CHAPTER 75
He spared no time in increasing the speed he drove at just so he could meet up with time and when it was exactly two minutes to three, he quickly dialled Andromeda's number.
"Hey."
"Liu Xueyi, how was your meeting?" Andromeda asked softly, this time she wanted to be good and not judge him.
"Good. Are your things packed?"
"Yes." She nodded, "Just rounding up."
"Okay, come down."
Her gaze instinctively fell on the wall clock in her office, realizing he successfully kept to his time. "Are you here yet?" Her subtle voice asked.
"No. I would be there at three o'clock sharp. Don't make me wait."
He disconnected the call in one breath, leaving Andromeda wordless as she wondered why he hung up like that.
Did something happen at his meeting? Regardless of what the issue might be, Andromeda did not want to offend him again.
Who knows what his naughty self was going to do if she provoked him?
According to plan, she arrived there the second the clock struck three and scanned the parking space for his car but found none.
'Hmm, three sharp. This is already three. Why isn't he here?'
The thoughts had barely settled in her mind when a black range Rover car drove in and came to a stop in front of her.
Her eyes flew down to her watch, earning her a smile.
"What's so funny?"
"You are late," Andromeda stated as she lifted her head to look at him. "You are thirty-eight seconds late, Liu Xueyi. How do you plead?"
Her eyes twinkled with mischief at her question. Of course, he knew she was going to use it on him but now wasn't the time.
The more he stared at her, the more the fire burned in his loins and he took a deep swallow to suppress that feeling.
He felt fortunate to have been able to admire her beautiful eyes, gorgeous face and succulent lips, not the ones of that slut, Mo Feng Yi.
However, that was his doom.
The longer he stared deeper into her glistening eyes, the more eager he wished to pin her against a wall and sneak his tongue into her mouth, taming it and in turn shutting her up.
A mischievous thought ran through his mind and Andromeda once again felt the same heated x-ray eyes she had once felt on her.
She felt naked under his intense gaze and she too began feeling hot. What was he thinking, however? She could not tell.
She only knew she was staring at one gorgeous hot CEO... Her CEO.
Her feet remained rooted to the ground until his deep voice broke her out of her reverie.
"I would please you in return, don't worry but get in the car let's go."
Like a spell-bound servant, she obeyed and got in the car.
"Belt up," he reminded her.
As fast as he came, Liu Xueyi drove out at the same speed.
All through their drive back, he did not speak, not even a single word escaped from that sweet mouth of his but his gaze remained focused on the road.
She could tell from the tight grip he had on his steering wheel that something was wrong. However, there was currently nothing she could do other than stare in wonder.
Her gaze fell from his face down to his neck, those bold Adam's apples and his chest.
Yes, his chest. He had long since thrown open his tie and unbuttoned two buttons.
Her gaze flickered to the car air conditioner and was certain it still worked but the cold sweat that broke out at the corner of his face told her he was hot.
Why, though?
Before long, they arrived at the estate and in front of her house.
All Liu Xueyi wanted was for her to exit so he could spare her from what was to follow.
Sorry for him, Andromeda was not planning to leave. She was very much worried.
He could see the genuine concern etching her beautiful face as her eyes raked over him in search of what might be wrong.
Thankfully, he shifted his trousers properly and did not think naughty thoughts else he would have had a proud member ready to be seen.
Gulp!
"Huh, you can go in now," Liu Xueyi pointed out.
"I can but I won't." He shut his eyes briefly, stealing in a couple of deep breaths.
He opened them and turned his head to his side to find her staring boldly at him. "Andromeda."
"What is wrong, Xueyi? You are not fine." she worriedly said to him.
"I am," he managed to let out in a husky voice.
"Tell that to someone who is blind. You are not." His grip on the steering tightened further till his knuckles turned pale.
"Xueyi," her breathing hitched and she reached for his hand, sliding her small hands over his big ones to rest on his wrist.
GASP!
A gasp fell off her lips immediately and she peeled her gaze back to his face. "You're burning."
"I would be fine. Just go in first."
"Are you going to the hospital to check yourself?" He shook his head which earned a frown from her. "Then no. You are coming in with me."
He pried his lips open to argue with her and she pressed a finger on his lips, shutting him up involuntarily.
"You don't get to argue this with me. I have obeyed you today, now it is your turn. Let's go in."
He stared unblinkingly at her for a while before chuckling at her bossy attitude. It only made him want to have her and silence her in his naughty way.
"Fine." Her finger slid down his lip and innocently fell to his chest. "Cold water would be good."
Her smile broadened and she withdrew from him. Unfortunately, he sucked in a lung full of breath to calm himself.
If only she had been watchful, she would notice the flames of desire sparkling in his eyes from her single action of touching him.
She got out of the car first and waited for him. He followed after and together they made their way up to her floor.
