CHAPTER 37

The days seemed to pass by quickly and soon it was Friday. Just as he had told her, Liu Xueyi did not bother with her reshuffling of the designers and making things to fit her taste.

However, he never said he would not get information. fr eewebnovel.com

Seated in his chair, the young master of the Liu Corporation leaned back into his chair with both elbows resting on the arms of the chair and his hands raised in front of his face, forming a triangle.

His stern gaze peered at the man standing in front of his desk, but no words fell out pf his mouth.

"That is all, sir. She had restructured things beautifully and though it has just been two days, one can see the great change in things."

"Interesting. Is there any other thing I should know? In terms of temperament and stuff?"

"Her temperament is good. Although she ensure those ladies were sacked, it wasn't due to her rage but for the good of the company," the young man responded calmly.

"Be it for her rage or not. It was high time they left, don't you think?"

"Yes sir. Has there been any trouble?" Li Xueyi asked again. This time around he leaned out of his seat and placed both hands on his table.

"No sir. Everyone is very well behaved. It is like she placed a leash on them and as much as they fear her, they respect her."

"Good. And the work environment, what do you think about it? Conducive?"

"Very. At first, we all feared she would be a bully or a tyrant due to her position but that is not it. She is lively and her spirit encourages for better productive, taking off that dread but still keeping them on their toes."

"Thank you. As far as I am concerned, she is doing well. Do your best to assist her but do not give yourself away."

"Got it, sir." He bowed his head and walked away, leaving Liu Xueyi to his thoughts.

Once he was alone, he opened his laptop and navigated around a bit until he landed himself on her email. He placed his cursor on the designs she sent, taking his time to go over them once more.

That day, he had been so tired of thinking of ways to get in touch with top designers and have one of them work for him or even do a collaboration.

That was also his reason for travelling. Aside from his major meeting, he took a detour to Paris to meet with an old friend.

*Flashback*

"You know why I have come Yucheng. What do you have for me?" Liu Xueyi asked. His face bore no smile as he gazed ahead at the man seated opposite of him.

"Hmm," the man in question remained quiet for some time, dangling his raised leg as his eyes narrowed. "You asked this of me within a short time frame."

"I know and I apologize. I am planning to launch a new line and it would be grand if I can get one of these designers to do the honours. Of course, we would pay well."

"I know. I searched, especially from the best graduates the top university for fashion have here and I narrowed my search to the 10 that graduated within these 5 years."

"Okay, so what do you have for me?"

"Hold your horses, Xueyi." He put down his leg, spread them apart and picked up a cigarette. "Care for?"

"No, thanks." Yucheng shrugged and proceeded to light the cigarette before bringing it up to his mouth. He sucked in enough smoke and pressed his lips together, slowly releasing it.

The white small misty cloud it formed made him chuckle as he peeled his gaze back to his friend.

"It teaches you patience."

"You know I do not have that much time. The launch is in a month's time max."

"I know. Anyways, from those ten people, I narrowed it down to the best and their designs over the years. I found two. One from China and the other a Newyorker. The problem is, the one from China, her designs stopped ever since she left Paris."

"What?"

"Yes. But through search, I found something similar."

"I see. Where has this person from China been hiding since? How come I do not know about her? With such remarkable talent. She could even work for Buckingham Palace or other royals or own her own line."

"That is left for you to find out. However, all I have is her insignia. A.K.A. or Akay. These initials she leaves at the end of her designs. However, Beatrice Zhang is a person having similar talents. I find it fishy."

"I see. Or did she perhaps change her name or something?"

"I doubt. What does she stand to gain by doing that? She could be famous with this talent."

"Okay. I get you."

"Yes. Find the one with those initials and I can guarantee you, you have yourself your lead."

"Thank you so much. I would have Chaoxiang find her. If someone can, he definitely would be the one."

*Flashback Ends*

His gaze dropped lazily to the end of the picture he was viewing and his lips pulled back a bit, revealing a nice smirk.

'I left to find you but you were close by and I never knew. Too bad Wu Bai was blind.'

Meanwhile, she had the event coming up and she needed to review designs, make some ouches to old ones and send them to Liu Xieyi. freew(e)bnovel.com

Her day had begun stressful and now that she had her lunch break she decided to sketch something out.

She lifted her head slowly, and a wide smile formed around her lips as they pulled back, revealing her nice set of teeth.

Her eyes twinkled as she gaze at the roaring phoenix design she had crafted into her sketch.

"Hmm, you seem to be missing something," she turned her head from side to side, searching for the missing piece until she found it. "Ah! And now for the final touch." Her hands went to work and she smiled.

Her gaze landed on her trademark, her insignia to spell her designs. Not many knew of this and since she had been on a low key those in her city were oblivious.

It was also one of the reasons why she used a different email. The only thing she did not know was that he had an idea of who she was but not her real person.

"One step in. Time to scan for more."
