Chapter 470 Negative Emotions

***************

CHAPTER 470

Liu Xueyi blinked severally as the man before him pulled off the hoodie from his head to reveal his face.

Similarly, Andromeda who had been alerted by the recent happening via the stranger's words pushed her head forward out of curiosity.

"What are the odds," she heard the man's almost frail voice say.

She had wondered who it was that had such a familiar voice and almost failed to place it based on how croaked it seemed, probably due to the frustration of being out there in the cold for too long.

At once, her eyes widened, shock registering in her brain and face. "J-Judge Lie Junjie," she stuttered while blinking at him.

At once her eyes widened in disbelief, shock registering in her brain and on her face like a vivid emotion. "J-Judge Lie Junjie," she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper while blinking at him.

Truly what were the odds that they found themselves face to face with Judge Lie Junjie, the very man who had presided over the trial that wrongly implicated them and nearly ruined their lives due to the manipulations of Wu Bai, Beatrice Zhang and her useless stepmother.

A shadow of his former self, his proud posture now slouched and the wrinkles on his face seemed to have deepened since they last saw him. His eyes, once sharp and authoritative, now appeared haunted and filled with regret.

With his eyes narrowing, Liu Xueyi addressed him curtly, "Judge Lie."

A soft embarrassed smile formed on Judge Lie's face as he lowered his head. It was one thing to meet Liu Xueyi but seeing Andromeda whom he almost ruined completely, his conscience pricked him to the core.

Instinctively he withdrew, taking two steps back from the car and quickly placed his hoodie back over his head.

"Uh…" The shock on Andromeda's face was still something that haunted him.

Why, one might ask?

Simply because he saw the same shock, if not worse, devastation when Liu Xueyi was about to be convicted and he ruined her evidence thereby rendering her a mind-shattering disgrace.

Just recalling those times, Andromeda's shock changed into something else while Liu Xueyi remained composed.

However, that could not have been said about Andromeda. Usually calm and composed, Andromeda couldn't hide the disdain in her voice. "What do you want?"

He gulped visibly, his voice shaking as he spoke in an apologetic tone, "I'm sorry for bothering you two."

He did not spare a second behind and scurried off to his vehicle and tried to fix it.

By the time he left, Andromeda and Liu Xueyi both exchanged glances, confusion etched on their features more to Liu Xueyi than Andromeda though.

Seconds passed and neither of them spoke until Liu Xueyi released a deep sigh.

"Okay, let's help. You can stay inside if you wish. Let me see if I can render my assitance," he explained to her before moving his car from the road to park it by the side.

As much as Andromeda wished to be vengeful right now, it wasn't in her nature to ignore anyone who needed help.

It usually pricked at her heart. However, did he deserve any of this? Had Liu Xiao Xin and her cousin not taken extra measures wouldn't she have been in jail currently or worse, lost Liu Xueyi and they be separated?

Her chest rose and fell fast with every breath she took before releasing a deep sigh.

"Fine. But do not forget Xueyi, he doesn't deserve it," Andromeda pointed out.

"I know. I know he hurt you and I do not forgive him but who knows what can happen out here before he gets help? He could probably…"

"Die?" she completed for him before he had a chance to do so himself.

Liu Xueyi's brows creased, his eyes narrowing slightly as he took in her expression. This wasn't the girl crying just a few moments back. No.

She felt different.

She was in fact. The aura surrounding her was different, crazily different. Her rage was seething, her vengeance threatening to spill and act.

And Liu Xueyi saw it all, even though she was oblivious to what she did; from the veins popping up on her forehead, her neck, her arms down to her clenched fists and heavy breaths.

His baby… His Andy, was finally showing negative emotions. That was to show how deeply hurt she was.

His eyes twinkled, his lips parting ever so slightly enhancing his handsome features.

"I love you and I love this side of you as well but I won't let you dos something you will regret later in life."

"As long as it doesn't affect you, your life, I would do anything and won't regret it. He hurt you," she reasoned.

"And he hurt you more. So I get it. Please, relax a bit. No need to abate your rage. I'll be back," Liu Xueyi assured her, trying to keep her emotions in check.

She parted her lips to speak but Liu Xueyi was fast. Unhooking his seat belt, he leaned in, his hands holding her face and head as he pressed a tender kiss to her lips, silencing Andromeda the way he knew best.

She stiffened the second warm lips pressed against hers. And like a memory eraser, Andromeda felt her rage slowly dissipating with every second that ticked by, like a swerving passage of time.

Liu Xueyi broke the kiss, his lips still lingering close to hers. He opened his eyes, blue shimmering ones, staring right into his.

"You'll be all right."

With that he opened the car door and exited, leaving Andromeda alone to battle with the myriad of emotions in her.

Walking briskly over to the car, Liu Xueyi robbed both hands together, his eyes glancing around briefly to make sure where they were was safe.

His feet came to a stop just close to the car's bonnet, his eyes glancing at the opened engine and the man trying only God knows what on it.
