CHAPTER 339 - A Promise
There was no room for arguing with Liu Xueyi. He did not make it an option most times and now was one of those such times.
Andromeda Kai, the woman of his dreams and the lover of his heart, soul and mind.
Words could not describe what she meant to him – more than the growing lilies beautifying the garden.
More than the sun in the clear-cut sky shining and magnifying the earth.
More than life and creation itself.
He had found his soulmate and to him, that mattered most of all.
His kiss did not last as long as the first did nor was it slow, yet wonderful, forgiving and accepting and he was sure enough to imprint his name on her lips when he pulled back.
"Xueyi."
"Better, love. Say my name instead."
Her eyes glistened with tears as his face began to blur out before her very eyes. She knew she did not deserve him- this love.
No, buts he wished above all things to have him and she wanted nothing more other than a chance to prove it so.
"I'm so sorry, Xueyi. I am so very sorry for what I did," Andromeda apologized quickly before he got the chance to hush her again with his endearing kiss.
He let out a sigh. His black eyes twinkled under the fluorescent light in the room.
"You are stubborn, woman."
"I really am. I was overcome with rage and…"
"You simply let your emotions get the best of you and I understand. I do not fault you for that. Many would have done the same if they were in your shoes."
'Many," she lowered her head, "but not you. You would never do that."
"How sure can you be?" He questioned, still wearing his smile.
"I know so. It is you. You have everything figured out and under control."
'Not everything Andy. I did not see this happening."
"Well, you still managed to hold in your emotions, whereas I, on the other hand, let it out and allowed myself to be played by my enemies."
"Good."
"Huh?" she lifted her eyes to meet his. Confusion laced in those pretty blue eyes of hers.
She had thought he did not blame her but the manner in which he said that 'good' made her think twice.
Sat once, Liu Xueyi sensed her misperception and thought to clarify for her. "My love, I am not faulting, still. I am glad you understand where you went wrong."
"Oh."
"Yes. You do but I know you love me and you hate them to the core for all they did to you. It is very much justifiable if you ask me. So, I do not blame you. It is all good."
"Forgive me, still," she said, lowering her head.
She still blamed herself for ruining things irrespective of what he or anyone said.
"You really are silly, you know that, right?"
"At least I am not a girl," Andromeda defended, masking her hurt with a smile.
"Do not pretend before me, love. Smile from your heart and not that fake thing you are giving me," he pointed to her face.
"Aye. Would you hold me and hug me? I want cuddles," Andromeda made her request giving a small pout. "Pat my head too."
"Hahhaa, you just want to be a baby, right?"
"Am I not your baby? Your love, your sweetheart, your…"
At first, he smiled watching her act cute for him but when she continued mentioning all that she was to him, he forgot his plan of wanting to starve her of his cuddles and pets to make her keep pouting.
All plans were ruined in his mind when he leaned down once more, holding her chin in place as he dove right into her mouth with his tongue and kissed her sweetly.
Having been invaded once more, Andromeda let her eyelashes flutter to a close as she lifted her drip-free hand and circled it around his neck.
She pulled him down on her, letting his upper body crush her with his weight.
A soft sigh f satisfaction fell off her lips at that moment.
Nothing could have prepared her more for the mishap that had happened but the fact cuffs bound him, she was glad and grateful.
For that reason, she wished to be with him like this. And had she not been in the hospital, she would have wished it had gone further.
Her fear had eaten far into her heart when things escalated in her disfavour.
Never would she have been alone to handle things, especially seeing him, an innocent man suffering for wrong crimes.
Breathing through her nostrils, she angled her head properly and searched for his tongue with hers, hoping to tame it.
Shocked by her actions, Liu Xueyi allowed her to get what she wanted and to his further surprise, Andromeda played with his tongue before controlling the tempo of their kiss.
A bit faster than he had intended considering her health.
Without further ado, he pulled back and gazed into her special blue eyes, to find them fueled with desire and love.
He understood fast that her pain had caused her fear which triggered her emotions for a big time and her passion drove her actions.
She was insecure, right now. Too scared to lose him.
But now was not the right time for such. Not here at least. Besides, he planned on avoiding that aspect for a while, for her sake.
Nonetheless, the pleading look in her eyes made him want to chuckle.
She was his weakness. However, he got strength from the desire to protect her and love her.
"Not today, baby. We have more pressing matters to handle."
She puffed her cheeks and blinked adorably at him.
"It is a hospital, silly. Anyone can walk in. And the doctor gave clear instructions to let you rest. You had a panic attack. Now that is not what you need what you desire for."
"But."
"No. Some desires are wrongly timed. Like now. Stop being scared, you won't lose me, I promise you."
"Promise?"
"Promise, my love. I promise you."
