CHAPTER 121

Taking Liu Xueyi's advice, all through that day, Andromeda kept her phone switched off after of course, noticing his call and many others.

By the next morning, she woke up to the sound of her alarm going off, alerting her for work.

She had gotten so busy yesterday she failed to put it off even after Liu Xueyi gave her the Monday off.

Switching it off, she turned on the bed and went back for another round of sleep.

Not up to an hour after that, her phone buzzed on the bed next to her flinging her up into a sitting position on the bed while her brain banged nonstop in her head.

Her droopy eyes gradually scanned around searching for the phone and the disturber when she found it close to a pillow at the other end of the bed.

Hesitantly, she reached for it, bringing it to close before turning it around.

Her eyes locked on the screen to find out Gu Jun had decided to disturb her pretty sleep that early morning.

Not that she minded entirely, she was just expecting someone else.

Without further ado, she answered the call and hummed into the phone disinterestedly.

"Hello, Andromeda. Good morning."

She yawned out a good morning, keeping her face in a rather unpleasant state, leaving her hair all messy.

"Andromeda?"

"Morning," she finally reciprocated his greeting, rubbing the sleep off her eyes.

"Tsk. I guess you cried a lot yesterday seeing as you are still busy clutching to your bed."

"Boohoo. Leave me be, Gu Jun. I am not up for games."

"Maybe not, maybe so. But who knows?"

"Hmph."

She crossed one hand over her chest and waited for him to speak but he did not and listened to the sound of her breathing through the phone.

"Hey, I do not have all day, Gu Jun. Out with it," she scolded with irritation laced in her voice.

"Sigh. I guess they really got under your skin to get you all worked up like this."

"I need my beauty sleep."

"Don't you have work you need to go to today?"

"And why are you calling at this time? Shouldn't you be at work yourself?"

"Yes, and I am here. I called to check up on you since you refused to pick up any of our calls yesterday."

She let out a sigh, yawning along as she fell back down on her bed with her phone still pressed to her left ear.

"Yeah. I am sorry but I needed my space."

"I understand you. I only wanted to make sure you did not need anything outside, so I could help."

"Even if I needed, I would not call you guys. That would be an excuse for you to come over and see me. I am smart."

"Ah, yes you are." He relaxed in his seat and rolled his chair with one leg draped over the other.

"I missed you, Andromeda."

"I know, big baby," she smiled.

Not saying anything, Andromeda rolled over onto her side, pulling one of her throw pillows closer to her chest as she took in a deep breath.

"How are you?" She heard his calm and collected voice ask.

"Better."

"That's good. Now I am wondering how my cry baby got over that stage so easily." He arched a brow up as though she could see him.

"I…" she was about to say she had company but knew if she dared mention it, the others would feel jealous that only Liu Xueyi spent the day with her.

"I am big now. No longer a baby," she stated in defence.

"I see. Anyways. I bet your boss did take care of you. We worried too much, Xie Tian and I."

Immediately those words fell out of his lips, Andromeda felt her heart thudding wildly in her chest.

She did not know how he knew Liu Xueyi was with her and she felt so shy at being caught but managed to stay calm and check if he really knew anything.

"What do you mean by that?"

"You haven't checked the news this morning then," he stated as a matter of factly.

"Cause if you have, I bet your brain would not be able to sleep."

"What news! How… what is happening this time?"

He could sense her fear overtake from how rapidly her breathing changed but Gu Jun could only smile in response.

"Nothing to be worried about. All I know, check the news more often."

"I do not want anything that would ruin my mood more than it had already been soiled in."

"No. No. I promise you this may not ruin your mood."

"May," she pointed out as she let out a heavy sigh and rose back into a sitting position.

"Just trust me, Andromeda. Have I lied to you?"

"Maybe."

His voice deepened as he asked her, feeling rather disappointed. "Seriously?"

"Do not mind me. I was pulling your legs. Fine. I would check. Do not worry."

"Okay. I am not worried honestly. Just that I would give you some time to get over that incident and then we speak."

"No need. There is nothing to worry about. It did happen. So, it's okay."

As much as she may have expected him to be shocked, he was least bothered and this was normal for them.

Sharing each other's worries and secrets most times were things they were used to.

"Andromeda, whether you did sleep with all the men in the world and stuff, I do not care. It won't change my view of you. And I know better than anyone that the news following that video is all wrong. You are an extremely good person and not a slut."

"Thank you, Gu Jun."

"However, this was why you left Wu Bai right?"

Although she told him about leaving Wu Bai because he did something to betray her, cheating on her she failed to speak of that night on her side.

"He looks like a capable stranger. I just hope he gave my bestie a good time."

"Shut up, Gu Jun," she laughed out.

"What? It was your first time. Anyways, I know of someone claiming to be him."

"What? You have gotten wind of who the man is?" She asked in alarm.

"Not entirely. But he just became a suspect. Now stop talking and go check the news. We would speak later. Remember, I always love you bestie."

"Love you too kiddo."

"Aish, you really don't respect me anymore."

"Nope. Ciao."

She ended the call and immediately picked up her remote from the bedstand, putting the television screen on.

Scanning through channels, she came upon one always hosting the biggest news and came to a pause.

She waited a bit when suddenly she saw the picture which began the video out there, with a new picture popping up next.

Her heart skipped a beat as she watched with wide eyes.

"It was earlier reported today that a new video went viral after the new video followed, denouncing the earlier claims of the public with the man in the video finally revealing himself and speaking the said truth."

She reached up, rubbing her eyes clean as her gaze remain plastered on the television screen, finding it difficult to believe who she saw.
