CHAPTER 232
Having had such a thrilling weekend filled with so much love, Andromeda returned to work in high spirits.
All through the day, she kept on smiling from ear to ear and often she was caught by Jian Xiaofei who kept her eyes glued on Andromeda, smiling sheepishly.
It was no doubt that the smile and twinkle in her eyes spoke a different story.
It was filled with both love and fantasies. To the point where Jian Xiaofei kept wishing and wondering with her.
If there was anything though, it was the fact that she was happy. Glad that Andromeda finally blossomed in a new light.
It was not that she had not, however, ever since Jain Xiaofei knew her, she had always felt that there was something missing.
A part of her had been missing for quite some time and now it was finally found or reunited with her.
That to her meant the world. Before now, the people she had had the privilege of working under had not taken her close the way Andromeda did.
Now more than anything, her true happiness was what she yearned for.
Sadly, she did not know that at the time, Andromeda strived so much to forget her feelings for Wu Bai which led to her being that way.
And now that she found love again, it made her blossom like a new wife.
"Until when would you just stand there and stare?" Jian Xiaofei heard Andromeda's voice loud and clear as she managed to pull the young lady out of her trance.
"Huh…" Her eyes blinked severally while trying her best to gather her thoughts and give a proper answer for being caught red-handed.
"Miss?"
"Sigh!" Shaking her head, Andromeda facepalmed herself briefly as she finally fixed her gaze back on Jian Xiaofei.
"You know the CEO isn't paying you to mop, right?" Her voice rang out in a cautioning tone.
"Y-Y-Ye… Yeah."
"Come here," Andromeda beckoned with a wave of her hands.
Sensing the trouble, she may have somehow gotten wound up in, Jian Xiaofei heaved out a sharp breath, letting her hands drop to her side while holding fast to the sketchbook in her left hand as she closed the gap between her and Andromeda's desk.
"Miss Kai."
"Yes. Bend low."
"Umm…" Instantly, Andromeda sensed her hesitation but did not question it. Of course, with how she was, changing from happy to a bit stern, wasn't what she wanted.
Regardless she couldn't help it. "Bend low towards me," she encouraged.
Watching her, Jian Xiaofei's eyelids dropped to a close as she lowered her waist, bending low as instructed with her head close to Andromeda.
To her surprise, what she had expected from Andromeda wasn't what occurred. Reaching up, Andromeda gently placed the back of her palm on her neck.
Not getting any bad signs, she moved her hand to her forehead. "You are not burning up. Good."
"Huh?"
"Yes. Rise. I only wanted to check if you were okay."
Jian Xiaofei's eyes widened a fraction as she centered her vision on the face of the young lady before her. "I see."
Even at that, the look in her eyes told a different story. She was both speechless and impressed. The main reason why she loved Andromeda.
"I guess I got worried for nothing. However, if you feel tired, you can go get some rest."
Andromeda had barely completed her sentence when Jian Xiaofei interrupted her. "No."
"No?" Andromeda questioned with a raised brow at her. "Why? Or is there something on your mind?"
As soon as the words fell off her lips, Andromeda's brows drew closer as she squinted at her. "Tell me, I am all ears."
"No. It is nothing. Do not want to trouble you," Jian Xiaofei politely stated.
"The fact that you said that already screams to me that there is something wrong. Tell me."
"If I say n…"
"Not even an option. Speak. I need to be able to help you so that you can focus. You do not need too much stress Xiaofei."
Letting out a pleasing smile, Jian Xiaofei pointed out, "You see. Exactly that."
Andromeda's brows furrowed even more. "Exactly what?"
Her chest rose and fell more harshly than before as she released her deep breaths.
Without saying anything she placed the book in her hands on Andromeda's table and placed both hands on it as well.
"I am genuinely happy for you."

For a moment there, Andromeda forgot herself as she stared blankly ahead at her.
"Since I have been working here and under you, I have never seen you this cheerful. Your eyes twinkle with your smile, your face lit up at every thought and when they do, I see your true beauty even more."
Just listening to a compliment from her junior, Andromeda did not know when the blush began to creep up her cheeks.
"Your kindness is on another level. I have seen how selfless you can be and more than anyone, if someone deserves true happiness in this life then it is you."
Her lips pulled back to the side charmingly before she pushed off the table and dusted her hands off.
"And I," Jian Xiaofei began, taking a slight pause as she placed both hands on her lips. "I am glad to have met you and see this has been the best of my experience anywhere. I am glad that you are my boss, Miss Kai."
"Awwn," Andromeda found herself letting out a soft tone at the words which were said to her, ignoring the fact that her face may actually be flushed by now.
Left to her hearing those words were as great as her time with Liu Xueyi.
It proved to her and the voices in her head she was good.
"Thanks."
"You are welcome. However, I do hope it stays this way. Whatever change that caused this, I hope it remains," Jian Xiaofei acknowledged with a wink.
"Please. Do not let it be brief," she added.
