CHAPTER 402

Andromeda was devastated by what happened in Liu Xueyi's office. Slowly she paced, her mind completely out of it as thoughts continued to run through her mind.

She had to admit, if he had said he would not call her, she would not have been bothered but he said he would.

Although she knew nothing concerning the matter, nor the genesis of the situation, she was too confused about what to do.

Stopping midway in her office, she combed her hair with her fingers, dropping her hand by her side.

If she could slump to the floor, she would readily do it but anyone entering her office would at once know something was wrong.

After much thinking and being unable to figure out what it was that she could do other than trust and hope her judgement would not be wrong.

However, she had no plans of sitting still and leaving Liu Xueyi to himself. Whatever was going on, she planned on finding it out.

Right now, her hope in finding out about Liu Xueyi's past was his friends.

While the others were far from her, she had one in the same building she was in.

"Xu Fang."

Like a light in the dark, a ray of hope, she found her strength and immediately turned in the direction of the door as she made her way out of her office.

As for Liu Xueyi, he had his world and mind turned upside down thanks to Zheng Ying's impromptu visit. Not only was he left with the possibility of being a father, but now he was on the verge of losing the one he loved.

He did not want any of that to happen, but things were not simple. He needed to know and understand it quickly so he could sit Andromeda down and explain it to her.

"I need someone's advice. I feel like my head is about to explode."

With his lamentation, he soon found himself sitting across from his best friend who since their discussion began to fall silent and assessed the situation.

This was an action he did not like with Xu Fang. The silence was killing him as so many thoughts disrupted his mind.

His feet continued to shake, tapping lightly on the floor.

"Stop it, you are ruining my concentration," Xu Fang pointed out.

Placing both hands on the table in front of him, Liu Xueyi pushed forward on his seat and complained, "And you are about to make me go mad with your silence. Say something already."

Xu Fang released a sigh.

His friend was a mess just looking at him. He understood what was wrong but they could not deny the truth.

"Calm…" He had barely gotten those words from his lips when Liu Xueyi glared at him, silently daring the latter to speak those words.

"Okay do not calm down but to tackle any difficult situation, think of it like a battlefield and you are losing as a general. You need to find a solution, a way to defeat the enemy or else you and your squad lose your lives."

"This is not a battleground."

"I said think, damn it!" Xu Fang pinched the space between his brows and shook his head. "You are impossible when you are tense. Please, listen to me."

It took some minutes but eventually, Liu Xueyi relaxed against his chair and crossed his legs. "Calm enough?"

'Whatever just do you," Xu Fang brushed off. I bet Chaoxiang would be happy to send you to the hospital when you collapse or something."

"That's not your job at least. So focus now and help me."

"Boss brat," Xu Fang muttered while putting on a cool smile.

"I heard but I shall let it pass."

"Anyways, from the look of things, it would be a good thing to hear her out. And just so you know I am not saying to take her in as your woman. Hear what she has to say."

"And the boy?"

"He is sick I presume. Perhaps she is here for money. Do not forget your identity as Ye Yuan is out. Everyone knows your net worth now."

Liu Xueyi carefully pondered on the words said. After some time, he nodded. "Perhaps that is the case. But why not say it outrightly?"

"Women, most of them do not want to come off as cheap and would play games in other to do so."

"Zheng Ying wasn't like that."

"Thank heavens you mentioned wasn't. It's the past. People change."

"I didn't," Liu Xueyi defended while throwing reasoning out.

"Didn't you? You used to think she would be the one you would marry back then. You loved her and even after she left when we would tell you someone else would come, you denied it and said no girl would ever take your heart. She is the only one for you. Look at you now."

He pressed his lips together. There was no denying that from his friend. It happened.

"Not only is Zheng Ying no longer in your heart, but you are also head over heels for someone else. You changed, Xueyi but for the better."

Arguing was useless. All he could do was nod in defeat. All Xu Fang said was true.

"You need to calm down. Have you spoken to Andromeda?"

"No. That's another hard part, Andromeda walked in remember and saw Zheng Ying."

"That's true. But you need some love now perhaps. Anyways, I would say do not ruin your current relationship for your past one."

"I won't."

"Good. You may have to go see Andromeda before you call Zheng Ying."

"Why?"

"From what I have gathered, Andromeda seems to be quite understanding compared to most girls. Help her understand. You are a couple now."

Just then a knock came on Xu Fang's door. He did not think too much and granted entry into his office.

Both men were about to continue their conversation when Andromeda stepped in and her eyes landed on the duo.

For a moment there, all three had the same expression on their faces. Shocked and at a loss for what to do.

Andromeda broke out of the awkward situation quickly. She apologized and turned on her heels to leave.

"Andy, wait."
