CHAPTER 252
"Ouch!"
The sound of a feminine voice in pain rang out loud, sending fear down the heart of Andromeda.
However, it wasn't just because of that she cringed but the all too familiar voice of the person who yelled out.
And as she found her footing, her eyes landed on the lady she had assaulted.
'You have got to be kidding me.' Andromeda mentally noted in her mind.
"Gao Yuemi."
"Andromeda Kai!"
Both ladies called out their names almost at the same time to the shock of their companions present.
At first, her brows drew close as she knew the very definition of this girl spoilt out trouble. However, she was the one who was in the wrong and fixing it up would be the best course of action and not fighting.
Drawing in a long breath, Andromeda lowered her head and apologized quickly. "My sincerest apologies. I missed my step and caused you harm. Forgive me."
She wasted no time and lifted her head right after while wearing the best apologetic smile she could conjure on her lips.
Without saying anything, Andromeda diverted her gaze to Liu Xiao Xin who till now remained mute and watched all that was going on.
To be precise, Andromeda was the last person she thought she would run into ever since her last encounter with her and Xie Tian.
She had found the situation embarrassing enough. Although not for Andromeda but herself.
The man she had her eyes set on, had his own eyes fixed on her and did not batter his eyelids at her but fought with her brother over Andromeda.
If she said her pride wasn't hurt then indeed, she was lying.
"Hello, Xiao Xin," Andromeda greeted with a smile. "Fancy meeting you here," she added.
Returning her smile, Xiao Xin responded, "Hi, Andromeda. It's been a while."
"Yeah, ever since that day," she widened her eyes and raised her brows to emphasize her point. "But oh well. Things happen."
"True." She lifted her left hand and pointed at the bags with Andromeda. "You came shopping huh."
"Yeah. I thought I should try out some new things," a subtle smile formed on her lips as she let out a wink. "I honestly did not know you were still in the country. We would have hung out a bit more than the few times we have met."
"Yeah. I have just been indoors these days. You know, you haven't visited mum yet."
"That is true. He hasn't brought me to her yet. He has been busy."
"Well, being the CEO of Liu Corporation is not an easy task. And my dad always exhausts him with work. He is preparing him for the future as the chairman of the company, so he says."
Both ladies burst out in low laughter, stunning the others watching.
While they were busy having a good time, Gao Yuemi on the other hand wasn't having a happy time.
"Huh, I haven't accepted your apology, Andromeda. Shouldn't you wait to get that first before happy chatting away?" Gao Yuemi asked while crossing her arms in front of her chest.
From where Peng Xiaoli and Jian Xiaofei stood, they could see the other lady had it in for Andromeda and was not happy about being ignored.
But being in the wrong, they decided to swallow it, so long as Gao Yuemi did not push her luck too far.
Andromeda may be the calm and reserved one, but they weren't. Peng Xiaoli mostly wasn't.
She hated wealthy heiresses who boasted and behaved rudely because of the affluence of their families.
Tilting her head to the side, Andromeda held onto her bags properly and asked, "Excuse me?"
"You are not excused. As a matter of fact, I am not happy with your apology, Andromeda."
"Is that so?" Andromeda questioned before turning her body completely to face her. "Then forgive me, I do not know how else to apologize to you Gao Yuemi. If it was your outfit I ruined, I would be happy to replace them but I hit you."
She took another step closer to her and with an acerbic smirk, she added, "So do you want me replacing your head? Perhaps I hit you too hard and a few screws got loose."
Peng Xiaoli and Jian Xiaofei who had kept quiet since could not hold in the laughter that threatened to burst freely.
In the end, not only them but Liu Xiao Xin giggled as well. It was a funny question and honestly, who knows, perhaps she did have a few screws loose.
Seeing how the whole situation turned around and Andromeda got the last laugh, Gao Yuemi let her hands drop to her side as she rolled her eyes at them.
"Ha, ha, funny. Laugh all you want. But apologize or you will compensate me."
'Is it that you were deaf or you do not understand common English, Miss Gao?" Peng Xiaoli questioned from where she stood.
Together she and Jian Xiaofei walked over to where she was and raised their questioning brows at her.
"I wonder because everyone here heard her apologize sincerely. However, you just want trouble to get noticed," Jian Xiaofei added.
"What?"
"Yes."
"Or are you deaf as well?" Peng Xiaoli chipped in.
"I am not speaking to you two, wannabe bodyguards. Andromeda has her lips. Let her speak for herself."
"She did and yet your brain failed to function properly and catch what she meant," Jian Xiaofei retorted.
Letting out a scoff, Jian Xiaofei added, "So forgive us if we thought helping you out would be much better."
"Besides, she is way above your level to exchange words with her."
"How dare you nuisance dare speak to me?" Gao Yuemi fumed.
"I told you, manners or you be down on your knees apologizing, Miss Gao," Jian Xiaofei threatened to everyone's dismay.
All eyes went wide as the young lady standing before them uttered words that they wondered if she was very much capable of handling.
But knowing her, Andromeda was sure she was not going to say things she could not do or without any strong backing.
However, rather than get the others involved in this mess further, she took another step closer to Gao Yuemi while exuding an imposing aura and charm.
"What do you want from me?"
