CHAPTER 319 – Dinner: Interfering with the Past
"At the very least while you all chop your heads off, the main couple who began this whole thing found their groove and appetite back," Liu Xiao Xin commented.
She peeled her gaze off Liu Xueyi and Andromeda, bringing it over to her family members. "Whereas you all can't do that."
The ladies smiled at the couples but for the men… sigh!
"Cousin Chao, listen to grandpa and the others. They have seen more in life and trust me every woman loves a man who would be true to her and treat her right. Sex isn't about everything."
"Spoken like a true Liu Princess," Liu Houyi complimented. "Now back to the main story, shall we?"
By now, Zhi Zihan had her face flushed from what they discussed. At first, it was about her and then it escalated.
While she was happy to have the attention taken away, having her husband bring it back made her this way.
"Well, since then we have been and we officially started dating at fifteen. Got married at twenty-four and had Jinchen when she was twenty-six. I am proud to have been with her my whole life. No joy can compare to the one being with her brings."
With a smile on his face, she cast a loving gaze at his wife, admiring the older lady who to date was the most beautiful woman in his eyes and placed a kiss on her lips.
"Thank you, Zihan darling, for giving me this family."
Her eyes glossed taking in the sight before her. Who was she to complain?
She had money, she had a husband who loved her, sons she adored, daughters-in-law that never gave her a headache and grandchildren whom she loved so dearly.
Her life, to some, may be boring being with only one man, but to her, she was blessed and it was more than she could have asked for.
He hugged her, pressing his lips on her head as he shut his eyes to live in the moment.
Several gasps and sounds fell off the lips of most of them. Truly their marriage was a blessing and an inspiration.
"Now, let's not take the shone away from them now shall we," Mrs. Liu Jialing called out. As loving as the older couples were, it was about Liu Xueyi and Andromeda.
"Andromeda darling, this is my family. I hope that in time, I can proudly call you one too."
"Thank you, Mrs Liu."
"It's all good. You can call me mum if you like, dear."
"Okay. Thanks for having me everyone and I am so glad about this dinner. This is something I have missed for quite some time and it means a lot to me."
"Anytime dear. It is an honour hosting such a talent as well," Mrs. Liu added.
"Okay mum, that's enough for making her blush. That is my duty," Liu Xueyi intervened quickly before Andromeda became as red as a tomato.
"And what about when you shower praises on my wife?" Liu Jinchen scoffed. "Do I stop you?"
"You can't old man. She is mine too."
"Tsk, Jialing, look at that. He has the mouth to talk and wants to share what belongs to me," Liu Jinchen complained.
"Do not mind him. He is being such a baby," she said with a wink to her husband.
"Okay, while we are at it, I think this dinner was to get to know Andromeda more, right?" Liu Chao suddenly voiced.
Several heads nodded in support of his words. That was the main goal but it seemed like they had not been given such an adequate opportunity and stage.
A smug smile spilt from Liu Chao's lips to his eyes. He was not happy about how the family turned him into the black sheep and made Liu Xueyi the white adored sheep of the family.
If he couldn't get a stain on his cousin, he planned on doing so with his girlfriend so everyone said she wasn't perfect and he made the wrong choice in choosing her.
"Tell me, Andromeda Kai, right?"
"Yes<" she responded calmly. She could tell something was about to go wrong but she was not bothered.
This wasn't because she had Liu Xueyi and could not stand up for herself. No. Scratch that.
She could. It was because she was tired of people seeing her as fragile and if he meant war, she was going to give it to him.
"What is it? Ask what you want and stop behaving suspiciously," Liu Xueyi warned silently.
With those few words of his, he declared his silent intentions should his cousin not be mindful of his words.
"Ease up, big cousin. I only wish to clarify something or in this case, know more."
"Then out with it," Liu Houyi ordered impatiently.
Everyone knew he was up to something but as to what, they could not say. Only the planner and his plans knew what he had in mind.
However, one other person was ready, studying his every move and action to determine which direction he was going to play.
She wasn't the cunning Liu Princess for nothing. One thing she failed to know though, was that Andromeda was no weak pushover either.
She expected a comeback after seeing the way the Liu Family praised the others over him.
'This is it. He would use me for his revenge. Now it is up to me to make sure Liu Xueyi doesn't pick an offence and play this nice and slow.' Andromeda carefully outlined in her mind.
"Fine. Andromeda, there was news that went up about you back then, maybe three to four months back."
"All right. What news?"
"One of you standing your fiancé up at the altar on the day of your wedding."
The dining room fell silent instantly and for the next fifteen seconds, time seemed to have stopped as they all stared at him before averting their gaze from him to her.
"Is that true or not?"
