CHAPTER 172
All the time of the kiss, Liu Xiao Xin could not believe her brother would do that and kept her wide eyes open all the way.
Never before had she seen Liu Xueyi indulge in a public display of affection while in a relationship.
And as sweet as the last relationship, he still refrained from doing so. However now…
Her cheeks burned as she watched, ignoring the blush that crept on her cheeks.
Andromeda on the other hand did not expect for him to react in such a way and forgot for a moment there what it meant to be kissed by Liu Xueyi as she left her eyes wide open.
Unlike their previous kisses, this one was swift and brief. Regardless, each and every feeling of his lips remained lingering on her lips.
She watched in shock as his Adam's apple bobbed up and down when swallowed before waving at her, "Goodbye."
All Andromeda could do at that point in time was manage to blink in response. Liu Xueyi winked a smile at her, loving how he left her speechless and stole her breath away.
To him, it simply meant his charm was very much intact. And he loved it. There was probably still a chance with her.
He got in his car, ignoring his naughty sister's squeal as they drove off, leaving a somewhat shocked Andromeda behind.
All through the drive, he kept his sister quiet but when she did not get his attention, she resulted in climbing unto the free passenger's seat in front and continued to pester him.
In the end, she got nothing till they arrived at their destination.
On the other hand, Andromeda walked back to her apartment wearing the best smile she had won in such a long time.
Everything had happened so fast that her heart still thudded wildly in response in her chest as she paced from corner to corner in her living room.
Several thoughts roamed in her head but she could only come to a conclusion that he did not love her and all of those were but a show for his sister just as she had down.
The second that thought finalized in her mind, Andromeda felt her heart clench so hard from it and she felt pain seep into her chest at the very minute.
After some thinking, she decided to brush it all aside and have a good rest.
There was still time to figure out what he felt for her and why he kissed her at will.

~Liu's Residence~
When Liu Xueyi arrived at the family house, he was greeted by one of the men dressed in an all-black suit who took opened Xiao Xin's door for her and also got out her suitcase from the boot of the car.
Together both siblings walked into the house to visit their mum.
"Hello mother," Liu Xueyi greeted calmly, bowing his head to her.
"Mum, I'm home!" Xiao Xin announced with lee laced in her tone.
Judging from the stern look their mother shot at them, she knew her mother would not be able to resist her charms if she acted nicely and spoilt.
So before Jiaying got any funny cues and began scolding them, Xiao Xin lifted her hands in the air, spreading them wide as she rushed toward her mother for a hug.
Not being prepared for the assault before it began, Mrs Liu could not guard against her daughter and was immediately engulfed in a bear hug.
"Momma! I missed you!" Xiao Xin squealed, hugging her mother's frame against her slender ones.
She knew the mother she had. When showered with love like this, all of her initial anger would dissipate instantly.
"Xiao Xin…" Her voice trailed off in a soft protest but all she got was more snuggling and in the end, she finally let her anger go and hugged her daughter back.
Seeing the mother and daughter forgiving sight, Liu Xueyi shook his head before making his way over to his seat.
After some seconds more of his mother protesting for Xiao Xin to let her go, she shook her head at the giggling Xiao Xin and then made her way over to the living room where her son was to sit beside him.
Seconds passed with no one speaking to each other but several unspoken words remain unsaid in the deadpan silence until Liu Xueyi cleared his throat.
"How are you, mum?"
"Fine and you?"
"Great."
"Good."
"Umm, I want to take my…"
"You are going nowhere, Liu Xueyi. You would wait, stay with us for some time before leaving."
Xiao Xin rolled her eyes at her mother. It was obvious she missed him and if she asked him nicely to stay over, she was sure he wouldn't refuse her especially when she emotionally blackmailed him.
However, she wished to go the hard way. One that most definitely would not sit well with Xueyi.
"Relax. I am not leaving now. However, I think you stated you wanted to spoil your daughter well. I was considering giving you the chance to."
"Naughty boy. Of course, I want to spoil you too. Do not be a spoiled sport."
"Fine."
Xiao Xin smiled at their way of making up and speaking cutely to each other. It reminded her of how she was with their father whenever he was mad at her over something she did do.
Spending an hour more with them, Liu Xueyi later took his leave, giving both mother and child some time alone.
Not too long after he left, however, the front doorbell rang out, pulling both ladies from their conversation.
At first, Xiao Xin had her brows raised at her mum, wondering if she was expecting a guest but seeing the happy look in her mother's eyes, she suspected something was up and decided to wait.
Minutes later, they were greeted with the disturbing noise of a young lady as her pair of heels clicked hard against the tiled floor.
"Xiao Xin! Are you back?" Her voice echoed in the hallway before she came to a halt at the entrance of the living room.
A loud shriek followed right after when her eyes landed on the beautiful nature of the young woman seated opposite of her mother.
"Xiao Xin!"
