CHAPTER 347 – Celebration
Right after the judge's verdict, people gave their congratulations to Andromeda and those involved, of which Liu Xueyi was freed of all the charges made against Liu Xueyi.
By the time Wu Bai and Beatrice Zhang were being taken away, they stopped briefly and glared at Andromeda but not before she gave a retort of her own.
She could not be bothered by the likes of them to be honest. What occupied her heart was the sweet desire and epic trace of beauty surrounding her at her win.
Indeed her hope for revenge did not go in vain.
All those she needed to go down met with their end. She knew the fine Wu Bai and Beatrice were billed for and their jail sentence would serve as a lesson not just to them but even to her stepmother.
Thanks to Mr. Liu Jinchen who had his assistant investigate the matter, they could tie the bribery down to Fang Mei but Wu Bai was stupid enough to trust her good-for-nothing stepmother for things to work in his favour.
"Shall we?" Andromeda whipped her head to the side wearing a pronounced smile of satisfaction on her face.
"Xueyi."
"You did well," Liu Xueyi praised her.
"Thank you. As did you."
"I did nothing. You on the other hand didn't let your emotions control you entirely. There is progress."
"Noted. Thanks but I think now we should be in the mood for celebration and not scolding or lecturing."
"We learn every day and this was a good opportunity. You are growing. You have improved and although this was a bad incident, I am glad he left you and you could pick yourself up."
Her some broadened as she took a step forward, placing both hands in front of her.
"I am proud of you, Andy but you must know, we have only crushed the bedrock. Other opponents would come your way."
"And when they do, I will be ready."
"That is the spirit. Now let's go."
Even if his words were calmer, more calculating, and precise, she was happy he praised her even if it was just a little.

BANG!
The big mahogany door smashed hard against the frame as the angry steps of a lady echoed in the living room as she stormed further inside.
Attorney Longwei dropped her bag on her sofa and brushed through her hair with her fingers while shutting her eyes involuntarily.
She had met disgrace and defeat today and she could not deny it was not affecting her.
"Aarrgh!" She dropped her hands forcefully and turned around with her eyes scanning the environment for anything.
Finally, her eyes landed on that paper stacked up on her centre table and she pushed them off, venting her anger away.
Not satisfied she moved over to her dining table and threw the things there away while yelling continuously.
"Aishh! Andromeda Kai! How dare you embarrass me this way and make me lose face before everyone and become a laughing stock. Damn you, bitch!"
Although she knew her clients were to blame for her sad loss considering she knew later on they were bad but having taken up a case, both bad and good, she always supported them and tried her best to win.
Now though, she went against a stronger for and she knew it.
Throwing her head back, Attorney Longwei let out a peal of hearty laughter, pressing her right hand to her stomach as she let her sorrow go and laughed at herself.
"Sweet. The painful taste of defeat, so delicious," she licked her lips and hysterically laughed.
"Ahh, so refreshing. Stupid Fang Mei. Does she think that by doing so to Beatrice and Wu Bai she would go Scot-free? Hehhee, I look forward to the news I would hear later. For now, I shall drink this bitterness away and stand strong."
Taking the first step forward, she sauntered towards her wine cellar and took out a bottle of alcoholic wine and a glass cup.
"Let's celebrate!"

Having moved from the court, Liu Xueyi ordered a celebration to be held at his home.
With the help of some of his family's servants, they got the place ready for the celebration, and the food was prepared just in time for Andromeda's surprise.
Her eyes washed over the living room and the celebration decoration, meals and drinks before her.
"Xueyi," her lips hung open. He did not need her to say it before understanding what she meant.
"I already knew we would win. I had faith, Andy. So I asked that a celebration be prepared in advance," he explained to her.
She pressed her lips together, holding in the scream that threatened to break forth, so as not to scare the others.
This was the first time he was letting people who weren't his gang have access to his home but it was a special occasion.
There was a need for some exceptions.
And by exceptions, Andromeda and the others were surprised when they heard a squeal with eight persons walking out from the different places in the house to the living room.
"What?"
"Surprise!" Liu Xueyi announced in a high-pitched tone, shocking the life of Andromeda who still found it hard to take in the I initial shock.
"What is going on?" She questioned after catching her breath.
"I asked my friends to come to join in the celebration," he informed.
Her eyes twinkled and she took the first step inside, leaving Liu Xueyi at the back.
"Andromeda, Lawyer Chang, Jian Xiaofei, Peng Xiaoli meet the gang," he introduced, gesturing towards his friends.
"Xu Fang, Hong Chaoxiang, Ring Bolin, Tang Yan, and Chu Fengjin, meet our little team."
Everyone waved at each other before he introduced the final trio.
"Meet Eu-meh, Xiao Xin my sister, and my cousin Chao Xing. Everyone here made one contribution or the other to this investigation and case. And so I am happy to celebrate the victory we gained."
As if on cue everyone stole glances at each other and then Xiao Xin called out sharply.
"One, two, three...."
"Congratulations Andromeda!!!"
