Chapter 536 The Other Culprit

CHAPTER 536

All Rong Bolin did was muse at their current situation while waiting for Liu Xueyi to explain. Of course, he had a good idea of what he was thinking.

"I feel he is a young genius and if what Rong Bolin said is true, I'll need his help in targeting someone and finding the real culprit. I am sure the mastermind went to great lengths in covering their tracks."

"Yes," Rong Bolin affirmed. "His was a mistake. When we tracked the CCTV footage and the time the video was posted, as well as people around that time and those leaving, we finally narrowed it down to him, K.X. The kid purchased a snack bar and paid using a card. Long story short, we finally caught him."

"I am sure we'll need his help to get a name," Liu Xueyi nodded.

"And that's if he isn't the one and he agrees to cooperate," Chu Fengjin reminded them.

A smirk appeared on Rong Bolin's face. "Oh, he will cooperate, or he will face the full force of the law, an outstanding huge debt, a mafia's eye on him and lots more."

Just watching the devilish smirk on his friend's face, Chu Fengjin shuddered. "Don't give me the chills, Bolin. After dealing with him, I'm the one who gets to suffer treating the young lad."

"You sure do a good job," Rong Bolin praised with a laugh.

Everyone chuckled along but soon stopped when Xu Fang pointed at Liu Xueyi. "What did you find out?"

They had all forgotten about the information he got and focused solely on the young lad.

"Tsk, you think you can escape, huh?" Chu Fengjin, who had been eager all the while, accused him.

"What?" Ignoring his friend's accusation, Liu Xueyi gave his order: "Fang, I want you to dig up everything you know about K.X. and his contest and why he failed. Bolin, I want you to also dig deep into his past and present. Who has he been meeting with, and who are his current clients?"

"Okay, we understand, but even I am eager to know what you found out," Xu Fang stated.

"Fine. We do not have solid proof yet, but the person keeping these scandals up and running is Ms. Yu."

"You An?"

The color almost drained from Tang Yan's face. "What is such a lovely young lady like her doing, causing so much confusion?"

Both Liu Xueyi and Rong Bolin arched their brows at him. "Lovely lady, you say?" Bolin questioned.

"Umm," he cleared his throat and reclined back into the sofa he sat on, "what I mean is, she didn't seem to be one who caused trouble when she asked that I be their lawyer representative for her business in the city. Why would she…"

He did not get to finish when Chu Fengjin cut in, "Don't tell me she is into you, Xueyi and this is the only way to get you to notice her."

"What? Is Xueyi two-timing? What did I miss?" Tang Yan immediately butted in.

At that moment, Liu Xueyi felt like head-booting Tang Yan. "Huh, are you dumb or what? Did your ears fail to grasp the part where he said, I did not give her any attention?"

"Point of correction: he didn't exactly use the words attention; you just..."

"Yan!" Bolin and Fenjin chided at the same time. They could already see Liu Xueyi was boiling with anger.

For starters, he never liked Yu An, and now he had to be linked to her and called a cheat. Jokes aside, he found some jokes expensive and did not fancy anything relating to cheating.

After all, the girl he loved cheated on him and left him alone when she found out she was pregnant.

"Relax, I was kidding. Anyways, what's with her?"

"From the looks of things, I heard he declined her business proposal. Maybe she just wants him to do business and nothing more," Chu Fengjin explained.

"Regardless," Rong Bolin stated, pulling all the attention to himself, "I do not like her. There's so much about her that's unknown."

"Okay, she wants to be mysterious. Cool. What wrong with that?" Tang Yan shrugged.

"Not if it all looks shady in some ways," Xu Fang added.

Everything they had said, Liu Xueyi could understand, but if really found proof he did not think he would let it die silently.

"And then she'd go about hurting Andy rather than coming at me? Nah, that's too low even for her. And if it turns out correct, then, Tang Yan, you know what to do," Liu Xueyi proclaimed.

"I do?"

"Yes. Sabotage her business partnership with the Sun family and Bolin, expose her affair with Sun Yichen."

"Wait, she's having..." Tang Yan's eyes flew wide open. He could not believe it but rather than casting his disbelief on her, he was appalled by Sun Yichen's behavior. "Isn't Yichen engaged to be married to Andromeda's stepsister?"

A low scoff escaped Liu Xueyi's lips. "I was right about them. A family of shady people. I won't forgive any cheat, both male and female."

"Thank goodness Andromeda didn't end up with him or else…" Rong Bolin clamped his lips shut when he realized what he had said.

The room fell silent as they all shifted their attention to Liu Xueyi. They knew how much he cherished Andromeda and definitely how jealous he gets when another man is brought into the picture.

"In my opinion, he would have loved and cherished Andromeda too. She is the only girl he ever cherished and chased."

The more they spoke, the more Liu Xueyi's eyes twitched as he tried to control his anger while they spoke about his girlfriend like he wasn't there.

However, rather than speaking, his silence was carried by the murderous intent swirling around him. At once, he rose to his feet as he shot a cold glare at Xu Fang.

"Too bad for him. He'll never get the chance. Andromeda is mine."

Chu Fengjin scoffed a small laugh at his friend's nature and shook his head. "Then why delay? Make it official and get married, Xueyi."

Liu Xueyi shifted his gaze to Chu Fengjin. Instead of getting mad, they were surprised he smirked before walking away.

As soon as he got to the door, though, his voice rang out loud and clear, "Soon."
