CHAPTER 284
Immediately Liu Xueyi left the office, he rushed over with Xu Fang to get some little supplies for what he needed.
Thanks to the fact that he had already placed his orders, going there was easy as he picked up the items and left.
However, before leaving, he decided to get something from the restaurant close by and then headed home.
All the while he kept on thinking about rushing to pack his things and complete some documents, he left at home just so he could spend the night and surprise Andromeda.
Taking a few steps into the restaurant, Liu Xueyi swept a glance around before bringing his gaze back to the counter.
Suddenly his brows creased and his eyes squinted a bit as his head titled to the side.
He had not fully registered the faces of the people present; however, he recognized that hair anywhere.
Not wanting to leave room for doubts, he turned his head to the side and just like as he had thought, he found Andromeda seating with someone.
"Andy?"
"I told her to go home and rest. She never listens," Liu Xueyi sighed and took a turn to his side.
He had only turned around when the expression on Andromeda's face changed and she reached out to rub someone's hand.
Instantly the smile on his face dropped as he watched the scene unfold before him, forcing him to stop dead in his tracks.
For the next few seconds, Liu Xueyi watched Andromeda show care to another man and his heart could barely take it.
'She is… No. There must be an explanation for this. She wouldn't do something bad behind my back. But even knowing this, my heart is pained.' He confessed internally.
Seeing that she refused to let go of the person's hand, he took a step forward, balling his hands at his side and walked over to them.
"Care to tell me what is going on here?"
The second Andromeda heard the familiar voice, she lifted her eyes slightly past Gu Jun's head only to see Liu Xueyi standing in front of her.
A quick gasp fell off her lips as she straightened her back and called out his name. "Xueyi."
Cold eyes met hers as he waited for her to do the one thing, he needed to be done the most.
After a few heartbeats though, Andromeda still did not get the clue and smiled brightly at him.
As if on cue, Gu Jun pulled his hand away from hers and rose to his feet quickly. He was a guy and he very much understood what that heated gaze meant.
Pulling her gaze away from Liu Xueyi, Andromeda let her worried eyes settle on Gu Jun for a moment before rising to her feet as well. "Gu Jun."
One look at her lost puppy's eyes and Gu Jun could see her confusion. Sigh.
At times how dense she was to the feelings of a man made him wonder if she was still the very same brainy girl he knew.
"Andromeda," Liu Xueyi's called out less calmly than before.
He did not want to get angry over anything and the fact that she was with someone else rather than being by his side, the way she stood there as though nothing was wrong, made his heart clench.
"Xueyi, what are you doing here?" Andromeda asked, managing to clear her voice and speak normally.
"I should be asking you the same thing. What is my girlfriend doing here with some other guy I barely know, holding hands intimately?"
"Pff," a small laugh fell off her lips at that moment. It was at this point she realized why he was gloomy.
Of course, he was jealous no doubt but she found it cute nonetheless.
"Excuse me?"
"Come."
That simple order was all he wanted. He wished to prove to whoever it was that she was his and only he had the right to be held by her in such a manner.
"Why?"
"Cause, I said so. I would take you home."
"I am sorry. I cannot leave now. I am with a friend." Just to emphasize her point, she averted her eyes to Gu Jun and smiled. "It is Gu Jun, my best friend."
At the same time, Gu Jun turned around so he stood face to face with Liu Xueyi. Unlike Andromeda he did not wear the same smile on his face to greet Liu Xueyi.
However, he was not abrash like Xie Tian. And although he loved to banter with Liu Xueyi on who got Andromeda's attention, now wasn't the time.
To make matters worse, he was angry Liu Xueyi was butting in on their outing.
His chest rose and fell, releasing a sharp breath as he reached out with his hand, offering a handshake.
"Hello, Liu Xueyi. Nice meeting you once more."
A few seconds passed and there was nothing. No words from Liu Xueyi. All he did was give Gu Jun a cold stare.
"Xueyi this is…"
Andromeda's words immediately got stuck in her throat when he took a step forward, passing Gu Jun and ignoring his handshake to stand by her side.
Not giving either of them any time to react, Liu Xueyi wrapped a hand around Andromeda's waist and pulled her body closer to his.
In as much as Andromeda could not fully grasp what he was doing, the cuteness in those shocked eyes of hers warmed Liu Xueyi's cold heart.
"Xueyi…"
"You shouldn't go about touching guys that way, Andy," Liu Xueyi's indifferent voice resounded to their earing.
He did not care what Gu Jun thought but he wanted to make a point known to him. "She is mine."
Letting his hand drop to his side, Gu Jun placed a leg in front of the other as he dipped his right hand into his trousers pocket while turning, facing Andromeda.
"And she is my best friend."
To Andromeda's surprise, what ought to have turned into something calm and normal, had both men refusing to back down as each one had his own thoughts on going and no one wanted to lose to the other.
"Get your bag, we are leaving."
"What?"
