Walking over to the door, Jian Xiaofei unlocked it before pulling it open.
"Andromeda, welcome back. Sorry, I fell asleep, come in. Let me help you with that," Jian Xiaofei offered and took the shopping bags from Andromeda.
Stepping into her house, Andromeda's eyes glanced around in search of something.
"I'm going to make dinner now. Do you want to join? It will be ready by the time you are finished getting changed and all that. We can eat together then. Okay?"
Even after Jian Xiaofei spoke, there was no response coming from Andromeda, prompting the young lady to turn and catch her boss glancing around like a thief in search of what to steal.
"Ms. Andromeda? Any problem?" Jian Xiaofei's loud voice broke through her train of thoughts.
Andromeda blinked several times before turning her attention towards the young lady. "No... No, it's fine. I... Wait, is Xueyi around? I saw his car outside. Why can't I see him or did I miss him perhaps?"
At the same moment when Jian Xiaofei turned her attention to her boss, her eyes landed behind her and the naughty CEO sneaking up behind Andromeda.
Liu Xueyi placed a finger to his lips, shaking his head for her not to say anything.
"I... Huh..." Jian Xiaofei quickly swallowed. "No. Umm, do not worry yourself, perhaps he was still in his car and you did not see him," she reasoned.
"Hmm, are you sure though? His car was pretty empty," Andromeda countered.
"Or maybe he got sidetracked that is why you didn't see him. Yes. That must have been the case," Jian Xiaofei stated with so much conviction. Andromeda was about speaking again when she interjected, forcing the latter to keep shut and forget her thoughts.
All the while, Liu Xueyi couldn't be more proud that she was so bothered about seeing him.
"Anyways, you need rest and a nice meal. Go freshen up, I got this."
"Thank you."
Andromeda walked away, heading to the bedroom.
Jian Xiaofei watched as Andromeda disappeared behind the door. She waited for some more moments until she heard the sound of water running and sighed.
"Did you really have to? You should have seen the sad look on her face when she realized you might not be around or something," Jian Xiaofei whispered.
"I know. I wanted to scare her just now given I couldn't bring myself to do it to her given how disappointed and concerned she was about me."
Hearing such an honest response from the famous aloof CEO, Jian Xiaofei sighed.
"I am sorry if I worried her. I promise. I will make it up to her then. Okay?"
"Fine. You are right. And I am not the one you need to apologize to. That aside, what do you plan to do now?"
"I'm going to surprise her."
Liu Xueyi winked at Jian Xiaofei and soonest he had disappeared past the door, heading for Andromeda's bedroom leaving a slightly stunned Jian Xiaofei behind with a mischievous smile playing on her lips.
As soon as Liu Xueyi entered Andromeda's room, he locked the door with the key and tip-toed towards the shower.
On the other hand, Andromeda who remained oblivious to what was happening, focused on washing her body when the shower curtain pulled back and soon a pair of strong hands wrapped around her slim waist.
Shocked, she gasped and was about to turn and elbow her assaulter when she paused, her breathing ceasing as well and her hands wrapped around the owner of the hands.

"When did you get in? After I left or?"

"Anyways did you miss me so much that you came over or was it just..." She trailed off, hoping he got the hint.
"As much as I did enjoy our time together, it was more than that. I came to formally invite you to be my date for a party."
"A party?" Andromeda drew her brows together. Somehow she didn't know why she didn't get a thrill from what he said and waited for an explanation.
"Yes. I got an anonymous invitation, love. What say you? Let's check it out?"
