CHAPTER 254 – To the Rescue
'Let's not waste time with a dipstick as smart as bait and leave.'
The words replayed in Gao Yuemi's head severally. This was the first-time people insulted her without fearing her family name when she used it.
As the only princess of the Gao family, her parents did anything for her. To make matters worse, she had cousins who were ever ready to deal with anyone who tried to hurt her.
It was why she felt she could tramp about on anyone that messed with her.
Although, in a normal situation, she was usually well-behaved, which was the very reason why Mrs Liu loved her.
However, ever since she knew of Andromeda and Liu Xueyi's supposed relationship, she became bitchier about things.
Before returning to the country, she did her personal research on Andromeda and the Kai family.
Although her father was an affluent businessman, his position in terms so money wasn't compared to the Liu family.
To make matters worse for Andromeda, she had not been on good terms with her father for years and rumour had it that the son of his second wife, Kai Chen seemed to be highly favoured by Kia Beifang.
Using that information to her advantage, she felt Andromeda had nothing but to rely on Liu Xueyi. And if that were the case, she could also plead her case with Liu Xueyi and deal with her.
Without waiting for her to retaliate, Andromeda glanced at Xiao Xin. The young princess remained glued in her spot with a clenched jaw as she stared daggers at Gao Yuemi.
From what she had known about her, she assumed she did not want to blow this issue up and involve her brother.
And personally, Andromeda did not want that too. She did not wish to rely on Liu Xueyi for everything, especially handling someone like her.
"Xiao Xin, I hope when next we meet, it will be without someone who has a few beers short of a six-pack."
Liu Xiao Xin giggled lightly as she nodded in understanding. "Sure. I can't parade a one fry short of a happy meal. See you and hopefully at where we met last time."
She dipped her head in acknowledgement of what Liu Xiao Xin said. It simply meant the latter wished they would meet at the car racing stadium once more.
With that, she took a side step and walked past the two ladies.
Following her, Peng Xiaoli and Jian Xiaofei briskly walked up to her side as the three took their leave.
"Damn you, Andromeda Kai," Gao Yuemi said through gritted teeth.
This whole thing was a mess to her and an insult beyond words. There was no way she could let it just end that way without getting back at her but at this point, she could not win either with words.
Especially having the two loyal friends besides Andromeda.
Howbeit, whether Andromeda had them or her mouth was sharper, Gao Yuemi decided to take it all to another level.
She knew she could not lean on Liu Xiao Xin for help on this. Ever since she caught feelings for Liu Xueyi, it had always been the direct opposite. She never supported her.
'I would take matters into my hands and make haste while the sun shines.'
On the other hand, Andromeda and the others ignored whatever thoughts that may run through Gao Yuemi's mind and changed the topic of discussion into something much more fun.
Little did they know that the plans brewing in Gao Yuemi's plan was something that needed to be watchful about.
She cast a quick glance to her side and noticed Liu Xiao Xin deep in whatever thoughts she had her mind in.
Taking hold of the opportunity, she rushed forwards after Andromeda as fast as her feet could carry her
Seeing something flash past her, Liu Xiao Xin looked at her side to see Gao Yuemi only to realize that the latter had scurried off.
"Oh no."
She turned in the direction she saw the shadow flash past. At the same time, she saw the impending scene about to take place and her heart skipped a beat.
"Andromeda!" Liu Xiao Xin called out.
Before Andromeda could turn and react to the warning, she felt a strong pull on her hair as Gao Yuemi yanked her hair back with force.
"Aaaahhh!"
Both Peng Xiaoli and Jian Xiaofei turned around immediately only to see Gao Yuemi pulling so hard on Andromeda's hair.
"This loser," Jian Xiaofei scoffed and lounged at the two of them. Doing the same, Peng Xiaoli rushed toward the duo as they tried to break both parties free.
This was a mall and not a place to cause such a scene.
Had it been a different setting, they would not be trying to separate but actually beating Gao Yuemi for hurting Andromeda.
"Let her go," Liu Xiao Xin commanded while pulling on Gao Yuemi's shirt.
"Stop it this instant, Gao Yuemi. Stop behaving like a lunatic," Peng Xiaoli scolded and slammed her fist on one of Gao Yuemi's hands.
Luckily her attack freed Andromeda a bit, but one hand clutched tighter to her hair.
Taking hold of the opportunity of having one of her hands-off hair, Andromeda gritted in pain as she turned her teeth and dug her nails straight into Gao Yuemi's hand on her hair.
"Aahh!"
With how much she cried, Andromeda refused to let go. Seeing her cry out, Liu Xiao Xin and Jian Xiaofei tugged on her hand and pulled her away from Andromeda.
The whole incident had caught Andromeda off guard and before she knew it, she was thrown back and missed a step.
"Oh, God. Watch out!" Peng Xiaoli half yelled with both hands stretched out as she watched the scene unfold with little or nothing she could do.
Staggering back after having her hair almost pulled out was already one trouble Andromeda had to deal with, but when she missed a step due to how wobbly her legs felt and fell backwards, all she had were curses in her mind.
'I'll definitely make you pay for this, Gao Yuemi.'
Just when she felt her problem couldn't get any worse, she fell back with nothing to hold on to.
Howbeit, rather than hitting her head on the ground, Andromeda felt her body slam into something hard as a pair of strong hands caught her.
