To Andromeda's surprise, what her ears heard was nothing but the truth.
She knew him better than for him to actually play such a stupid joke on her.
Not only did he call to check up on her but he came here as well. She could not begin to wonder if everything about her dream would repeat itself.
Did she suddenly just turn a seer or what?
Her mind remained fogged trying to process the information in her mind when Liu Xueyi's voice cut her off again.
"Andromeda."
"Yes. Yes?" She blinked hard, trying her best to focus.
"I am outside your door. Do you mind coming to open up for me?"
"Umm. I am not entirely feeling well today…" she trailed off, hoping he would get the hint.
"Oh, I see."
He had bought the idea when suddenly his mind struck at her words. His voice was immediately filled with concern.
"Then if you are not well, open up and let me take a look. I would bring you to the hospital this very moment."
"Huh…" she bit down hard on her lower lip while reaching up to scratch her hair, thinking of the proper excuse to come up with.
"Andromeda?"
"Huh…" she raked her fingers through her hair when suddenly an excuse came.
"Huh, it's still early."
"Early?"
'Damn it, Andromeda. Think of something better, quick!' She scolded herself in her mind.
"Andromeda, it's an hour after noon. It isn't early."
"I mean you still have work to do. You do not need to be concerned with me. I have worried you enough already. I hope you understand, right. I can't allow you to do this. I feel bad."
"Andromeda, I have people under me that can do the job. Xu Fang offered I come to check up on you while he handled some documents for me. There is nothing to be worried about."

She shut her eyes, tilting her head back as she slid her hand down from her head to cover her face.
"Andromeda? Okay, tell me..."
"No, no. no," she interjected quickly. "It's not that. It is just, I want you to rest."
"And I can't be, knowing you are not feeling fine. Or is that something wrong to do?"
"No. Not at all. Please do not mind me."
"No. There is something you are not telling me. Or is it because of what I did on the video this morning? Are you not cool with it?"
By now, his own heart beat wildly against his chest, hoping her answer would not be a positive one to his question.
"Uh, yes…"
"Yes?"
"No. I mean no."
"Yes, no." He let out an actual sigh and placed a hand in his pocket as he straightened his back at her doorstep.
She shut her eyes tight, praying for this moment to pass.
"I would take my leave then."
She felt like smacking her face real hard.
Of course, when she meant yes, it was because after she watched that video she put his face as the person in the first video of that night and her brain and hormones went wild with thoughts.
She could not deny the fact that she thought of her boss as one hot young man and she liked him.
But telling him she had a wet dream of him was just so out of it.
What would he think of her?!
'What would he say if he knew I thought of him in such a manner? Wouldn't he think of me as a sex-deprived woman?'
No matter how she thought about it, it was wrong for him to know. And she wished not to ruin her friendship with him.
In the end, her silence made him feel she agreed with his words and Liu Xueyi finalized in his own mind
"Alright then. I would take your silence as your answer. Forgive me. Well, do try and rest a bit and if you feel bad still, call me or you can go to the hospital, okay?"
"Liu Xueyi…"
"It's alright. I am not angry. I would give you some space. I think you and I need it. Have a good rest, Andromeda Kai."
With that, he ended the call not giving her any chance to explain herself.
Honestly, he was so hurt to even want to spend another second on the phone call.
All he did so far was for her but if it pushed their friendship to this state, he did not want that one bit.
More importantly, he was scared of her reaction once she found out the truth, which was why it hurt him so much by her silence and the fact that she pushed him away.
Letting out a sigh, Liu Xueyi kept his phone in his pocket and fought the urge deep within him to scream out his frustration as he took the first step to leave.
'I guess she really needs that break seeing as she is not calling back, huh?'
Shaking his head at his thought, he placed the second leg forward and began to walk slowly away.
Meanwhile, Andromeda was going frantic about what had just transpired between her boss and herself.
How in the world did everything go down the drain in a blink of an eye?
One minute they were talking and laughing at each other and the next, she ruined it all.
"Arrghh! Andromeda!" She threw her hands in the air, letting them fall down limply before bringing them up to rub over scattered hair.
'Wait. I should stop him and that would give me a reason to see if he really was outside or pulling my le, right?'
She hesitated in her steps and thought carefully.
'But he sounded serious and hurt. Gosh, I guess I have to forgo my stupid dream and ensure he is not hurt by my words. Damn it, Andromeda!'
She wasted no time and scrambled to her feet as she dashed out of her room, running down the stairs, making a sprint for the door.
On getting there, she unlocked it and yanked it open as her body pushed itself outside the door, to see his body in the elevator as the doors began to close.

Her heart thudded wildly in her chest when her eyes landed on his sad face and she forgot all of her stupid dreams.
Although his eyes remained lowered, she felt she could see through them. The hurt, how could she have been so thoughtless?
Without a second thought, called him out quickly.
"Xueyi! Stop!"
