CHAPTER 338
Liu Xueyi moved first, before the other members of their teams followed suit, heading for the first doctor that came out.
"Mr Liu," the doctor began while trying his best to give him a calm smile.
"Yes, Doctor?" Liu Xueyi asked, his impatience growing by the second.
"She is fine. Safe."
As soon as those words fell out of his lips, Liu Xueyi exhaled sharply followed by several sighs of relief the others gave as well.
A simple smile appeared on the Doctor's lips once more as he nodded. "She had a panic attack, Mr Liu."
"But she is stable now?"
"Yes. I think everything became too overwhelming for her at the court since you said she fainted there."
"Yes, she did. It happened after things went downhill."
"I understand. Her brain found it hard to accept certain situations. And fear as well can be another cause," he pointed out.
"I understand. When can I go in and see her?" Liu Xueyi questioned almost too eagerly than he had wished to let out but he did not bother about it.
She was his girlfriend, his woman and his lover. Her protection was his foremost responsibility.
"She is resting now. She cannot see everyone but I think I can make an exception and let you see her now. After which you need to let her rest. Her brain needs it."
"Sure."
"You can go in, Mr Liu. We will wait here till your return," Lawyer Chang assured him.
"Yes, sir. Please send our good wishes to her on our behalf," Jian Xiaofei added.
They all wore worry on their faces as they waited for him to approve their request first.
Nodding his head, Liu Xueyi gave a weak smile and he was off.
The moment he found himself in the ward, he was met with a weak glance from Andromeda and immediately he hurried over to her side.
"Andy, oh goodness, thank God you are okay," he said coming to take a seat on her bed while keeping his eyes on her face.
He saw a flash of pain, sadness, embarrassment and guilt all plastered on her face and spilt in her eyes as she tried her best to avoid his piercing gaze.
"Look at me, love," Liu Xueyi's deep voice resonated in her ears.
He was not ready to have her beat herself up because of a few mistakes. Still, she refused to obey.
To Liu Xueyi's surprise, a tear fell from her right eye, followed by another drop from her left eye. Before he knew what was happening, tears began to flow down her pretty face as a low whimper fell off her lips.
It broke his heart to see her like that but for once, he saw how she tasted defeat and he could not do anything to stop it.
He became vulnerable before the judge and got implicated.
That happened but he wasn't mad and did not know why she was crying. He understood it all quite well.
Leaning in, Liu Xueyi hooked his finger underneath her chin and turned her face properly so she was looking at him.
At first, she planned on keeping her gaze away but when she felt his face come closer, she was tempted to find solace in those black orbs that always seemed to drown her whenever she stared too deeply.
Right now, all she needed and wanted to do was be drowned in his eyes, however, Liu Xueyi had different plans for her.
Moving his head closer, he pressed his lips on hers gently, quickly tasting the salty taste of her tears as he brushed his tongue on her lips in a sensual manner, leaving her stunned by his actions.
For the first time since they first kissed, Andromeda ultimately became confused by his action.
Why he licked her lips in such a soft babylike manner baffled her.
Still, she remained still and waited for what was to come next.
It wasn't until he pulled away a little that she got to understand when his eyes met with hers that he did not wish for her to cry again.
"Cry no more. I do not want even your tears tainting your lips. They should always be sweet."
She did not know whether to laugh or cry at his remark but she did not have much of a choice as he gave her none of those options and resumed from where he had stopped.
This time, however, he pushed past her lips and teeth and made his way into her mouth to tame her soft warm tongue.
Caught off guard by his gentleness and his sweet caress, Andromeda was immediately lost in the kiss, returning it the way he gave her that she had forgotten how sad she was and embraced the comfort he gave with that kiss.
They spent the next few minutes gently making out in a way that ate her whole and made her whole all at once.
It was difficult for Andromeda to comprehend the feeling–like a warm blanket on a cold winter night.
As lovely as it was, everything had an end and so did this.
Breaking the kiss, Liu Xueyi licked his bottom lip first while keeping his intent gaze on her lips and slowly worked his way to her eyes.
Her blue divine beauty.
"I am not mad at you," Liu Xueyi affirmed.
It was like he knew exactly what went on in her mind and instantly she was thrown back into a state he had just managed to bring her out of.
Her eyes welled up as they spilt their contents relentlessly down her pretty face.
"Andy," he called her name in a sweeter manner than he had done before, his own heart, breaking from seeing her in tears.
"My love, please."
"I'm sorry," Andromeda managed to let out before letting her agony overshadow her.
"Did I do something wrong with the kiss?" He was forced to ask when he saw her crying only worsened by the second.
"No," she said between tears. "I–I Just realized that I may not have seen you now and be together like this. My recklessness almost got you jailed and I…"
"Silly girl."
Once more he captured her lips in a slow kiss, silencing all of her protests till she melted into his mouth.
