"Okay. Thank you. I understand. I will do that. Is the CEO in as well?"

"He is not. Neither of them is in," Peng Xiaoli explained with a smile.
"Okay, it may have been a business meeting or something. Thank you both for your time. I will put a call through to her later in the day."

He bade them goodbye and excused himself.
Once he was sure he had covered a long distance away from them, he took a pause and cast a side glance at the office once more.

Picking his phone from his pocket, he dialled a number and placed the phone on his ear.

"Do a proper check for me on Andromeda's activities from last week till today."

"Call me once you forward everything to my email."
"Right on it, sir."
He ended the call abruptly and made his way over to the elevator.

Jian Xiaofei's lips dropped as she stared wide-eyed at the lady before her.
This was the first time since she and Peng Xiaoli started working with Andromeda together to see her this smitten by a man—any man for that matter.
Understanding the meaning behind the stare Jain Xiaofei gave her, Peng Xiaoli blushed furiously.

She did not give Jian Xiaofei the opportunity to contend with her when she turned on her heels ready to walk away.
"And oh," she took a pause as a unique smile glistened in her eyes. "And then you need to make sure you finish the work."

"You can sit still after everything that is going on?" Su Mei challenged.
Instead of yielding to her squirm and speaking back at her in the same angry tone, her husband turned his head to the side and picked up the television remote.
To her dismay he turned the television volume up, drowning out her voice.
Her lips fell open at the insult. Not only did he not acknowledge her as she had thought, but he also increased the volume."

She was taken aback by his reply, much so due to the fact that he looked extremely calm while dishing out those words to her.

Veins popped at the side of her forehead and neck from the endless insults he threw at her but knowing her husband, it was better when he was hot-headed than to cross him when he was calm.
