CHAPTER 227

Thanks to their happy moments together, Liu Xueyi felt inner peace within himself after having told Andromeda all about that night.

It felt like a big load had been lifted off his shoulders and now he wondered why he had not done this all along.

Just thinking about the several events that led him up to that point, Liu Xueyi recalled the one person he had not told such important news.

It was thanks to Xu Fang's plotting and Wu Bai's schemes that he met Andromeda. Although they both did wrong and were extremely at fault, he forgave his friend.

From the corners of her eyes, Andromeda watched as Liu Xueyi's lips pulled back into a triumphant smile while his fingers scrolled endlessly on his phone screen.

Judging from the way his eyes zoned out, she could tell he was enjoying his thoughts and whether or not it involved her, she became eager to know.

"Huh, what has got you grinning from ear to ear?" Andromeda's calm voice asked as she rose from the bed to sit at his side.

Blinking his eyes, Liu Xueyi turned his head to the side as he came face to face with her big blue eyes. "Huh?"

"Something is bothering you, out with it, Xueyi. Whatever that thought is. Tell me."

His brows relaxed as his eyes dimmed while mirroring the smile on his lips.

"It is nothing important."

"Yes, it is. For it to get you to lose focus while grinning, tsk. That says a lot and it is very suspicious too."

The sound of a chuckle escapes his lips, forcing Andromeda's brows into a rich as she peered closer at him. "Xueyi?"

"Nothing. Really, I just realized how wrong I was in keeping things from you and how much time I wasted."

"You know," Andromeda began, bringing her legs back into a criss-cross while placing both hands on them. "I am happy it went this way."

"Huh?"

Her lips tugged back, revealing a blinding smile at him. "It made you realize the importance of communication in a relationship."

"Yeah."

"I love you, Liu Xueyi but when we couldn't communicate that love properly, each of us got a bad misunderstanding about the other person."

Just listening to her talk made his heart swell and further helped him understand his mistakes.

"And I am sorry. I should have come out better with my feelings rather than shy away and hope you would catch on to it."

He did not waste time and snapped his head to the side as his eyes darkened a bit. "No. No. No. Do not do that."

Gulping down a bit, Andromeda kept her eyes widened as she peered further into his eyes. "Do what?"

"No. You gave all the obvious signs but I..." His chest expanded a bit as he took in a deep breath before completing his words.

"I was the dumb one to not notice it."

Although he had rushed those words out, Andromeda watched how his chest rose and fell with each deep breath he took.

His hands balled at his side. She could tell he recalled and to his surprise, rather than getting angry or something, all Andromeda had on her face was smiles.

"Stop being too hard on yourself. Also, call him if you care so much about him."

Her brows arched up severally at him, revealing a playful charming smile on her lips as she anticipated his answer.

"Fine. But, wait…"

The confused look in his eyes gave him away as he stared at her helplessly like a child lost on which path to take.

"I know you want to talk to Xu Fang. You haven't spoken about him in a long time. Besides, don't you care how he is faring?"

Liu Xueyi pried his lips to speak but the moment the words formed on his lips; he lost all words.

Her smile widened upon noticing his speechless situation. "Call him."

"But… How did you…"

"You have been scrolling on your phone endlessly. However, you once scrolled to your chat with him and paused briefly. It's in your eyes, I know you want to speak with him."

"I do, honestly."

"Then what are you waiting for?"

Saying this, Andromeda reached for his phone. Using his finger, she unlocked his phone and quickly went to his contact list and brought out Xu Fang's name.

"Here," she handed over the phone while placing a call to Xu Fang. By the time Andromeda lifted her eyes to his, a warm smile graced his lips.

"Thanks."

Almost at the same time, the call was answered from the other end, and a rather rough voice resonated from the other end of the phone.

"Hello? X-Xue-yi?"

Andromeda gave him a thumbs up almost immediately while silently urging him to carry on and ignore her.

Nodding his head briefly, Liu Xueyi removed the phone from speaker mode and placed it on his left ear as he responded calmly.

"Hey, Fang. What's up."

"Xueyi!"

The thrill and his excitement could be heard from the other end of the phone as he hurriedly voiced again. "Xueyi! It is really you! Man, I can't believe I would miss you this much."

"Hahaha…" a burst of charming laughter fell off his lips for a second before regaining his composure and cleared his throat. "Well, I think I missed you as well."

"For reals? I never thought that with Andromeda and work overshadowing your mind you would. Actually, I thought you forgot about me and were really mad at me. The last time you sent me off, u at least checked on me but now… Sigh!"

"Do not be dejected. I got busy with so many things, sure and I missed not having you hear to share it with you."

"Idiot, I was only a call away."

"Nah. You deserved a worse punishment and not even my trust this time."

"I know, Xueyi and I am sorry. I mean it. What I did was uncalled for and if your trust in me did break, I understand. I may have had my way of thinking about you and it was wrong. So, I accepted my punishment willingly."
