However, Liu Xueyi was a man who hated to lose so much. And as much as his next verdict did not surprise Gu Jun, it annoyed Andromeda.
"Get your bag, we are leaving."
"What?"
Tilting her head back, Andromeda peered at his face, hoping to see any sign of him joking but all she saw was a cold expression.
"Xueyi…"
"Let's go, Andy."
Still, he kept his eyes focused on Gu Jun and ignored her. The thought of him doing so and not having the guts to look at her got into Andy and she pulled away from his hand.
Taking a couple of steps to the side, Andromeda's steeled her expression as she folded her hands in front of her chest.
The look in her eyes showed her annoyance as she focused her attention on Liu Xueyi, waiting for him to take a turn in her direction.
Just as she had wanted, he moved his head to the side. Instantly Andromeda saw his brows furrow further at her.
However, the stern look he gave to Gu Jun was different from what he gave her as his eyes softened at her.
For a moment there, her resolve was about to crumble watching his eyes. However, when she thought about the fact that Gu Jun needed her, she held her stand strong.
This was just him being jealous when her thoughts and mind were clear.
Besides, if she agreed to go with him, she was sure he would most likely repeat such actions in the future.
If they were going to be in this relationship, she wished he gave her the benefit of the doubt and trust her.
"Andy."
"I am sorry, Xueyi, but I am having lunch with a friend that needs me."
"Don't I need you too?" Liu Xueyi countered quickly.
"You said I should go home and…"
"This isn't home," he retorted.
"I know. However, no one said I cannot go out."
"I want to be with you."
"But you need to pack up and prepare for your trip."
Feeling the exhaustion of having to handle both men on her, Andromeda's shoulders drooped as she took closer steps in his direction.
She reached up for his face and gently caressed his cheek. "You shouldn't get jealous over seeing me with someone," Andromeda began. "My heart would always be yours. Nevertheless, I can still have friends."
"Just do not touch them."
"Jelly beans. You can't stop me this way, you know. You are only going to make me feel ca…"
Before she got the chance to complete her words, he cut her off with a kiss and wrapped his hand back on her waist, ignoring the audience they had.
On the high side, Gu Jun did not mind his actions. If there was anything, he was glad that Andromeda had someone who loved her and was willing to get angry because of her.
Even so, he would not tolerate anyone having full control over her life and caging her.

Breaking the kiss, Andromeda called out softly, "Xueyi…"
But when her eyes met with that usual mischievous glint in his eyes, she puffed out her cheeks at him.
"Let's go home. I want you."
"I am sorry. My stand remains. I won't be leaving. You can go on without me. Besides, we would see tomorrow morning."
Liu Xueyi felt a stab in his heart from having her refuse him still. At this point, it was not about control to him.
The more he left her alone made him want to spend more time with her and the thought that for days he was not going to see her made it even harder for him.
He felt his pride get hurt. Never had he been in such a situation and lost before.
Closing his eyes, Liu Xueyi reopened them and with it, he released Andromeda. "Fine, as you wish. I won't bother you."
At first, she had expected him to refuse still but seeing him agree without a fight or having him drag her with him, made her happy and instead of showing such joy, Andromeda's face fell.
She could see a flash of pain in his eyes at having lost. The next moment, Liu Xueyi turned around.
"Xueyi."
Ignoring whatever words, she had to say to him, he made his way out of the restaurant, leaving her to do what she pleased.
Right then and there, he hardened his heart to whatever she was going to do and drove off.
Judging from the look in her eyes, as her gaze followed Liu Xueyi's car until he was out of sight, Gu Jun felt his chest tighten and his breathing stilled for some seconds.
He hated anything that brought tears to her eyes and of course, it was nice that she remained with him the day before his trip.
Usually, he would have been in support of Liu Xueyi right after their banter. On the other hand, considering she wished to make her voice count, he refrained from doing such and helping her.
"Hey bestie, come and have your seat. I know you are sad."
"I..." Andromeda's eyes closed briefly. Upon opening them, she managed to mask her sadness and wore a face of smiles once more.
"Hey, you do not have to be tough in front of me, you know."
"I know. However, I need to put my ideas out there too. You need me. What kind of friend would I be if I cannot be here for you?"
"But he is the one you love," Gu Jun reasoned as he drew the chair out to take his seat.
Gesturing for her to do the same, he continued. "He wanted you to be with him. And I can say you hurt his pride."
"He shouldn't fight this. Had you been someone else, I may have left and followed him. However, it is you. You have always been there for me. It is only natural I would do the same."
