CHAPTER 238

"How come I get to stop while someone else gets to enjoy interrupting us?" Liu Xueyi questioned.

"Because this is a workplace. We shouldn't have been doing this. Exactly why I should. I want to have you and pleasure you anytime I can."

"Great! Thanks, but not now, please. Also, you have your meeting and we have lost more than a minute. So please darling. Do not worry, you can have me when we get home, okay?"

His eyes remained dark with fury as he snapped his head to the side. However, when she pulled his face down to hers and kissed him deeply, he was forced to shut his eyes and finally let go.

"Please."

Her hands fell to her side as she adjusted the clothes on her body before looking up into his eyes.

"Fine. Fine."

"Good boy. I love you."

"Love you too, baby."

They pressed their foreheads together for a few seconds while trying to calm the depth of their breaths to a steady rhythm.

After a few breaths, they broke apart as Liu Xueyi took hold of her hand and helped her down from the desk.

Rather than instructing her visitor into her office Andromeda walked over to the door to get it herself after readjusting her clothes and hair.

"I'm sorry for...." The second she pulled on the door knob she began to apologize only to stop when her gaze landed on the visitor.

Both of their lips fell open at the same time but as compared to Andromeda, her visitor's reaction time was quick as the young lady before her, smiled charmingly at her.

"Miss Kai, good afternoon."

"X-Xiaoli," she let out in a rather shocked manner.

Suddenly, Andromeda felt a presence behind her accompanied by the all too familiar voice. "Xiaoli?"

Quickly she shook her head a bit and returned Peng Xiaoli's smile. Not wanting to hinder Liu Xueyi's view, Andromeda took a step to the side, pulling the door with her.

Fixing his gaze directly on the young lady he had had the privilege of learning about, Liu Xueyi took his time to size her up.

For her kind of statue and calm demeanour, one would not think her tenacity and brains would be great.

However, she put everything to the test and excelled. She was simply an epitome of words looks could deceive.

By the time she heard and saw Liu Xueyi, all the pieces came together in Peng Xiaoli as she drifted her gaze back to Andromeda and broadened her smile.

Without uttering a single word to her boss, she cleared her throat politely. Adjusting her glasses, Peng Xiaoli took a slight bow, lowering her head before Liu Xueyi.

"Good afternoon, sir."

"Good afternoon. Peng Xiaoli, right?" Liu Xueyi inquired.

"Yes. Nice to meet you in person."

"Likewise. Okay, I need to head out," he said and turned to his side.

With their gazes meeting, a small smile formed on his lips as Andromeda returned it as well.

"Sure." She averted her attention back to Peng Xiaoli. "Come in," Andromeda ushered calmly as both paved the way for Peng Xiaoli's entrance.

"Thank you."

Al the while, Peng Xiaoli kept what she saw to herself and walked in as requested.

Once she was far from them, she turned a bit to the side to watch what the couple did.

Proving her point right, she noticed the sheepish smile on Andromeda's face and how Liu Xueyi tenderly, with a loving gaze helped tuck in the strand of hair that loosely fell off her face.

"I need to take my leave."

"Yes. But you do not want to."

"Aye. Anyways, we have a date tonight. I would meet you at your place."

"Alright, I will cook you something delicious when you come."

"Nope. Do not stress yourself. I would place an order and have it delivered to your place. However, more than the meal I long to eat something else."

His lips pulled back a smile and he winked at her before taking his leave.

As he walked off, Andromeda kept her lingering gaze on him till he was out of her line of sight.

Only then did she turn away, closed her door and walked over to her chair.

Now that they were alone, she knew she could not do some questioning. However, she was the one more or less interested in the knowing smile Peng Xiaoli gave to her.

"Good afternoon," Peng Xiaoli greeted yet again.

Smiling at her, Andromeda gestured to the chair in front of her desk. "Please."

"Thanks, Miss Kai."

She moved over and sat down calmly as she placed her small dark green bag on the chair beside her as she settled properly in the chair.

"Welcome."

"I know you want to know the details of what happened at Divine Pearl but…" Andromeda instantly held up her hands to her, forcing her to cut short her sentence as her brows drew closer, not hiding her confusion.

"Before that, tell me what was with your smile earlier on when you first saw me?"

"Nothing."

"That is a bloody lie and you know it."

"Yes, but I can say the same for you. Why were you shocked when you saw me?"

"What do you think?"

"I don't know, you tell me."

"Well, what can I say but that the rumours are not rumours but they are true."

Andromeda's brows furrowed buts he could not really place what Peng Xiaoli was hinting at. Sensing her confusion, Peng Xiaoli pursed her lips as she brought her hands to rest on the desk in front of her.

Her eyes squinted further, taking a closer look at Andromeda's face.

The way and manner in which her brows furrowed and her eyes twitched ended up getting Andromeda on edge as she wondered what really was going on.

"Xiaoli…"

"I wonder how you can deny outright to the one who has known you for five years? Your lip gloss is smeared, your powder is not rightly done or in this case, had been removed due to sweat and touching. I can see the finger marks. They are not yours."
