Left with no other choice, Fu Chu Hua sighed with her shoulders slumping in defeat.
"Hahaha…" He could no longer contain his thoughts and laughed at the scene of their shocked faces replaying in his mind.
All of a sudden, his eyes widened as a thought struck home. "Wait."
Fu Chu Hua furrowed her forehead at his instant disturbance. But when he did not say anything the crease on her forehead straightened out a bit before her brows moved up in sync.
"What?"
"What if leaving them be, they are basking in their love? What if my absence is giving them more chance to continue instead of fixing up and…"
Ignoring his loud thoughts, he lifted his head with his determined eyes glistening under the light in the vicinity.
"I am going to check."
"What?"
Quickly her brain worked and she reacted swiftly, latching her hands on his hand as she pulled him back.
Surprised by her response, Tang Yan shut his eyes as he gave her the best innocent smile. "I just want to remind them and nothing more. You should be a good girl and let go."
"I can't."
"Why?"
"It isn't right."
"Sigh. You do not get it," he said opening his eyes and turning to face her.
"I do. I trust Miss Kai."
"I can trust her; it is that friend of mine I do… no. I said that wrong," he stated and placed his free hand on his chin, thoughtfully.
"I do not trust Andromeda. I trust Liu Xueyi instead," Tang Yan stated with conviction.
"Huh? What logic is that?"
"I mean that in a good way. I don't trust she would not give in to my friend. And I trust my friend to be naughty enough. You, Chu Hua, you have a naughty boss."
She lowered her head in defeat. What could she say? Although he wasn't this way necessarily, she had never seen him with anyone.
He wasn't the type of boss that had flings and flirted with girls. Even if he had flings, he never brought them to work.
But from his character, she knew better. Yet, she was happy he was dating Andromeda.
Their chemistry and love were ones she admired. They were beautiful, handsome and talented individuals.
"Anyways, I guess you fear Liu Xueyi too much. Gosh, what has he been doing to you?" Tang Yan muttered under his breath.
Sadly, she heard him quite well. Just thinking of how his cold gaze worked and the indifferent air in him, made her shudder in fear.
No. She liked what Andromeda had made him like. This side of him was better. Much better than when he had no one in his life.
Shaking her head, she rid her mind of those thoughts quickly. "I shouldn't be speaking about my boss this way," she scolded herself.
"Sigh. Relax. Do not worry, I will take all the blame for you."
Snapping her head up, Fu Chu Hua asked with tears glistening in her eyes, "You would?!"
"Sure. You are a good secretary. After all, it was my fault. Now, I better call that…"
Ring! Ring!
Together both of them whipped their heads in the direction of the telephone ringing on her desk.
"You see, you can let me go now and answer the call. I bet that is him. You do not want to keep him waiting, now do you?"
She shook her head. "Good girl. Do not worry, I would behave."
Getting his word, she let his arm go and picked up the call with trembling hands. "Hello."
"Send him in."
"Yes sir."
Beep! Beep!
Putting the telephone back down, Fu Chu Hua nodded at Tang Yan. "He is expecting you."
"Sure. Thanks."
Without further ado, he made his way to the office and this time knocked loudly, and waited for a few minutes before opening the door.
The last thing he needed to see was a repetition of his friend's escapades.
Getting inside, a smile that warned his eyes flashed on his face as he lowered his head a bit before Andromeda.
"My sincerest apologies, Miss Kai. Forgive my wrong behaviour."
After what happened before and how he laughed at Liu Xueyi, Andromeda did not know what to expect from his friends anymore.
But having Tang Yan put in the best smile he could muster with such inconvenience, helped Andromeda breathe with ease.
"Apologies accepted. I am sorry as well."
"No need to be." He shifted his gaze back to Liu Xueyi who by now had nothing but glares shooting out of his eyes at him. "Still sad I ruined your good time?"
He clenched his fist on the table, visibly for both of them to see. He wasn't happy Tang Yan got off easily and yes what he said was true. He ruined his good time.
Still, Liu Xueyi did not want to give him satisfaction. "Keep dreaming. Just know I will repay you."
The wicked smile glistening in his eyes gave off the worst kind of vibe any of his friends knew.
When he got this way, there was nothing good coming for them. Simply put he was like a wolf in sheep's clothing.
"I am sure Miss Kai wouldn't allow that, eight, Andromeda?"
Returning his smile, Andromeda pinched Liu Xueyi's back. She had only known him for a short time, but still, she could guess what he could do to them. And after Xu Fang's she ended up pitying those who crossed him.
"Right."
"You see. Besides if you had behaved well, and recalled we had a meeting, then I wouldn't have been..."
"Now, back to business," Andromeda interjected quickly. She knew better than anyone that if she let this go on, neither of them would end the discussion.
