Thankfully the call was put on speaker, saving Liu Xueyi from the terror his mother unleashed.
Both Xu Fang and Liu Xueyi cringed a little at her yell. To worsen matters, she did not give them time to get out of the shock when her voice rang out once more.
"What the heck is the meaning of that, Xueyi?"
"Mum, calm down."
"I cannot be calm!" she hollered at him. "Do you take me for a joke or something?"
"You know I would never do that, mum. This is serious."
"Serious?!"
"Mum, something urgent came up."
"And that is more important than family?"
No. However, it is hard to meet with the resort's director. He requested a meeting on Wednesday."
"Have it pushed," Mrs. Liu finalized.
"Mum, this is also important to the new project dad and I are working on for the company. I need to meet with him and from there check on the company's mini vacation for the workers."
"Hmm."
"I am sorry mum. I forgot when we spoke about the dinner. I just got reminded about my trip today."
Due to the reason, he gave, Mrs Liu found it hard to scold him. At the very least not until she heard from her husband first.
Left to her, she wanted him to push whatever activity he had till the next day and push for the dinner as planned.
A part of her felt he was not being honest with her and wanted to avoid the dinner.
"Mum, I can attest to it, this is important. We can push the dinner till after his return," Xu Fang chipped in quickly before his mother got any funny ideas.
"I do not know what to say. Till next week is a pretty far time, you know."
"I know and I am sorry. Instead of rushing things and I have her come alone, it wouldn't be good and the …"
"Hell no! I would not even allow it. Fine. Go for your trip. I will halt preparations until next week. And you better fix yourself before then. There would be no room for excuses."
"Got it, mum. I would ensure things go smoothly."
"So when are you shifting it to?"
"I cannot say. Do not worry, when I return from the trip, I shall inform you on time."
"Okay. I would take your word for it. My regards to your girlfriend. And Xu Fang, take care of yourself and Xueyi for me."
"Definitely mum. We will."
"Bye."

Both men released a deep sigh as soon as the call ended. Not waiting a moment, Xu Fang shot him a warning glare.
"Better fix it up. I do not know how you would hide this from Andromeda. Your family, perhaps but this is your girlfriend and someone you want to spend your life with."
"I know. However, I do not want her to live that celebrity life too much. So many eyes would be on her. Just from the fashion world, she already has enemies. I do not want to add mine to it."
"I do not think she would mind. All you have to do is protect her better. I just hope this secrecy does not build distrust between you two."
"I hope so too. All right, please, I will leave the details of the accommodation and trip for you to handle. It would be slated for Friday till Sunday at noon, please."
"No worries. I can do this. Now focus on how to tell Andromeda."
He got to his feet, nodded at Liu Xueyi, and then took his leave. He had played his part. Any other action was left for his friend to handle.

Following the plans, she mapped out for herself, Andromeda hastened on the work she had to do.
By the time she was done, she decided to check in on Liu Xueyi first before she left her office when her phone buzzed on the table.
She picked up the device and checked her notifications only to notice a message coming in from Gu Jun.
Quickly she unlocked her phone to view the message that came and smiled.
"Hey, how are you doing? What do you say we grab lunch after work? I have news for you." Andromeda read out.
The sound of talking to him about the troubles and problems they faced was always an excellent way for her to unwind.
Thankfully it was not a drinking situation as she would have been forced to decline, completely.
"Hmm, this is sad, I have an outing with Liu Xueyi. It would have been nice if we met up, though."
Seeing as her schedule had been booked, she began to type her reply when his call came in.
Andromeda let out a deep sigh and answered his call. "Hello Jun. How are you?"
"I am fine. Afternoon. How is work?"
"Same old. Nothing much. Yours?"
"As usual. Although, I have good news for you," he voiced happily.
"Hahaha, this is nice. Okay, tell me."
"No. I want to see the look on your face when I break the news to you," Gu Jun informed.
"I can't. Not today or tomorrow even. I have an outing with Xueyi."
"Ohh… I see. So, your boss is taking more precedence in your life than I am."
"Nope. Not like that."
"Then how?"
"I just… fine. I know I haven't called you to inform you and I guess now is the best time to do that."
Gu Jun's eyes narrowed while trying so hard to figure out where she was getting at. "What have you been hiding from me, Andromeda?"
"Promise not to be mad at me first."
"I promise. Now spill."
"Fine. I… well Xueyi and I are dating."
"Huh, I thought everyone already knew that," Gu Jun let out with a small laugh.
Her mouth curved upwards in a smile as she raked her fingers through her hair and leaned back against the chair she sat on. "No. What I mean is, officially."

For some seconds, Gu Jun's lips remained wide open as his eyes remained unblinking while staring at her. "You've got to be kidding me."
"Nope. It is official."
"Oh my God. Andromeda!!"
