Whether or not, Andromeda liked what was going on, she knew she could not remain cooked up in her room and would have to face life, sooner or later.
That morning when she was about to leave for work, she got a call from Liu Xueyi, informing her he was waiting outside.
True to his word he was and together they rode to the company. Entering the company from the front was going to cause more gossip than Liu Xueyi wanted and he knew it.
Instead, he decided they take his secret route into the company and out whenever he was heading away as Ye Yuan. Nevertheless, Andromeda had a different plan.
She did not want to be seen in the company and eventually slide in and out like a rat.
First off, it would tell of her inability to handle her obstacles in life and also prove to many that she was ashamed and the scandal may have some truth to it.
As Liu Xueyi tried to make her see sense in what he was thinking, he failed while Andromeda stood her ground and in the end, he had no choice but to let her do as she pleased.
Together they walked into the company, earning several side glances from the others and comments from the workers present.
Regardless, Liu Xueyi kept the same poker straight face, with her hand in his as they made their way to the elevator.
For the most part of that morning, she did not get unnecessary disturbance in her office until the afternoon when she got a knock on her door.
"Yes? Come in, please."
She waited for the person to enter and to her surprise, not one or two nor three persons, but her entire design team flooded into her office to greet her.
She watched in awe and surprise at the fact that they bore in their hands, several little gifts for her.
What had gotten her more shocked was when the crowd paved the way and her assistant, Peng Xiaoli stepped forward with a big smile on her face and a big card, stating the sweetest words she could have heard that morning.
"Peng Xiaoli," Andromeda almost squealed in her seat.
Part of the reason why she was without this devoted young lady was that she needed someone who would keep an eye on Beatrice Zhang and give her reports on her activities.
As much as Wu Bai wished to fire her, he knew Andromeda'a actions were independent of Peng Xiaoli.
At last, he ignored her, and assign her to some normal jobs hoping Andromeda would return to him.
"How are you?" Andromeda asked and took a step around her desk to stand before her subordinates.
"I have seen better days but more importantly, Miss kai, I am sorry for what they did to you."
"Nonsense. Sorry I missed your call. All of you," she swept her gaze at them, wearing a small smile. "I am grateful for the thought."
"No matter what, we trust and believe you, Miss Kai. We have seen your hard work and what you have done for the company. There is no way all the nonsense said about you is true," Jian Xiaofei relayed softly.
"Xiaofei," Andromeda beamed at her. "Thank you."
"Miss Kia, we love you and we are happy that you and the CEO are dating," Cao Yan chipped in quickly.
"Cao Yan," her eyes widened in surprise. Ever since her first few days pretending to be an intern, they had not spoken closely since till now.
He always seemed busy doing a thing or two but hearing him say that, she felt blessed.
The others all said a thing or two about her and, in the end, they left her office with her table full of gifts.
As much as she wished for everyone to share in the gifts, they refused sayings eh should eat them, love them, read them and think about their hearts rather than feel sad.
Indeed, it was a touching moment and she did not hold in her tears at the Genuity of their actions.
Never in her life had she experienced something like this, not even in her five years of working for Wu Bai.
At 3 pm, however, she got a call from Liu Xueyi asking for her presence in his office without giving her any heads up as to why he called.
Just thinking of what he might need her presence for, Andromeda felt her heart beat increase rapidly, recalling all about her wet dream and what occurred yesterday.
She did not call him to find out what his father said and now she wondered if that was the reason or if he just wanted to taunt her like he did yesterday.
After spending a few minutes trying to figure it out, she gathered her thoughts and reported there.
The last thing she needed was to get on his bad side after all he did to protect her.
Knock! Knock!
"Enter."
She turned on the doorknob and helped herself in. To her lovely surprise, he was not alone but with Xu Fang and Tang Yan.
"Good afternoon," she greeted all and no one in particular.
"Andromeda Kai," Tang Yan called out, placing his crossed leg down as she made her way over to Liu Xueyi's desk.
"Hi."
"How gave you been?"
"Good. You?"
"Great now that I can see you are fine," Tang Yan responded coyly, ignoring the obvious glare Liu Xueyi gave him.
"I hope so far no one has tried to harass you?" she shook her head in silent response. "Better. If they do, call me."
He reached into his pocket and pulled out his business card. "I would resolve it quickly."
"Thanks."
"I see only Liu Xueyi and Tang Yan can catch your attention, Andromeda. How could you just ignore me?" Xu Fang complained.
"My apologies," Andromeda winked at him. "How are you?"
"I am fine now that you…"
"That's a wrap, you two can take your leave," Liu Xueyi interrupted swiftly.
He was not happy that she did not give him her attention and instead flooded her words to his friends when he was the one who called.
"Hey, you cannot just kick us out," Xu Fang complained again.
"I can and I just did. I need some time with my girlfriend. You do not expect me to smooch her in your presence now, do you?"
"Oh sure. We want to see," Tang Yan and Xu Fang both voiced out at the same time.
"What was I thinking calling her up with you two around. Out now before I…"
He did not wait to finish his sentence when he slammed his hand hard against his desk, forcing both of them to rise to their feet.
"Aish, tsk. You can be such a pain in the ass, you know," Tang Yan lamented.
"Sure. That's what I get to face every bloody day I work with his sorry ass," Xu Fang cooed as he took a step back.
"See you around, Andromeda. I would pay a visit one of these days."
"You are forbidden from seeing her," Liu Xueyi ordered.
"Since when?" Andromeda queried, sensing his jealousy rise as she placed a hand on her hip.
"Since today. I don't want his naughty hands close to you."
"Pfft," Tang Yan held in his laughter to the best of his ability as he retreated backwards.
"Laugh all you want Tang Yan and Liu Xueyi, don't come finding me."
With that, both men excused the newly found couple to do their smooching.
