Sun Yichen reached out to touch her cheek gently while holding back the urge to kiss her. He spoke her name with a tenderness that had never left his voice. "Yu An..."
Her gaze met his, a mixture of emotions within her eyes.
"Yichen," she said, her voice choked with desire. "Show me," she voiced slowly, making sure every word she said was well perceived.
She watched him swallow, his Adam's apple bubbling up and down while fighting an internal battle.
For all he knew she could just be teasing him once more only to leave him hanging like she did the last time.
"I would but…"
"But what?" Yu An challenged, placing her right hand on his chest. She gazed up at him through her lashes, ensuring she held his attention. "Do not tell me the mighty Sun Yichen is afraid, huh?"
There was a slight waver in his eyes and within the next second, he threw off every thought in his mind.
Without another word, he crashed his lips on hers, kissing her more passionately than Yu An could have anticipated.
When they broke apart to catch their breath, her smile spilled into her eyes as she bit down her lip seductively.
Sun Yichen caught his breath before asking her in a low sensual voice. "Why?"
"Why what?"
"Why didn't to come that night?"
Yu An did not spare him a glance and turned but before she could get away, he caught her wrist and spun her back into his arms.
"I bet you already have your answer, Mr. Sun. You're engaged."
'You knew I was going to be before sleeping with me before. Yu An you…" she placed a finger on his lips, cutting him short.
"I did but then, it wasn't official. Now, you belong to…"
He pressed his lips against hers once more, sliding his tongue into her mouth and sucking on hers.
Moans escaped Yu An's lips, feeling lightheaded all of a sudden. "I belong to no one, Yu An."
"Prove it," she challenged.
"With pleasure."
They held each other's gaze, each challenging the other before giving in to what they wanted.
"Fuck it," Yu An muttered and attacked his lips.

By the time Director Qi ended his call with Liu Xueyi, he answered his call from Yu Weilan.
As annoying as things were, he knew he would have to tell her the news. She couldn't be retained as the cast for Xu Ming but instead her sister, Xu Xing.
"Hello."
He answered with a smile, expecting to discuss her role and the upcoming shooting schedule.
"Hello, Yu Weilan," he greeted her warmly.
"Director Qi," she responded, her voice tinged with curiosity and a hint of anxiety, "I just heard from my manager that there might be some changes in the film?"
She hit the nail on the head, not wanting to give him a chance to play her.
Director Qi leaned back in his chair, a thoughtful expression crossing his face. He knew he had to handle this conversation delicately given her accident and character.
"Yes, that's right, Yu Weilan. I've been reevaluating the script and the characters, and I believe there's an opportunity for you to take on a more challenging role."
Her brows creased and her concern was palpable as she replied, "A different role? I was really excited about playing Xu Ming. Is there a problem with my auditioning?"
Director Qi shook his head and quickly reassured her. "Oh, not at all."
"Then?"
"The truth is, you did well during your audition for the character, Xu Ming. It was exceptional and we believe in your talent. However, I've decided to introduce a new character to the story. Xu Ming's sister, Xu Xing."
Yu Weilan was silent for a moment. The prospect of a new character was unexpected and raised doubts. "I see."
"Yes."
"Why can't I have my original role back?"
"It's not you can't."
"Then?"
Director Qi swallowed. She was pushing his buttons, making him admit to something he hoped would go smoothly.
"Do not tell me you are actually considering Andromeda Kai as my replacement?" I am back, Director," she added sharply.
"I know you are but shooting has gone far and she has taken on the role as well as publicity has been made. Changing her would lose traction."
"Just that?"
"I am sorry to say but that is the change."
Seeing that he placed a strong stand on what he wanted, she decided not to push things too much to get him angry and instead play the cute girl card.
"But Director Qi, I'm worried that this might affect my performance or that I won't be able to do justice to both roles."
Director Qi chose his words carefully, emphasizing the opportunity this presented.
"I understand your concerns, Yu Weilan. But think about the challenge and growth this can offer you as an actress. You'll get to explore a different character, one with a unique storyline. Xu Xing is a complex character with her own arc."
Her interest was piqued but she hesitated.
Nevertheless, he continued. "And she tried to sabotage her sister, causing bigger problems for Xu Ming. This means you will act as Xu Ming too in some scenes. This dual role will allow you to showcase your versatility."
Yu Weilan hesitated, her thoughts clearly racing. "It's just that I've invested so much in Xu Ming, and I've been preparing for this role for a while now. It's hard to change gears suddenly."
Director Qi empathized with her dilemma.
"I know change can be difficult, especially when you've been preparing for a particular character. But I believe you have the talent and capability to excel in both roles. It's an exciting opportunity for you to display your range as an actress."
Still uncertain, Yu Weilan questioned, "And how do you see Xu Xing's character fitting into the story? Will she have a significant role?"
Director Qi could hear the skepticism in her voice and knew he had to be more convincing.
