Lifting his eyes, Liu Xueyi snapped his head towards the door and instantly the words he was so impatient to say finally fell out of his mouth.
"Enter."
The door pushed open slightly as Xu Fang stepped in and shut it behind him. There was no time to bother playing as he took long strides into the office and stood in front of his friend.
"Now tell me, what is going on with you?"
"I am having a clash."
'Wait, do not tell me you and Andromeda have begun fighting just only how long into your relationship."
At that moment Liu Xueyi who was about speaking had his lips hanging in defeat.
Although that was not the problem with the manner in which Xu Fang stated his thoughts, still to Xueyi it meant he was at fault for all of the issues he and Andromeda had till now.
Yes, their dating only began officially, he could not deny that it had been one argument after another and most times due to a misunderstanding.
Drawing out a long breath, Liu Xueyi brought both hands in front of his face, forming a simple pyramid with his elbows supported by the armrest of his chair.
"What?" Xu Fang questioned. He did not like the eyes Liu Xueyi gave him.
He was the guilty one here who had probably hurt his girlfriend, yet he was making Xu Fang feel like a criminal.
"Nothing."
"Nothing?"
"Yes. If that is the case, are you trying to tell me you have made Andromeda cry?" Liu Xueyi remained silent and let his eyes do the answering.
"Ah! I said it," Xu Fang said, throwing his hands in the air. "You do not know the first thing about being a gentleman," he added and pulled back a chair to take his seat.
"Tell me about it."
"What have you done this time?" Xu Fang asked as he leaned back against the chair, crossing his right leg over his right with his right hand on his chin. "I am interested."
"Nothing though. Nothing is wrong with us. But we did have problems before but all sorted as well."
"You sure are naughty making such a talented, intelligent, beautiful and nice lady angry. Sus… Tsk, you need scolding."
"Definitely not from you," Liu Xueyi retorted. "Not from you and Rong Bolin. The others maybe."
"Hey, what is that supposed to mean?!" Xu Fang hollered at him.
"I did not stutter. You heard me. I wonder if you two know how to treat a lady better than I do."
"Tsk, you would just be surprised we do so way better than you. I feel my pride has been hurt," Xu Fang fumed playfully and crossed both hands in front of his chest.
"You mean the pride you have as a playboy or…?"
"You never know when to stop, do you?"
"And so do you? Besides, if I did, then I wouldn't be Liu Xueyi the first-hand troublemaker."
"Tah. You said that wrong. You are a bully. Tsk."
A few seconds passed and both men burst out a peal of sound laughter. Since Xu Fang's arrival, they had not had much time in the office, aside from the time on Sunday.
This was fun for them.
"I missed you, bro," Xu Fang confessed.
"I did too. Anyways, that was not why I called you here," Liu Xueyi informed as his face turned serious suddenly.
"Sure. Let's hear it."
"I need to travel to Sterling's City for shooting as Ye Yuan."
Xu Fang nodded and waited patiently to hear where the whole discussion was going.
"Before then, I have a dinner date with Andromeda at home. Mum wants to meet her."

Xu Fang's eyes widened with excitement. To him, that spelt a big step in a relationship when one was willing to introduce his girlfriend to the family.
"Wow! You are hitting the marriage way soon bro."
"Sure, but probably not too soon. I do not want to rush her."
"Is that it or you are considering."
"I am considering nothing, Xu Fang. The love I have for her is different. I would love to spend my life with her."
"Good then. I am happy for you. You fell hard even with your cold exterior and tried to push girls away. I almost never thought I would never see this day happen."
"Yeah, I wasn't expecting it but each time I saw her, I really wanted to hold her close and protect her, care for her and take care of her. My heart always skipped. I love her, everything about her even though I get jealous when she subconsciously indulges other guys."
"You have no right to complain. You guys weren't officially dating then."
"I know. I know. But I was jealous. And you know me, I never show that but for her, it felt like my emotions were all over the place. I don't want to lose her."
"And you won't. I trust Andromeda Kai. She is a loyal girl. Just do not make her ever regret opening her heart to you."
"Thanks. I won't take her for granted."
"So, what is the problem you are having? Is it dinner or the shoot?"
"Actually, both. I am having both. Dinner is slated for Wednesday. The trip for the shoot is on Wednesday as well. I do not know what to tell mum. She called just before you came and I am sure it has something to do with the dinner."
"Alright."
"And you know what the bigger problem is? I can't just give an excuse and leave. Father would figure something out. That man is always on to me."
"Yeah, it is a miracle you have retained both identities till now under his scrutinized gaze," Xu Fang agreed.
"True. TO cancel such an important family dinner, I need the best excuse to come up with. Cause it involves both my family and Andy now."
Tapping on his chin, Xu Fang gazed up at the ceiling thoughtfully and said, "I see. You really are in a pinch here. And the funny thing is both are important aspects of your life. Family and the work you love the most. Hmm."
"So, any advice?"
