CHAPTER 297
This was another quick-changing area he used whenever he did not have time to run into the hotel and take off his disguise and wanted to be free from fans.
Thankfully it came in handy at the right time.
Both of them spent the next couple of minutes catching their breath while ensuring the fans were nowhere in sight.
A sharp breath cut out of her lips and when she gazed back up, she was met with an intense gaze from his piercing blue eyes.
Quickly she tore her eyes away, completely abashed by the sudden interest and sweet look he gave her.
For some reason Andromeda was shocked that her heart reacted that way as it thudded wildly in her chest.
She had never looked at him in such a way before but having him do that, she was reminded of Liu Xueyi.
To her perhaps that was the reason why her heart reacted that way.
"Hey," his slightly deeper voice than Liu Xueyi's own called out to her.
Hearing that, her brain dismissed every nonsense thought she may have had before.
'There is no way he looks like my Xueyi. Perhaps in body structure.' Andromeda thought to herself as her eyes raked over the upper part of his body.
"Andromeda?"
Shocked, her eyes went wide briefly before bringing her eyes back to his. "Huh?"
An embarrassed smile washed over her face at being caught. It was one thing to admire someone and it was another to be caught doing it.
Right now, she felt like one of his fans and it annoyed her.
The last thing she wanted him to think about was that she was no different from them and the words the weird fan said were valid because they weren't.
She was one who was contented with the love of the one who loved her back.
And so long as she had Liu Xueyi's love with her, nothing else mattered.
It was that hard to catch her fantasy once her heart had been locked.
"It's okay. You can stare if you want," Ye Yuan teased. "I won't be charging you. Staring is free," he mused and gave her one of his model-like poses.
Instantly, Andromeda burst into a peal of laughter at his act. It was both cute and funny.
"What? Am I not handsome and charming enough?" He questioned, giving her a quick wink.
"Sure," she nodded at him. "You are but as I said, I am not one of your crazy ass fans."
"Ouch, that hurt," he pressed a hand to his chest and winced.
"Sure enough, hahaa."
Both of them ended up having another round of laughter.
They spent the next five minutes talking about trivial things and reminiscing about the ordeal they had just gone through.
At this point, Andromeda was glad she pointed in the direction of where her co-workers were.
Now she was not bothered about whether or not they got their delivery as she was sure they did.
The only reason she waited was to get the drink she ordered from the set and set out to look for Liu Xueyi.
And now, she was having fun for real.
Suddenly her smile dwindled as her eyes glistened with tears. Although she tried to hide it, Ye Yuan saw it and immediately his concern was piqued.
"Hey, what is wrong?"
"Nothing," Andromeda denied quickly.
She was already feeling bad about the fact that she should have been having fun with Liu Xueyi but here she was, doing so with another guy.
Her conscience pricked her for it and she felt bad.
At this point, all she wanted was to meet him, hug him and hold him in her arms.
"Are you sure?" He pried and took a step closer.
"Yeah," Andromeda replied quickly.
Ignoring his next attempt to question her, she walked past him, ready to exit the small hiding place they were in when she felt his big hands wrapped around hers and pulled her back.
Not expecting the sudden attack, Andromeda missed her step, causing her to fall forward and straight into his arms.
Due to the fact that he acted on impulse, wanting to ensure she was all right, Ye Yuan lost his footing as well, sending both of them right on the ground, with her on top of him.
Her eyes remained shut for a couple of seconds as her heart and brain took in the shock of everything that had happened to her.
Reaching for her face, he brushed the hair away from her face and asked, "Andromeda, are you all right?"
Rather than a favourable reply, a low groan escaped her lips as her eyes pried open to look at him.
Looking at her from this angle made Ye Yuan's heart warm up.
Heaven knew he had been dying to hold her close to him since he saw her that morning and only now could he.
Forgetting himself, he slid his hand up her back slowly while locking eyes with Andromeda.
And from the position they were in, Andromeda could feel his heartbeat race in his chest just like hers did.
Whether or not it was a result of their fall or the weirdness of the position they were in, she could not tell.
Even she at this moment found it hard to distinguish between the two. All she knew, she found comfort in his arms.
Staring into his eyes brought her warmth and a sense of safe haven. Slowly she began to get lost in his dreamy eyes, as did he.
Before Andromeda knew what was happening, she saw him pull his head a bit closer to hers, shocking her with the knowledge of the kind of position they were in.
Quickly she snapped her head to the side and coughed out loud.
"Are you okay?" Ye Yuan inquired quickly. "I'm sorry for pulling you like that."
"Yeah," she cleared her throat and made to get up but found his arms still securely locked behind her.
Her brows furrowed as she shot him a quizzical look. "Um, do you mind, please? I need to get up. This is inappropriate."
For a second his lips remained parted as he gazed into her annoyed expression.
The way her once cute and loving face changed into this shocked him but then again when he recalled that he wasn't with her as Liu Xueyi an apologetic smile appeared on his face.
"Oh yes," he stated, more embarrassed than she had thought and he released his hold on her.
They both got up on their feet. Andromeda wasted no time and dust her body, completely ignoring him.
"My apologies. I should have been more careful and not pulled you that way. Please forgive me," Liu Xueyi apologized once more.
She lifted her eyes and gave him a stern look. After a few heartbeats, her eyes closed briefly. Opening them the anger that was laced in her eyes was completely gone.
"Fine. I would but please do not let it repeat itself anymore."
"Sure. You have my word."
Satisfied by his reply, she turned on her heels and made her way out.
His eyes lit up into a satisfied smile as he watched her figure leave the small space. He had not intended to test her but somehow, things went that way and she passed.
He could not describe the feelings and emotions going on in his mind at that moment.
All he knew was the fact that he had inexplicable joy at the moment.
He could not wait to be done with his shooting and go back to her as the man she knew him as.
When he stepped out of their little hideout, Ye Yuan was reminded of the fact that he refused to disclose his secret identity to her.
He was one who could handle his crazy fans but she, on the other hand, would be seen as a threat and just who knows what nonsense would befall her.
Tired, he let his shoulders slouch and lifted his hand to block the sharp rays of the sun from entering his eyes.
And when he looked at his side, she was surprisingly still there.
"What took you so long?" Andromeda inquired.
"Sorry, I just had to make sure I didn't break a bone or two when I fell. You know with you on me and stuff."
Her eyes flared wide open in shock. "What! Are you indirectly calling me heavy?"
"I never said so."
"But you insinuated so."
"Nope. You did," Ye Yuan shrugged while trying so hard to hold in his laughter.
"You just said…"
"Forget what I said. I am starving. Come let us have lunch."
"Nah I am good."
GRRRHHH!
As soon as the words fell off her lips her stomach grumbled in response. It protested at her lack of conscience for it.
His smile warmed her eyes while trying to hold in every form of laughter so as not to embarrass her.
"Sigh, I guess I would take you on your offer. After that, I need to be on my way."
