Chapter 500 Rising Hatred

***************

CHAPTER 500

Rather than responding, Liu Xueyi peeled his gaze from her briefly when he noticed a figure jumping from the top of the stage to the stairs.

"They are escaping," he whispered, his voice a soothing balm in the aftermath of the harrowing incident.

"Huh?" Andromeda, now acting as Xu Ming had her eyes still glued to Liu Xueyi, completely stunned by his striking features.

"I need to go. Ake cover," he announced.

"Huh, please don't go," she uttered and held onto his hand the second he released her.

"I need to…" Just before he could explain, the sound of a gun going off rang out as the bullet missed her hand, thanks to Liu Xueyi's good instincts.

"Where are your guards? This isn't safe. You must go."

The theater slowly began to buzz with murmurs and discussions as security personnel rushed to secure the scene.

As the chaos around them continued to unfold, Liu Xueyi's protective hold around Andromeda remained.

Once the security personnel got up on stage, he handed Andromeda over to them and chased his attackers.

"Cut!"

It was when they heard the deep voice of Director Qi that everyone blinked, recalling where they had been.

"Bravo. That was simply ecstatic," Director Qi applauded.

The lights on the stage came on as everyone gave a round of applause. Most did not think a non-actress like herself with no form of training could pull off a damsel in distress scene like that.

But the way Andromeda acted left fear, panic, love and different emotions in the hearts of those watching.

It did not take long for people to start shipping the 3rd female lead with the ml together thanks to Andromeda's flawless act.

"Just a tiny adjustment but other than that, this scene is good to go," Director Qi announced.

Andromeda dipped her head in appreciation as she came closer to the edge of the stage.

Coming over, Liu Xueyi's lips parted into a proud smile, watching a few others fawn over Andromeda.

All it took was a trial to get people to notice her talents.

By the time the crowd dispersed from Andromeda and she was made to redo a part of the scene, she ended her act for that day.

Director Qi went ahead to hand over the script for the play, giving her a chance to study better and incorporate herself into her character.

Fang Qian Qian who watched it all unfold could not deny the talents Andromeda possessed, much better than Yu Weilan if she was being truthful.

"I do not know why everyone is fawning over her," she muttered begrudgingly. "It isn't like she did her best or she is an outstanding actress, tsk."

She raised her chin, folding her hands as she watched Liu Xueyi speaking with Andromeda, his face filled with smiles.

"Exactly," a masculine voice said from behind her. "She isn't a good actress, Fang Qian Qian, however, she is a great actress and a skilled, talented one.

Fang Qian Qian who had been smiling at being praised found her lips tugging downward at the praise Andromeda got.

"Whether you are blinded by rage or not, Ms. Fang, I think only a blind person will not see the change in acting and how well she pulled the audience."

Fang Qian Qian snapped her head to the side, turning her body slightly to see who dared speak about Andromeda in such a praise-worthy way.

"Di-D-Director Qi."

Her eyes widened in horror at the young Director standing before her while flashing his best trademark smile.

"I may not be everywhere but I am pretty sure when one of my actresses is being bad-mouthed, my presence shall be known."

"B-But, she is not even a signed actress and no one has said she is taking on the role. Besides, the role of Xu Ming is a hard one…"

"Just because you cannot take on the role does not mean others can't."

Fang Qian Qian clenched her fists behind her whilst he continued. "Or oh, I forgot, your urge to always be in the spotlight prevented you from such?"

She bit down on her lower lip. For some reason unknown to her he was hitting all of her weak points, indirectly dissing her.

"Director Qi, I did not speak in that regard. I was only…"

Before she could protect her name and clamour up more lies, he cut in sharply, striking at the hot iron.

"I must wonder though, are you saying this out of concern for the film or out of your own incapabilities?"

A dark glint flashed in his eyes as he stared at her, silently threatening her to say one more ill word before him.

Her fingers trembled as she stared into those frightening eyes of his. He was rumoured to be the devilish director and a man who did not stand for nonsense.

"I do not know how Director Chao did it before but in my set, an attitude such as yours cannot be tolerated."

"I am sure Fang Qian Qian did not mean it," Taio Rong, advocated from behind them.

Stepping from the shadows and into the light, the young man lowered his head in reverence before managing a soft smile at the young lady.

By the time he stared at the duo, Director Qi gave a curt nod and excused himself. "I hope you are sincere. I do not tolerate lies. Enjoy your day."

Once Qian Qian was sure he was gone, she released the breath she did not know she was holding in.

Heaven knew that had Taio Rong not shown up, she had no idea how she was going to remedy the situation for speaking badly about Andromeda.

"Tsk, the witch hasn't begun yet she is pulling big sharks behind her. I need to take care of this quickly." Her eyes rolled in their sockets.

After some time, she fixed her attention on Taio Rong, her mind trying so hard to fight the fear that ran through her a couple of minutes back.

However, no matter how much she tried, she could not hide the cold sweat that broke out of her skin at visible parts of her body.

"Come, would you like a coffee while you catch a breather?"

"Cold juice is best."

"Sure. Let's take a break."
