"That is the truth and luckily she overheard him and his mistress speaking about it when they thought she passed out. That could have been rape," Liu Xueyi interjected.
"But it wasn't," Lawyer Chang countered. "He was going to but didn't. He cannot be charged for rape nor trespassing as they were both together after their bachelorette party."
Liu Xueyi exhaled sharply, while his brain processed the whole idea from a different point of view.
"Besides, she stated he didn't," Lawyer Chang pushed forward.
"He didn't, does not mean he did not do wrong, you know."
"Mr. Liu, in a court of law, we cannot sue him for such. Besides, the video that leaked out, you personally ruined it."
"What? What did I do wrong? Why am I the one being accused?"
"You see, when you came online and declared yourself as the person in the video and that it was a passionate lover's session, you spoilt the evidence."
Liu Xueyi had his lips slightly parted at the new piece of information.
Back then when the video was leaked out, he did not overthink as he was both happy with finding the girl he had been looking for and was concerned about keeping her image pure.
Who would have thought that a matter he used to help Andromeda would pose a big problem later on?
"How do you propose to use that now?" Lawyer Chang inquired, throwing every one of them out of their thoughts.
"I..." Indeed, the situation had rendered Liu Xueyi speechless. He needed to think.
No one wanted a case where they could not present a piece of good evidence to bring Beatrice and Wu Bai down for all they had done.
"I do not think all hope is completely lost, to be honest," Tang Yan chipped in, earning himself several hopeful stares.
"You see, the second piece of evidence is strong enough to hold them. Although we cannot prove that most of their top designs came from Andromeda, we can sure as hell hold them tightly with this."
"If only we can get a hold of her sketches. Or if your insignia had somehow been attached to them. Like..."
"I am sorry, Lawyer Chang, Beatrice Zhang is too tricky. She would cover it up. And I mostly used Akay for my personal designs. That itself won't be good evidence against them."
As if on cue, Andromeda and Liu Xueyi heaved a deep sigh.
Liu Xueyi was tempted to use that video as well. And even if it went on air that she was drugged, the thought of risking it came to him.
But then again, as much as Wu Bai would be exposed for his crimes, the same could be said for his friends.
Casting a side glance at Tang Yan, he breathed out sharply once more. That was the night they had drugged him and he went into her room.
In truth should that video be brought out as a piece of evidence, so many people would go down for it and the only person who should go unscathed but won't would be Andromeda.
First, Wu Bai and Beatrice would be checked, Xu Fang and Rong Bolin would be charged for drugging him and the others would be charged as accomplices.
Then to crown it all up, he would go in for it for sleeping with Andromeda and perhaps be dismissed with a light punishment.
In the end, the truth about how Andromeda was used would be out in the open. Left to Liu Xueyi, if he did not care about himself, there was no problem but Andromeda was his main priority and the company.
"Fine. I am glad that we have the evidence she acquired. We can start with that. Then the case of slandering, that can be worked out," Liu Xueyi appraised.
"Sure. It is a good start," Lawyer Chang said with a nod. "Do not worry, Miss Kai, I will ensure you get good compensation for what was done to you."
"Thanks. But honestly, I want them down. I gave him a chance to drop it all but he declined. I want his love taken away from him."
"We would see what we can do. Also, he slandered Starlight apparel, claiming your designs for the company were stolen. Now with both, it would be hard to escape what is coming for him," Tang Yan informed.
"Good then. Thank you so much, Lawyer Chang, Tang Yan and you too, Liu Xueyi."
"Nothing to be thankful for. No one harms you or ruins your image and goes scot-free. I am sure if we dig deeper, we would find out more shady things he has done. Besides, it's business as well."
Nodding her head, Andromeda leaned forward and picked up one of the glasses of juice on her table. "To victory," she said and lifted her glass up.

While they had a good plan in motion, Liu Xueyi had another bigger problem in his neck.
Up till that moment, he was yet to introduce Andromeda to the Liu Family properly. Knowing his mother, he was sure she could not hold it any longer.
Either he brought her home or she was going to seek her out.
Taking a slight turn to his left, Liu Xueyi combed his fingers through his hair as he heaved a deep sigh. "Mum."
"Do not use that on me, Liu Xueyi. It had been a long time since I heard you started dating your creative director."
"Yeah, and news surely fly out."
"Xueyi!"
"Mother, not now. I am busy."
"Busy? Do you check the news? Or social media? Wait, no. Because if you do, you would notice the efforts I have made in taking down stupid articles about you and your said girlfriend."
Listening to the secret actions his mother had taken on his behalf, Liu Xueyi was rendered speechless before her.
"Mum," he muttered after some time.
He had forced his brain to think of any such posts online that he had not seen but recalling times where he was seen with Andromeda outside, his eyes relaxed in realization.
"You cannot defend yourself now, huh?"
