CHAPTER 53

'Gosh, no, no, no. I haven't gotten over his actions and the…'

Her thoughts were soon interrupted when Liu Xueyi took the next step in her direction. "Now that you cannot avoid me, Andromeda, I wonder where else you would run to?"

Lifting her head, she wore her best smile yet and tried to mask her nervousness while responding. "I still have the toilet, Mr Liu. You cannot enter a girl's toilet."

"This is not the general restroom," Liu Xueyi corrected. "You would be surprised the length I can go," He threatened, closing the gap between them till he arrived in front of her desk.

"I see. Then it would be safe for me to tag you as a pervert, right?" She wore a genuine smile awaiting his response.

Liu Xueyi's mouth twisted into a wry smile and the dark eyes that sought hers held a trace of humour. "You are something else," he teased and sat down on the chair close by.

"You still owe me two favours, don't forget. I can use that to my advantage and follow you in there." His gaze drifted from her face to the side of the office where her personal restroom was.

"And I would simply choose not to use the restroom here."

"I won't let you leave," he challenged.

"I simply might just get myself a restraining order." Her lips curved to the side, revealing a triumphant smirk. "What are you here for, Mr Liu?"

"Liu Xueyi. Call me that way."

"It is appropriate that I address you as Mr Liu."

"Andromeda, I thought we were passed that stage already. Especially after what happened on Saturday." Her brows raised in shock. She did not know what exactly he was referring to but she had a guess.

The memory of his body inching against hers and his lips but a tiny space from hers. And the feel of his breathing on her cheeks.

Her face flushed. Not wanting him to figure it out, she walked away and headed to the other desk housing some of the work she had been tending to before his arrival.

"What happened on Saturday?" She asked, feigning ignorance.

"You mean you have forgotten?" His gaze escorted her and once she arrived at the table, he too stood up and walked stealthily over to her.

"Yes. I believe nothing happened?" She stated without a second thought.

She waited for some seconds and when she got no response, she turned around and was shocked to find him very close to her.

Her body tensed up immediately as she gazed into his dazzling black orbs.

"If you have forgotten, I can help jog your memory back." He pushed forward, placing both hands on the desk. Her body refused to move as she remained trapped between him and the table.

"Mr Liu."

"Wrong word Andromeda. Perhaps you really need a memory jogging." With that said, he leaned in further, forcing her to push back while his head came close to her.

Enjoying how fast her cheeks flushed a bright red, Liu Xueyi decided to tease her more.

Slowly, his gaze dropped to her lips, wanting to taunt her but sadly for him, the second he gazed at those succulent lips he couldn't have before, his heartbeat increased exponentially.

His eyes blinked, but his eyes remained locked on her lips. She gulped hard, watching his face inch closer than before.

"Mr…" His lips pulled back a bit in a small smile as he inched closer again, angling his head properly in that position. "Xue…"

"Say my name," his deep voice ordered. She swallowed again but unlike last time she did not have the guts to close her eyes and stared him straight in the eyes while his head came closer again.

"Yi…"

"Complete name." He ignored her sorry attempt and brought his lips very close to her mouth again while his eyes scanned hers, wearing his trade mark smirk. "What happened on that day…"

Her mind raced in her head. It was as though her brain got the chance to work again and she placed a hand on his chest to push him back. "Nothing happened that day, Mr Liu."

"Oh really." He moved fast, causing her to close her eyes but he evaded her lips and brought his lips to her ears. "I defended you in front of those scoundrels. Have you forgotten?"

He pulled back and smiled at her, watching how shocked she was that she was the one thinking things wrongly.

Without uttering a word, he moved away completely and let out a burst of soft laughter.

She remained there, not moving but blinking away her initial fear while scolding herself mentally.

'Seriously, Andromeda. Gosh, what would he think of you now?' she mentally reprimanded.

"If you are done being a statue, you can come over with the birdlike peacock design in your left hand. I need to see it and discuss it with you."

She snapped from her trance and looked at her left-hand side. Indeed the design was right there. She wasted no more time and picked up the paper before walking back to her seat.

Together they sat down but unlike before, she did not look into his eyes again. He was too much of a tease for her poor brain.

"I came here to say hi," he began. "So, hi." His cheeks puffed up at her, hoping to ease the tension he created willfully. "I hope now you would choose to call me by my given name and not be so formal?"

"Fine. Mr." The icy look she got next, made her correct herself quickly. "Yes, Liu Xueyi."

"Good. I came to inform you that I would be needing an out of this world outfit."

Her brows raised at him. He understood what that was for and he explained.

"There would be a movie launch for the Liu entertainment industry. They would be needing an outfit to showcase the main female lead during the launch. Something that portrays her role in the film, if you know what I mean."

"I see. You seem to have found the one you like?" Her gaze trailed off to the paper in front of them.

"Yes. Who designed this?" His gaze fell on her insignia and he smiled. "You did."

"Yes." A smile formed on her lips but she masked it off quickly. "Fine, I would like to know more about her role and from there, make a few adjustments to the designs."

"No need. Trust me, this suits. She would be happy as well when she sees it."

"In that case, I would set the ship sail and order all the necessary materials to make it."
