A few moments later, Liu broke the kiss, bringing his hand away from her side and taking it up to her face, gently caressing her cheek as he peered deeply into her eyes. The same one that held the same desire as his.
"Andy, you are truly beautiful," Liu Xueyi complimented. "And you deserve all the care, love, and protection."
She could not say anything to him. Not because she did not have what to say but because her brain became a clean state from that kiss.
And it burned deep in her heart that she loved every single thing he did to her but she was scared, too scared to admit it.
To admit that her heart and body had begun to crave this young man before her.
At first, she blamed it on his behaviour but later when she thought about it, way before then, she did allow him to kiss her.
Yes, she once said she did not want to hurt him and embarrass him but deep down she knew his kisses made her brain lose a lot of screws when they were together.
And as terrible as that was, she found herself leaning to it for support and to fill up the hole and pain that was left.
She wanted to love someone and be loved in return but deep down, her fears tugged at the strings of her heart.
But one thought lingered on. She spent 5 years loving a man who became a total stranger to her in the blink of an eye.
Lied to just to be taken advantage of.
Andromeda knew she came to Liu Xueyi herself but it was for business and not pleasure. She did not know if she could trust anymore.
Her breathing calmed down slowly and her sense returned to her.

This was not the time to believe another again and that was what scared her.

Taking his distracted thoughts to her advantage, Andromeda moved away from him and immediately walked back to the front of his table.
It took him some seconds to come to terms with her indirect rejection when Andromeda's words pulled him back to her.
He took a turn to face her, keeping his face neutral to the best of his abilities as he gazed into the eyes of the woman he so much desired.
"I'm sorry but I would appreciate it if… You do not do that, again." She pointed at her lips, adding that as an emphasis to her words.
She knew if she did not put a stop to this, he would kiss her at will and at any place or time.
As much as she loved it, she could not risk that happening and arousing more news and scandals.
At that point, people would stick to their idea of her being a slut and using her body to reach her position.
Rumours spread faster than the actual truth and she was just at the start of her career.
She could not afford to let it be faced with too many enemies and problems.
Yes, she believed him when he said he was going to protect her and she was thankful, but this was her revenge and she had to stand for herself, proving her worth to all, even her enemies, bringing them down nice and clean.
"Andromeda, I am sorry for crossing boundaries," he began with a sincere apology. "However, I am not sorry for kissing you," Liu Xueyi's voice rang out deep reaching her brain loud and clear.
'Damn it. He is just one stubborn...' She shook her head, managing a calm smile. The best her brain could conjure up at a time like this.
"Liu Xueyi you and I are just…"
"I know, boss and employee right?" He asked, cutting her words straight as he took in all of her reactions. "Those are the words you wish to say, right?"
"It doesn't matter."
"It does to me."
"I'm sorry then. I would take my leave now."
She lowered her head a bit before him and turned on her heels, majestically walking out of his office.
The door closed behind her with a soft noise, pulling out a puff of air from his lips.
'I am sorry, Andromeda, but I would not. No, I can't stop kissing you and sooner or later, I would make you mine. Then you won't refuse me anymore.'
His eyes darkened while his gaze lingered on the door once more.
Slowly, he reached up and gently brushed his fingers against his lips, still feeling the softness of her lips on his.

Andromeda shut the door to her office and this time she used the keys before rushing over to her seat.
As soon as she sat down, she placed her head down on her desk while she fought back the tears that threatened to fall from her eyes.
Why she acted this way or was even feeling so sad, she did not understand herself.
All she know was that it took all the will in her before she could mutter such words to him, hoping this would put a stop to what she desired for her brain to work and she could push with her plan.
As much as she wasn't sure about her own feelings, she was not sure about this. She did not want to be caught in the web of love or affections bred out of pure lust.
Gradually, she pried her head from the table and searched her bag for her ear pod.
Andromeda wasted no time in getting it out and connecting with her phone. Her fingers unlocked her phone and scrolled through her playlist and tapped on any song.
She leaned back against her chair, letting her eyes drop closed as she banned Liu Xueyi from her thoughts.
Right now, she did not want to be disturbed nor to think but surprisingly, the song she had touched without giving it a second thought, was one that spoke to her whether she liked it or not.
As soon as she listened halfway, she pressed on the next icon only to be met with something deeper. Resigning herself to her fate, she listened on, letting the words sink.
