CHAPTER 25

By the time the men watching Andromeda could no longer see her, they all stopped following her and retreated to where their meeting point was.

"Boss, we lost her," one of the men wearing blacks informed.

"I see. I would inform the Big Boss of this development," the muscular man replied as he dipped his hand into his pocket to get his phone.

He tapped away on his phone and then placed it on his ear.

The three men waiting all lowered their heads when they heard the calm yet dangerous alluring voice of a lady from the other end of the phone.

"Big Boss, Good afternoon," the muscular man greeted.

"FJ," her calm voice called out.

"Boss."

"What business did you call me for today?"

"We came across the young miss after losing her before."

"Okay. What was she up to?" the lady asked with little to no interest in her tone.

"She came shopping in the veggies market with a man."

"Ah, I see the little bitch has picked up another gigolo after that useless thwart. Alright, if that is all, then I would be hanging up."

"That was not all," he interrupted her quickly.

"Oh… Is there more? You know I despise boring information," she once again, lazily reminded him.

"I do. However, while we watched her, we saw her chase after someone. The look on her face was something that caught our attention and we chased too."

Her eyes flung open and her breathing too dropped. "Tell me. Who was it?"

"We do not know exactly but…"

"But what? FJ? Talk to me. Tell me!"

"We went after her, shortly after the Young Miss lost her. We have her captured." His gaze moved, causing him to turn midway as he did one more check at his catch.

He nodded at his men before giving them a thumbs up. "Big Boss?"

"Yes?"

"What should we do? Should we drop her off somewhere and let her go or do you want to have a good look at her?"

"Fine. Send her to the warehouse. Do not let any loopholes occur and keep this properly hidden."

"Yes, Big Boss. We will. You can count on us," he assured her.

"Alright. Let me know when it is done," she ordered.

"Yes, Boss."

The ended the call and kept his phone back. Waving his hand, FJ urged his people to move it as they left.

Meanwhile, Wu Bai had done all he could to get in contact with Andromeda and anytime e he used a different number, she blocked the line.

In the end, she just stopped answering any calls in general. By now, her lawyer had come to see him but he refused to give in, pressuring that Andromeda had no right to leave him.

While she was out thinking of her life and things to do, Wu Bai was the one suffering from it.

They were going to have a new line of clothes due for the first week of the next month but now, she called things off before she submitted her designs.

He was fuming with rage when at the thought of how things were going.

BEEP! BEEP!

He tried her number again but it was the same response. It was busy. "Urrgh!"

In anger, he picked up the glass of wine on his table and threw it against the wall in rage. His hand balled into a fist at his side while the other clenched tighter on his phone.

"Andromeeeeddaaaaaa!"

His eyes narrowed as his brain thought of ways to get past this phase but he could not find anything. Finally, someone spoke.

"Sir, even without her, I believe the fashion show can still go on."

"Really? How?" He kept his back to the lady that spoke. As much as he did not need disturbance, he recalled he had company.

"We have come up with designs that can help with the event."

"Let me see," Wu Bai hurriedly stated, motioning for the person to bring it over.

Quickly, a lady in her late twenties rushed up to his side and handed him a file holding several sketches.

He spent the next two minutes going over them one after the other, hoping to see something that would elevate his spirit.

"What are you all useful for?!" Wu Bai thundered as he turned around on his heels, glaring at the men and women lined up in front of him.

"Is this what I am paying you all for? Rubbish designs?!"

They shuddered in fear when he flung the file in their faces, sending the designs scattering everywhere.

"Do you think we remain on top of the food chain? On top of the fashion world with crippled designs such as these?"

"Sir…"

"SHUT UP!" He hollered at the first lady. She too lowered her head, feeling ashamed by his rage.

His chest rose, even more, and his breathing became unsteady as his eyes burned with fury. "How dare you? So you mean to say, without Andromeda Kai, all of you are useless?"

"No sir."

"Then what is the meaning of this? Have you no brain? No motivation or what?" He asked again, looking sternly at all of them.

"We…"

"Silence! When I speak you are not to talk back. No excuses. You and your time and you failed. I think the best thing is to replace you all."

They whipped their heads up quickly as they chorused, "Sir…" Quickly they got on their knees, ready to apologise when his phone's ringtone rang out.

Letting out a deep sigh, Wu Bai averted his gaze to his phone, only to see the caller. "The lawyer."

Wasting no time, he answered the call and spoke. "Hello. Lawyer…"

"I will be direct Mr Wu," the lawyer interjected. "Miss Andromeda has threatened to file a restraining order against you and to sue you in court if you delay the termination of her contract with your company."

"What?"

"Yes. Please refrain from contacting her further. All conversations you need to say to my client should be done through me. She wished not to speak with you. Kindly respect it before things get out of hand."

"Lawyer Die Lang listen to…"

BEEP! BEEP!
