CHAPTER 64
By the time they arrived at the restaurant, Liu Xueyi had her ordering anything she wanted and paid for it. They spent the afternoon, enjoying lunch while talking about ways to make the upcoming fashion week enjoyable.
In the course of their eating, Andromeda failed to notice the fact that someone had been staring in their direction for a long time but Liu Xueyi did and smiled it off.
He had once experienced something like that and this time, not wanting to give himself off for noticing the person, he focused on Andromeda and her ideas.
Of course, with the way she spoke, he sure was right to have kept her a secret from everyone on the day of the movie launch.
One thing was sure, he was careful with her. As precious of a gem she was, he needed to protect her interest.
"Huh, Liu Xueyi, are you even listening to me?" She lifted her brows, silently questioning him.
"Hmm?" From the way he lifted his eyes to look at her, she knew his mind was somewhere else. He was distracted when they were discussing something as important.
She shook her head and rolled her eyes. "What has got the almighty CEO so absent-minded?"
"Nothing. Just recalled some work I need to finish today and well. I got carried away," he lied, faking a smile. "So, where were we?" He moved closer and placed both hands on the table, fixing his eyes on her face.
She may not be so experienced in acting but she could tell when one was hiding something and trying to cover it. In this case, he was giving her his full attention to cover up something.
If it were to be other ladies, they would thrill at the fact that he was giving them his attention but not this girl. She sensed something fishy and she was ready to figure it out.
From the corners of her eye, she felt something flash into her eyes and smiled. 'Bingo. Found you.' Andromeda exclaimed in her mind.
Lose to the corner opposite where she sat, she noticed two men dining together. From the outfit they put on, she could tell they were one of the rich sharks and not just any loser.
'Hmm, what do they want with me or is it, him?' She brought her head back, tilting it to the side a bit as she asked.
"Since you are very much busy, shouldn't we head home now?"
"Oh, you have plans?" He asked, evading the question.
"Nope. You clearly said you were busy. That is why I reminded you, considering we are done here." She showed him her plans and shrugged as she leaned back, resting in her seat.
"Fine then. Since you are so eager to leave my company. Let's go home, hmm?"
"Okay." She knew what he was playing at so she was not planning on h=feeding into his needs and smiled.
"But I need to use the restroom, here," he opened his wallet and took out a golden card. "Use it to pay, I would be back."
He handed her the car and walked off. Once he was out of sight, Andromeda scoffed before looking at the card. 'Only twelve of this in the country. He is one of the twelve owing this unlimited card, hmm, his wealth must be so…'
She did not finish her thoughts when she saw one of the men standing up and walking in her direction.
All the while she got her eyes busy on the card that she pretended not to see him and when he was close enough, she raised her hand to beckon the waiter.
Immediately he arrived by her side and took the card to swipe it, as asked.
"Hello. Good afternoon, ma'am," the young man greeted.
His eyes held a trace of mischief in them but were masked with the very touch of revenge and sweetness. "My name is, Sun Yichen."
'Sun Yichen, Sun Yichen. Where have I heard that name from? Or wait. Yes, there is a slight resemblance.' Andromeda figured out.
"Hi, Mr Sun. What can I do for you?"
"Nothing, honestly. I was seated over there," he gestured towards his seat and I could not help but admire you. So I cam over."
"Awwn, that is thoughtful. Thanks."
"May I sit?"
"I am sorry. That belongs to my companion and he would soon be returning," she evaded once more.
"I see. Well, I just wanted to have the privilege of getting to know you better."
"Sure. If only time permits. Sadly, even those close to me don't get that privilege."
As much as she was not trying to sound due and all, she was evasive quite well. Being the gentleman that he was, he did not press too much. After all, there was time.
"Okay. You sem different."
"No one is born the same, dear. Of course, I would be different, don't you think?" Her eyebrows raised a notch, maintaining her lovely smile while she hinted for him to leave.
"Okay then. I like your person, Miss. I did not get the pleasure of knowing your name."
"If it is fated to be, perhaps if we meet for a third time, then I shall let you know my name."
"How about granting me a wish?"
"Hahaha, I am sorry but in this age and time, just anyone can know someone if they searched. I cannot give that privilege cause I know you would do everything to make it possible."
A charming astonishing smile formed on his face at her choice of words. She wasn't far from the truth which was he already knew who she was before he spoke to her.
He knew Liu Xueyi bit when his eyes landed on her, he was mesmerized and now speaking to her, he still felt charmed by her wits.
She was careful, which was nice. He would never have guessed she was Andromeda had Liu Xueyi not made mention of her name at one point in time.
"Alright then. I shall leave it all to fate as you have said. But trust me, in time, I believe I shall be owed a wish."
"Fine then. Challenge accepted." At the same time, she saw Liu Xueyi walking over and beaming a smile in his direction. "I need to leave now. Please excuse me."
With that, she picked up her purse and intercepted Liu Xueyi. Quickly, the waiter rushed over and handed her the card, before bidding them goodbye.
Liu Xueyi who had been watching the whole show secretly did not say anything when they got close to Sun Yichen and walked past with Andromeda holding his arm lovingly.
This was the second time she was taking advantage of him as she had once done in the past but unlike then, he loved it so much she was using him to make someone jealous.
Rather than being angry, it provided him more front to tease her with later on.
