, leaving an empty vacuum in the water. As for the Green Savage Octopus, its instinct kicked in, feeling the incoming threat.

Instantly, the octopus swung its remaining tentacles and tried to retreat. But it still underestimated the blossom slash. Bang! The attack appeared in front of it and cut through its thick skin as if cutting through butter. The Green Savage Octopus let out its last scream before its body sliced into two.

Looking at the dead beast, Huang Yin breathed a sigh of relief and turned to look at Su Yen with a slight shock written all over her face.

'How strong is he?' Her heart raced.

'Previously, I thought I was the strongest in the barren land. How wrong was I?!' 'Thank goodness, he's my man.' With that thought, a beautiful smile crept on her face.

As for Su Yen, he looked at the dead octopus, and a slight frown appeared on his face. Just as he wanted to swim toward Huang Yin, the torrent inside the water increased to another level, forming a powerful whirlpool. And before anyone could process what was going on, they were both sucked into the whirlpool and disappeared.
