Chapter 1806 Ancient Ones

The celestials were a race that had been lost in the annals of history, their existence shrouded in the mists of time. They were considered the first race, the creators of the universe itself. Even the elves, with their tens of thousands of years of advanced civilization, still referred to them as the ancient ones. They were the origin of all the wonders and mysteries of the universe.

In the annals of ancient history, tales spoke of colossal battles among the celestials, clashes that had forged the universe and ultimately led to the extinction of their own kind. In the present era, there were no known living celestials; only the remnants of their memory and enigmatic artifacts remained.

Among these relics, the Ancient Celestial Ruins stood as one of the most significant. This colossal structure, as immense as a moon, would open its gates every 30 years for a mere 10-day window, granting access to a limited group of Magus. It was one of the rare events jointly managed by both races; Humans and elves.

Originally intended as an opportunity to uncover the secrets left behind by the ancient race, the expedition had now transformed into a fierce competition among the young magus to prove their prowess.

"Within the ruins, one can find invaluable artifacts, ancient knowledge, and, most coveted of all, celestial shards imbued with profound comprehension of natural laws," Delbrand explained.

This news left both Emery and Julian in awe, especially the part about the ruins becoming a sanctuary where young Magus could enhance their comprehension of the laws.

Emery absorbed the information about the nine vaults, each containing the comprehension of nine laws.

"Nine? Not ten?"

"yes, all elements, except darkness" Delbrand answered.

Emery absorbed the information about the Ancient Celestial Ruins with growing excitement and curiosity. Delbrand's words had opened a doorway to a world of mysteries and opportunities, making him even more eager to embark on the expedition.

As he contemplated the nine vaults, each brimming with the comprehension of nine laws, he couldn't help but be intrigued. The notion that the Celestials had left behind such a profound legacy filled him with wonder. The absence of the darkness element only deepened the mystery. Emery pondered why the Celestials had chosen to withhold their wisdom in this particular area, and he couldn't help but feel drawn to uncover its secrets.

"Do you understand now, Emery? Not only are you probably one of the strongest magi of your age, but you are also proficient in both darkness and light, giving you advantages for the expedition."

Delbrand's explanation shed light on why Jinkan was so keen on recruiting him for the expedition. Emery's unique mastery of both darkness and light made him a rare and formidable asset.

However, Delbrand's sobering reminder about the expedition's risks brought Emery back to reality. The prospect of losing four out of every ten participants was a stark reminder of the perilous nature of the journey ahead. He knew he had to choose his companions Afterward, Delbrand and Julian decided to give Emery some alone time to reunite with his plant creatures.

wisely, as their lives would depend on their collective strength and cooperation.

"The expedition starts in 8 days' time. I will tell you more about it tomorrow at the Nephilim training ground."

Afterward, Delbrand and Julian decided to give Emery some alone time to reunite with his plant creatures.

Emery made his way to a quiet spot in the lush forest near the complex. The natural energy of the area was palpable, and it felt like a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling preparations for the expedition.

Sitting amidst the vibrant foliage, he extended his senses to commune with the Chizpur brothers and Twik. Their unique connection allowed them to communicate not just through words but through shared emotions and thoughts. In their presence, Emery felt a profound sense of comfort and belonging. These creatures had been his companions in some of the darkest moments of his life, and their unwavering support had seen him through countless challenges.

Haven't checked their growth for a while, Emery called them and started to assess their progress:

[Chizpur Fang - Stage 6]

[Magical Creature - Level 120]

[Battle Power - 155]

After not seeing them for two years, it appeared that they hadn't grown much. Their levels hadn't increased, almost as if the Chizpurs had reached the limit of their growth.

As for Twik:

[Flora Colossi - Stage 8]

[Mythical Creature Level 45]

[Battle Power - 345]

Twik had managed to gain 15 levels in the last two years, with most of that progress happening during their time together in Vanyar, thanks to Emery's deep involvement.

Looking at all six of them, Emery said, "What should I do with you all?"

These plants were undeniably powerful, but their opponents in the upcoming expedition would all be at the magus level. To ensure their safety, Emery decided to take them to a quiet clearing within the forest and open up a portal, bringing Twik and all the Chizpur brothers into the Khaos Gate.

"I brought some friends to accompany you,"

Emery's words echoed within the confines of the Pestilence Gate, a place once shrouded in darkness and mystery. Chututlu, the mystical creature proficient in plants, seemed to respond positively to Emery's intentions. There was an unspoken understanding, a connection between them that transcended mere words.

With a sense of reverence, Emery inquired if it would be acceptable for his friends, the Chizpur brothers, to remain within the gate.

<you are the master of this Pestilence gate, I will follow your wishes"

It was as if the ancient creature recognized Emery's authority and granted his request willingly.

Emery's curiosity led him to wonder if the space within the gate could be expanded. Emery, being the master of the gate, held the power to shape and mold its dimensions according to his will.

"That's good to know," Emery acknowledged, appreciating the flexibility that the gate's nature afforded him.

With Chututlu's guidance, Emery embarked on a process of transformation. The once dark and solid chamber began to undergo a metamorphosis. It expanded gradually, resembling a cave that bore a resemblance to the Spirit Cave on the Hyperion planet, albeit with an unnatural and mystical aura.

The Chizpur brothers, ever eager to assist, prepared themselves to turn this newly created space into a fully functional garden. Twik, the plant creature, took the lead in this endeavor. He carefully selected areas on the newly formed earthy ground and began planting seeds and saplings, bringing life to the once barren expanse.

Emery marveled at Twik's abilities as he witnessed the rapid growth of the plants. The ground soon transformed into a lush carpet of green, and Emery couldn't help but be amazed by the beauty and vibrancy that had emerged within the Pestilence Gate.

"A garden? Is this possible?" Emery wondered aloud, his eyes filled with wonder and appreciation for the extraordinary transformation that had taken place.

The guardians of the Khaos Gate had already indicated the possibility of plant growth within this unique and chaotic realm. Cthulhu, with its inherent natural energy, created an environment that was conducive to certain types of plants. However, the opposing force of thick Khaos energy and the lethal nature of Cthulhu's toxin limited the types of vegetation that could thrive there.

Intrigued and wanting to confirm the guardians' assertions, Emery decided to conduct a test. He brought with him some of the hundreds of plants he had stored within his own space. Some plants adapted quickly to the chaotic environment, displaying resilience and growth, while others struggled and failed to thrive.

Luckily, Twik and the Chizpur brothers, being made from exceptionally resilient plant species, showed no signs of harm in this challenging environment. Emery's sense of relief grew as he realized that they could safely accompany him on the forthcoming expedition.

Emery seized the opportunity while still in the Khaos Gate to access the stone door and enter the Khaos Domain. He then looks upon the Famine gate and says.

"Killgragah, let me talk with her"

Minutes after, the stone was shining, and Morgana entered the Khaos domain. Emery couldn't help but notice the significant increase in her power in just the short time they had been apart.

Morgana greeted him warmly, her curiosity piqued as she asked, "What is it?"

Emery had summoned her to discuss a crucial decision: whether Morgana should join him on the expedition to the Ancient Celestial Ruins.
