CHAPTER 21

Her eyes dimmed at his face. A few seconds passed and she still did not say or do anything. "Tah!" She waived her right palm in a dismissing manner, stunning him in the process.

"There is no way the Liu Xueyi I know is you. Tsk." She evaded her eyes and focused on the bartender.

"Why? Are you scared that I may be really him and if so, you are busted?"

"Pfft, do not try to play games on me," she moved her head carelessly while smiling sheepishly. "You are not him."

"Then what do you want me to say," her head stopped moving and she pouted.

Ignoring her innocently cute face, Liu Xueyi leaned his head in till he was face to face with her while placing his right hand on the counter. "That my top fashion designer has a lousy drinking habit?"

Her half-closed eyes flew open as her eyes stared into his dark ones, completely stunned by the truth.

With this close front, there was no mistaking it, it was him.

Regardless, even with that truth, what Andromeda did next left him shocked and more interested in her person.

"Pff hahhaa…" she burst into a light giggle as she threw her head on his shoulder and wrapped her hands around his neck.

"Andromeda…"

"Since you are Liu Xueyi, then you should take responsibility and let me drink while pouring out my sorrows on your shoulders."

He did not know what to say. Neither could he cry. She reeked of drink a bit but for her to be that tipsy and… Wait, what where the wetness he felt against his shirt?

Instinctively, he pulled her back and checked her face, only to find her in tears.

This was the lady he saw as tough, conniving, and knows how to play her game well, but she was shedding a tear?

"Andromeda, what is wrong? Talk to me, do you feel any pain anywhere?"

She shook her head, gazing pitifully at him. More and more tears flowed out regardless of what she said, making her story incomprehensible.

"Andromeda." He shook her shoulders using more force than intended. Feeling worse, she clutched at his arms, stopping his attack on her poor body.

"I… Well… it hurts Liu Xueyi. It hurts, here," she slid her hand off his and brought it close to her body while he waited to see where hurt her most.

Before her hand could find rest on the exact place, her eyes rolled at the back of her head and she fell face forward on his chest.

"Did she just… Andromeda, Andromeda."

There was no response. After waiting some minutes, the sound of her light snore and some inaudible words brought his attention back to her.

"How can you fall asleep right in the arms of anyone? Naughty girl."

The bright sun beamed in its radiance, peering through the clouds and bestowing on the world, his grace.

The chirping sounds of little birds could be heard in the surrounding, singing a melody known to them as droplets of water, falling from the leaves of plants added a different rhythm to their song.

The morning breeze felt cool, enough to relax one's ache and take your troubles away.

Trees danced to their exclusive gentleness, accompanied by the light sound of a light breeze blowing.

Lying with hands spread on the bed was a dangerous beauty who seemed so lost yet free from her pains.

Her lips moved, turning from side to side while she reached for her eyes and rubbed against them. Satisfied, she turned to her side and resumed her sleep.

After about two minutes, her eyes opened briefly as her lips parted at the same time, yawning without restraints.

She pursed her lips and sucked nothing in her mouth before sitting up leisurely.

"Hmm, where am I?' she asked, sweeping her gaze around her.

While things seemed extremely different between her old house and the new one, this was cool.

It was a simple room with quality materials and a big bed. Simple in the sense of the designs but the wideness made her raise her brow.

"Wait… Yesterday, I was… No… I went drinking and then…" she cracked her brain trying to recall the scene when a certain light beamed in her eyes.

"I got it. Someone prevented me from drinking. Hmm, who was he?" she brought her hand to her lips, lowering her head as her thoughts drove farther through her foggy brain.

'He said he was Liu… Hell no! But what if… his face was not clear until…'

Her mind flashed back to when he came closer and she saw his face up close. "You have got to be kidding me. Meaning I am at his…"

BANG!

"Morning Andromeda Kai. I assume you enjoyed your sleep." Her eyes locked dreamily on the handsome boss of hers that strode into her room.

Just one look at him and his voice fully confirmed she wasn't dreaming.

"What? Still haven't had enough of using me to your squirms?"

Her eyes flew open and she lowered her head quickly. "Uh… I…" she racked her brain for what to say and how to flee this situation but no matter how she tried, nothing seemed to be forthcoming, save for her behavior the previous night.

"I'm stewed, aren't I?"

"I am glad you know. Come, brush your teeth and head downstairs. I made a soup for your hangover." He did not say anything and walked away, giving her some privacy.

Once she finished she went down to meet him only to have her nostrils assaulted with the sweet aroma from the meals he prepared.

'Gosh... my stomach is grumbling just from the smell. I can't wait.'

On getting to the dining, she beamed a smile at him while swinging her body from side to side like a kid eager for her delicacy.

Sensing what she wanted a small smile formed on his lips but due to his lowered head, she did not see it. fre ewebno vel.com

"Sit." She obeyed without complaint and sat down. "Let's eat." He lifted his head, pulled out his seat, and served himself.

As for Andromeda, her gaze swept through the different mouth-watering dishes she had not had time to prepare for herself in some months and was eager to try them.

Wasting no time, she took a plate and was about to pick from the fish and meat, and shrimps there when his chopstick blocked hers.

Lifting her head, she pouted at him while silently giving him the warning-pleading eyes.

"No. The soup is for you. I wasn't the one that got drunk was I?"

"But I..." she licked her lips, her eyes stealing glances of the meal.

"But what?"

"Who would eat all of these if I do not jo..."

"They are mine. I made the soup for you. Start eating."

"All of..."

"Andromeda..." His cold voice made her stay still while her chopstick was only an inch away from a meatball.

She cringed at being caught. "Alright, You win. I would eat."

She spent the next few minutes eating her plain soup while stealing glances of the meal before her.

At one time when she felt he wasn't looking, she moved fast and stole a meatball, throwing it into her mouth.

A triumphantly satisfied grin plastered on her face at her achievement but the deathly glare she got right after, almost made her choke.
